22-Arrival in Alfheim

22-Arrival in Alfheim

*Finally, I can get out of Asgard and see different realms* Swain thought.

He was lying on a thick branch of a two hundred meter long tree in the forest, watching the dark sky.

Swain's purple eyes were shining like a small space in the dark and they were in great harmony with the dark sky.

He was wearing the same clothes he always wore. Black leather pants, a black shirt and a black coat that reached his feet.

As he examined the dark sky, he was thinking about his journey tomorrow and he couldn't sleep from excitement. After all, he had never left Asgard since he was born.

Of course, unless you count the Hollow cave.

"I wonder if the light elves will accept the alliance. Even if they have a friendly relationship with Asgard, this is a big war and there will be many losses." Swain said to himself as he examined the dark sky.

"Anyway, this will be fun. Besides, I can join this war with my current power. I'm sure the soul of the frost giants is much better than the lizard men." he added.

Swain's demon energy was at a limit right now and he needed a lot of quality souls to break this limit.

"I need a weapon. Preferably a spear or a long katana. I hope Heimdall arranges this for me."

After saying these words, Swain closed his purple eyes that shone in the dark and slowly fell asleep.

He had no idea about the changes he would experience in the war.

...

When the darkness in the sky gave way to the light created by the artificial sun, Swain woke up yawning.

As soon as he woke up, he took control of a crow near the rainbow bridge and observed.

Heimdall was already waiting for Swain's arrival with a golden sword in his hand.

The surprising thing was that Frigga was also next to Heimdall.

Frigga was waiting there with a long black sword in her hand.

Swain couldn't help but be surprised when he saw this.

"I shouldn't keep them waiting."

Swain said these words as he jumped from the high tree. Before he hit the ground, the crows flying in the air quickly attacked Swain and spun around him quickly, forming a black sphere.

The black sphere formed by the crows was about to hit the ground when the crows quickly dispersed and flew to the sky.

No one came out of the sphere.

Swain was already on the rainbow bridge, in front of Heimdall and Frigga.

He walked towards Frigga with a small smile on his face and hugged her.

"Take care of yourself, son, and take this." Frigga said as she handed Swain the long sword in her hand.

Swain looked at the sword in front of him with a curious and surprised expression.

"A Tachi. I can see that it is very special at first glance. Where did you get this, mother?" Swain asked as he examined the katana in his hand.

The katana in his hand was 170 cm long and matte black. There were golden skulls on the scabbard and golden details on the hilt.

Swain could tell at a glance that this katana was scary and special. It was as if the skulls on the scabbard were alive and looking at Swain.

At least Swain felt that way.

He couldn't pull the katana out of its scabbard with one arm, so he created a demon arm and held the hilt of the katana with one hand and the scabbard with the other.

Heimdall couldn't help but frown as he looked at Swain's demon arm.

*It looks even more ominous up close* he thought.

As Swain pulled the katana out slowly, a disturbing friction sound came out.

Swain looked at the blade of the katana in his hand with a surprised expression.

The blade of the katana was so dark that it didn't reflect any light even though there was sun in the sky.

Also, when he pulled the katana out of its scabbard, it started to emit an ominous aura around it.

This ominous aura was not like the one on Swain's demon arm.

The ominous aura that Swain's demon arm emitted caused more fear and doubt, but the eerie aura that the katana emitted caused only one emotion to arise.

Fear of death.

As Swain looked at the blade of the katana in astonishment, Frigga began to speak:

"This sword was made by the chief dwarf Eitri a week before you were born. Uru metal was used when making this sword and this metal was enchanted by Odin. As you can understand from the scary aura it emits, the only purpose of this sword is to kill. When Odin had this sword made, his first thought was that it would be stronger than the Eternal spear Gungnir. Actually, you are the owner of this sword, Odin had it made to give it to his first child to be born, but he never gave it to you. According to Odin and Eitri, this sword was a failure. It had a special energy inside, but even after all these years, Odin couldn't activate this energy. Thus, it was doomed to rot in Asgard's treasure room."

Swain listened to Frigga while swinging the katana in his hand and getting used to its weight.

*So the reason for the energy inside is that it is a failed item.* Swain thought as he looked at the katana with his purple eyes.

*If it is a failed katana, then why does it activate my soul?*

Swain didn't know why, but his soul seemed to get stronger and wait to move when he held this katana.

"Another reason why this sword is a failure is that it absorbs energy." Frigga said.

Swain nodded. He had already tried it and the katana had rejected his demon energy. He clearly knew that this katana had great secrets.

"Whatever, it's a good weapon. Thank you, mother." Swain said with a smile.

"Are you ready to go, sir?"

Heimdall's words interrupted Swain and Frigga's conversation.

"Okay, I'm ready to go." Swain said and hugged his mother one last time before heading to Bifrost.

"Be careful, the light elves are prejudiced against strangers." Frigga said as she looked at her son's back.

Swain said "I know." and continued to walk.

He had already put the katana back in its scabbard and retracted his demon arm.

They didn't waste any time when they entered Bifrost.

Heimdall placed the golden sword in his hand into the keyhole and turned it once. Along with that, a sound came out as if Bifrost's engines were working and the gate that would fire the rainbow bridge began to glow.

"Good luck, sir." Heimdall said.

"Just call me Sw-"

Swain's words were cut off as the rainbow bridge moved and pulled him.

Swain looked around in astonishment. He was in the rainbow bridge for the first time in his life.

"Amazing." he said to himself.

He could see the colorful light around him and the only thing he felt was the feeling of moving from one place to another.

But before he could enjoy this feeling, he had already arrived at the realm of the light elves.

The rainbow bridge hit the ground at a great speed and sent a shock wave around.

When the rainbow bridge disappeared, there was a Swain lying on the ground where it hit.

"Damn it, I wasn't expecting this." Swain said angrily.

This was his first experience, so he didn't know how to get off the rainbow bridge.

He got up and cleaned the dirt stains on him with his hand and then looked around by lifting his head.

"Wow." Swain said in awe.

He was in a forest and it was full of trees. There were all kinds of plants and vines around the trees.

The surprising thing was the thickness and length of these trees. The trees in the forests of Asgard were maximum three hundred meters long and this was quite surprising. But the trees here overshadowed the trees in Asgard. The length of these trees was estimated to be between one and two kilometers and their thickness was as big as the houses in Asgard.

Swain continued to examine his surroundings in astonishment.

The sunlight from the sky came out from between the long trees and created an amazing scenery.

There was the sound of all kinds of creatures in the forest.

The oxygen in the air was so clean that Swain's head was spinning as he breathed.

"Run faster!"

"I can't run any faster!"

Swain's astonishment in examining his surroundings was interrupted by the voice of two girls.

He quickly grabbed the hilt of the katana attached to his left waist and turned to the direction where the running sound came from.

His eyes were focused and his hand was clenched to cut the person in front of him in half with the slightest movement.

Just two seconds later, two girls jumped out of the bushes in front of him. They looked like they were only 5 or 6 years old.

The ears of these girls were pointed and long as a sign that they were elves.

The two girl elves stopped in astonishment and fear when they saw Swain and looked at him.

The fact that these two girls jumped out of the grass did not allow the focus in Swain's eyes and the clenching in his hands to go away.

Swain was still looking at the bushes in front of him with a serious expression.

Just then, a green-skinned, 150 cm tall creature jumped out of the bushes. It had a leather armor on it. The sudden appearance of this creature caused the two elves to run towards Swain in fear.

*Apparently the elves were running away from this goblin.* Swain thought and swung his katana out of its scabbard with all his strength.

The goblin couldn't move as soon as it came out of the grass.

It stood still for a few seconds and then a wound mark appeared from its right armpit to its left shoulder and then its head fell back with its right arm.

"AHHHHH" the two girls closed their eyes and screamed when they saw this scene.

Swain swung his katana to the side without caring about them and cleaned the green blood on it.

*Quite sharp.*

After doing this, he turned his back and looked at the scared two elves.

The elves were looking at the katana in Swain's hand in fear.

"Okay, who are you and where am I in Alfheim right now?"
