"I don't know why you have your panties in a twist. I like monster hunting. " Gotz says

"Yeah yeah" Marcus groans

"How much you wanna bet that they don’t even think monsters are real?" Gotz says

"10 bucks, it wouldn’t be a class otherwise." Marcus says

They walk into a lecture hall. There is a giant cage with a massive spider inside of it. It is large and black with hairs the size of rulers and a body the size of their dorm rooms. The cage looks as old as the school, with rust and scratches all over it. Students all fill the back levels of the seats, trying to get as far away from the cage as possible. As a result, both of the teens have to sit in the front, next to their favorite people, Theodora and Aethlafaeld.

"Look at the little guy move," Gotz says

"Gimme my 10" Marcus says

"Fuck, forgot about that."

"It was literally less than 100 words ago"

"Fuck you"

"Fuck you"

"Alright, class How are y'all doing? Welcome to monster hunting " The professor says "Let me introduce to you our first lesson. This is Ant the spider."

"Ant the spider, that is a dumbass name," Marcus whispers

"ANYWAY" The professor says loudly. "Today we are going to be learning about how to kill a giant spider. Who knows the most dangerous part about a giant spider?" The professor asks

"It’s venom" Aethelfaeld says

"Correct, one bite from a giant spider is enough to kill one hundred men. Now who knows a giant spider's biggest weakness"

"Giant newspaper," Marcus says. The class snickers at his joke, but the laughter stops as the professor approaches Marcus.

"The answer is fire magic, but good try." The professor says with his eyes twitching. "When facing an attack from giant spiders, you must shoot a wide area fire magical attack. They are so weak to fire that they get scared if it is even close to them in the slightest. Watch this." The professor approaches the spider with a small flame on his finger. As he approaches the spider, it begins to violently squirm within its cage. The professor looks up at the spider "See, class, not such a scary monster after all." As he finishes his sentence, the spider bites the professor's head off, blood spewing out of his body as it goes limp to the ground.

"JESUS FUCKING CHRIST" Marucs yells. The spider then breaks through the shoddy rusted cage and lets out a giant hiss. It lunges at the front row of students, Gotz puts up a wall between them, but the spider's fangs penetrate through and shoot out a green viscous venom. It hits the second row of students, melting their arms and the wooden desks next to them. They scream out in pain and fall to the ground in shock. Marcus and Gotz run around the side of the spider and try to flank it, but the spider’s side eyes begin to follow them and he breaks through their wall. Both of them begin to shoot red fire attacks at the spider, but their magic is too weak for the spider to notice. The spider turns to face Gotz and begins to charge. He raises several walls in the spider's path, but he charges through all of them. Marcus runs and jumps onto one of the spider's legs, He begins to try and rip the spider's leg off its body, but it only moves a little bit. Then a yellow bolt of fire comes from the first row and shoots the spider on the leg Marcus is trying to rip off. Marcus falls to the ground as the spider hisses in pain. He turns to thank whoever shot it, but Aethlafaeld and Theodora begin to run towards the corner.

"THAT WAS THE PLAN" Marcus yells back

Marcus runs back to the spider's missing leg, but the spider kicks Marcus in the chest. Marcus grabs his leg and begins to drag the spider towards him. In response, the spider flings Marcus into the ceiling. As Marcus falls back down, he aims for the spider's body again. He misses the body by an inch, but when he misses, he grabs the spider’s long hair and pulls himself onto its body again. The spider bucks violently, but Marcus grabs onto his hairs as he pulls himself to the spider's missing leg. He sticks his arm inside and releases all of the mana he has left into its body. The spider's skin begins to move as if it was boiled and makes one last violent, desperate hiss as his body goes limp. The class erupts in cheers, and Gotz and Marcus fist bump each other. As they are celebrating, the corpse of the spider begins to leak a green gas.

"Lemme guess, the poison can be airborne too." Gotz says

"Probably," Marcus replies. Gotz runs towards the professor's desk and looks at his notes.

"Okay, so it won't kill us, but anyone who inhales it will go unconscious almost immediately. Also, the green stuff is an illusion; the real gas is clear. " Gotz says

"Well fuck," Marcus says, as the entire class, except for himself, collapses. Suddenly, a group of men in gas masks and flamethrowers show up at the class.

"What happened here" One of them says

"Take a wild guess." Marcus says as he falls to one knee.

"Fair enough," he replies.

The students begin to be rushed out of the classroom and into the medical center as Marcus is escorted out of the building. As he waits outside the building, the royal inspector walks towards the building.

"Everyone alright?" Marcus asks

"Yeah, the students who lost their arms are having them regrown and everyone else should be out of there by tomorrow." The inspector replies,

"So much for a normal day at school." Marcus says

"Yeah, stuff like that shouldn’t happen too often," the royal inspector replies, laughing.

"Well either way, I am hungry, so I’m going to go eat. See you in a month."

"Probably not,"

"Dick" Marcus says as he walks away towards the dining hall. When he gets there, he eats a normal amount of food and leaves as the kitchen staff watch him with worry. He walks out of the kitchen to see the dark dome. The sunset is impossible to see from this angle, and Marcus begins to trot home for the first time in his life. Marcus gets back to the dorm, brushes his teeth, and gets into his bed.

"I can see why this shit was made, I would never want to leave these walls if I thought that the outside world was like this too." Marcus laughs to himself.

He falls asleep on his bed, preparing for the next day of bs.
