Marcus slumps into the field. It is a grey stone slab with little cracks and divots in it. Theodora steps onto the field, and the class erupts with cheers.

"Theodora was number one in the whole school in middle school!" says the crowd member with no face.

"Damn, you really gotta beat a woman at 9:00. What a weird world" Götz says

"Winner go back to your seat, loser come line up" the professor says

"3, 2 ,1" the professor and the crowd cheer

Marcus explodes off the one and runs Theodora down as a thin black layer falls over his body. She immediately fires three orangish yellow fire bolts at him, they soak into his skin like water. She begins to back step while continuously firing bolts of various elements, some hit, some stray off their path, but none hurt Marcus. Marcus continues his assault and begins to drive Theodora to the back of the area, so she begins to strafe fire. She fires all types of spells, both area and stream line, but all of them are nothing to him. Marcus begins to corner her, so she fires a bolt at the ground and blinds him, then immediately goes for a single leg take down, but as she grabs his knee, she wraps Marcus' arms around her neck, guillotine choke. She tries to dig her chin in, but Marcus’s forearms are too thick. Marcus then begins to lift Theodora off the ground. She begins violently tapping Marcus, and Marcus looks off into space. The professor rushes towards the stage. Theodora goes limp and Marcus drops her to the ground and falls on top of her, hitting her in the head several times. Then the professor pushes Marcus off of her, Theodora snaps back awake to professor and Marcus arguing.

"What the fuck is a tap?" Marcus says.

"Tapping is when someone gives up and concedes the fight but is unable to talk. This is something that everybody learns on day one, I didn’t think I’d have to explain that!" the professor yells. The professor sighs and then raises Marcus’s hand. "Marcus wins," the professor says begrudgingly

The entire crowd is silent after watching what happened, except for one man.

"YEAH MARCUS BABY! WOOOOOOOOO" Götz cheers.

"NO ONE CAN STOP ME, UNTOUCHABLE, UNBEATABLE" Marcus responds.

The two of them gas each other up until it is time for Götz to go back on stage. Everyone stares at the two boys like they are insane until Götz gets up, then everyone quickly looks at their notebooks. Götz walks down to meet his opponent.

"Next up Götz and her highness Aethelflaed!" the professor shouts

"Her highness?" Götz says

"I had to beat up some random. You gotta mollywhop royalty." Marcus says, laughing.

3,2,1 The professor and the crowd chant.

Götz looks around for a bit while Aethelflaed shoots a yellow bolt of water straight at his leg. It glances off the inner thigh and his skin begins to bleed. This agitates Götz, and he begins to make the arena around Aethelflaed rise slowly with a red tint, then fire quickly at her head. In response she makes a yellow gas form around her and destroys all of the pieces. While she was doing this, however, Götz began to run towards her. Copying Marcus's strategy isn’t a bad idea, if he wasn’t double his size. Aethelflaed shoots 3 yellow fire bolts at his head, scorching his skin. In response, Götz raises more dirt from behind Aethelflaed’s head and continues to charge in. As she continuously fires at him and the distance closes, she charges up water in her hand and aims at crippling Götz. In response, Götz takes the dirt from behind her head and hits her with it. There wasn’t enough power to knock her over, but it was enough to disrupt her attack and she ends up shooting herself in the foot(if yall make horny comments about her feet, I stg). She screams out in pain but is quickly silenced by a right hook from Götz. She falls to the ground, and her nose is flattened like a pancake and her lips are busted open. The professor rushes in with a man with a machine. They hook Aethelflaed up to the machine, and her body slowly repairs itself. The nose slowly puts itself back into position and her foot stops bleeding. She regains consciousness and watches the decision being made.

"The winner is... Götz!" the professor says.

"WOOOO, YEAAAAHHHH GET THAT HOE OUT OF HERE." Marucs says

"That's not a nice thing to say," Götz says as he goes back to his seat.

"Fair enough, but we are still undefeated nonetheless." Marcus says gloating

The rest of the matches happen, but none of them are nearly as explosive as the first two. The people, when fighting, would go up on stage, and either try to shoot magical bolts and miss, or try to fight each other physically with no training. After the last two people have their bout, the professor makes an announcement.

"Too all of the winners, come and register your name using your phones and leave early , to the losers you will be receiving lessons combat on magical use against people, I excepted some of you, but others I am very disappointed in." The professor says

All of the winners cheer, while the losers sigh and shake their heads. Marcus and Götz look at each other, concerned.

"We don’t have phones." Marcus says

"Oh, you must be the boys the inspector told me about. He said he thought you would be good, but even he didn’t expect this," the professor says. "Here are your phones. Don’t worry; they are very intuitive," the professor continues.

"What do you mean by he didn’t expect this? How did he find out?" Götz questions.

"We were on a call the entire time," says the professor, turning his laptop. Then, on the other hand, the royal inspector is seen.

"You boys are doing good. Hopefully you will get recognized soon, I have no doubt that you will be the challengers for your class." The inspector says

"Challengers?" Götz and Marcus say

"JINX!" Marcus yells, socking Götz.

"The challengers are the top two members of your class. You are the two people who are allowed to challenge the upper levels of the dome for a spot," the inspector explains

"Interesting, so do we fight the bottom two of their class?" Marcus asks

"Originally yes, but it led to a cycle of four students constantly challenging one another and swapping places. Now, you challenge a randomly assigned member. " The inspector says

"I wouldn’t worry about that right now. You still need to beat everyone in this class first." The professor says

"To be honest, I don’t think that will be a problem." Götz says

"I mean everyone, including each other." The professor says

"Fuck" Marcus says

"Wait, then how do two people challenge?" Götz questions

"If you fought each other one hundred times, at some point, both of you would win at least one, right?" The professor responds

"Fair enough, anyway, we’re going to go eat." Marcus says

The boys walk into the dining hall again. The staff watch them walk in and their faces fill with dread. The scene that is left is indescribable, all of the staff in the kitchen is passed out while the cashier can only watch in horror. The teens walk out as if nothing has happened.

"What's our next class?" Götz asks

"Monster hunting," Marcus says with a scowl.
