Not even a full day had passed since Hisao's awakening... and he was once again under attack. This was both exhilarating, amusing... but also incredibly fucking scary. Despite resting for five whole months, his body clearly hasn't recovered fu yet. All he really wanted to do at this moment was to sleep for a century or a decade or whatever time that was. Unfortunately for him though, the fight wasn't going to stop anytime soon. If anything, it would probably only get worse the more he sat.
Hisao took a deep sigh as he prepared to get ready to fight, Ye-Hsiung and Noriyama already left immediately, he wondered if he even was ready to fight, but ever since he was younger - he couldn't just stand back and let others get in the way. But now, now he couldn't do shit... but he had to try.
Hisao rushed out of the building and saw a large ship near the port and screams arising from the area surrounding it. As he was getting closer he began to see a group of men, women and children trying to run away from people that wore large white suits. A man jumped up, aiming a sword at one of the soldiers who tried to protect a woman who was held captive by one of the enemy white suited perso The sword managed to graze across the woman's arm, drawing blood that flowed out profusely.
Hisao with his weak body knew he had to do something - fast. Hisao stood on the sandy pavement of the island, his hand hovering over the hilt of his cutlass. Opposite him stood a group of men, armed and more dangerous, he saw how he treated that woman earlier. They seemed to be a crew of a rival pirate ship, and they had come to claim the treasures of the island for themselves - or to just wreck havoc. Either way, his body rushed before he could have a chance to think.
Letting out a fierce growl as he drew his sword from its sheath. "You'll have to kill me before you lay a single finger on them," he snarled. Out of the hoard of the white suited people, there seemed to be a leader of the rival, a burly man with a bushy beard, sneered at the pirate. "Well, looks like we have no choice - my men attack!," he said, drawing his own sword.
The pirates charged forwards, swords swinging against one another as the fighting grew intense, Hisao fought with more and more slashes and parries, trying to keep the burly man at bay. He knew that if he could take out the leader, the rest of the white-suited people would likely retreat. As the two men clashed swords, Hisao could feel his muscles starting to tire. He had been in many fights before, but this one seemed to be taking a toll on him - after all his body hadn't been in a situation like this for over five months. He gritted his teeth and pressed on, knowing that the safety of his friends and crew depended on him despite everything hurting.
Just as he was starting to lose ground, Hisao saw an opening in the burly man's defenses. He took a deep breath and lunged forward, delivering a powerful blow that sent the man's sword flying out of his hand. The burly man let out a cry of frustration and defeat as Hisao stood tall, panting heavily but triumphant. Most of the other men seemed to fly off after their captain was incapacitated.
As Hisao caught his breath he noticed something odd. His shoulder felt heavy all of a sudden, and his strength had seemingly decreased by a lot. He looked down and sure enough; unbenownst to him they had made contact and left a cut in his shoulder, blood was flowing from the wounds and soaking Hisao's clothing. Hisao tried to ignore the pain in his shoulder and focus on the task at hand. He needed to find a way to stop the bleeding and get out of this fight alive. He made sure the people would be safe and checked to see if they were all okay, other than the woman they seemed mostly fine - so Hisao made sure to make sure she was fine before heading off.
"Hey, let's treat this." Hisao said in a serious voice as he helped the wounded woman to her senses nd wrapped a piece of cloth tightly around the cut.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
"I'll be fine, just hurry and get out of here," The woman whispered, she seemed a little shaken, although that might just have been because of what happened moments ago, "Thank you anyway..."
Hisao looked at himself, noticing more blood which caused him to slightly chuckle. "It's aight - I'll be fine... Hisao said with a smile, "But seriously - are you alright? You don't look so good..."
With a gentle smile she nodded. It was obvious that she was exhausted - Her arms seemed to be completely drained, "Yeah, it's nothing much... I'm fine. You really should hurry now." Her voice seemed wavering, but she respected her request and simply waved at her before leaving to go closer to the port area, the place where Ye-Hsiung seemed to be headed, and where most of the fighting could be heard.
After running into quite a few people he quickly ran towards a nearby tree to hide behind it to catch his breath and scope out the situation. Once he got there his body started to sink down against the trunk and he closed his eyes. His breathing started to even out, and he started to hear noises coming closer to him, suddenly, he felt a tap on his right shoulder and almost screeched, but then he realised who it was.
"Oi idiot, why are ye here?", his advisor said in a chuckling voice. "Ye-Hsiung told me that youse were gonna be resting in the govern's building."
Despite looking rather tired, Hisao smiled lightly and shook his head in response, "Well... I was worried about you so I decided to check in," he replied. "How are ye guys holding up?"
Matsudara shrugged, "Well didn' expect ta fight so soon - but my muscles needed to work out anyways."
Hisao grinned, "That's a relief actually. But still... you guys must be strong to be able to fend them off all this time. But then again based on my... one pirate I've fought, these pirates haven't been trained to be the best fighters, so maybe ye've been doing great."
Matsudara chuckled, "Aye, we've had our fair share of luck. But we've also been training for years, so it's not all luck. I'm sure you've still got some skill too, based on how you were able to fight off that one pirate."
"Is this fight gonna be over soon?"
Matsudara shook his head, "We're kind of outnumbered here yanno, especially considering our last fight lead us very down in numbahs..." Matsudra then corrected himself, "Ah, it isn't your fault though Hisao!"
Hisao averted his eyes a bit, feeling guilty about all those dead bodies - his leadership caused all of that. But before he could start talking the sound of metal clashing against metal came from the port and this time with an even louder scream followed, he raised his head to see an officer with large red hair, wearing a white suit and a large hat. This person... she seemed to be the official leader of the group.
She swung her blade and struck the same spots over and over, cutting down any soldiers she came across while screaming insults and orders to everyone else. Suddenly, Hisao felt his stomach churn. He looked back at Matsudara, concern filled his face.
He looked worried as well, "Shit..."
Suddenly, a voice raised - a woman filled in a flowing white commoner garment and dark hair that trailed down her back. She ran towards the woman and charged with just a chair in her hand. Hisao prepared for the worst for her, but somehow - she managed to hit the red hair captain straight in the face.
As a result, the dark haired woman stumbled back and tripped over her own feet, letting out a pained shout as her fall caused her injured foot to be stuck between a stone and sand. The woman laid there, seeing the captain slowly rising up.
Hisao couldn't stand this anymore... his fight or flight instincts came in - and it certainly wasn't flight.
"Aww, the idiot commoners of this island think they have a chance at beating me? Hah!" She said before rushing towards her. Before she could reach her a large swing of a blade struck her face. It was Ye-Hsiung, who looked a little tired but also more angry. "Come on... let's finish this!" Ye-Hsiung shouted as he gestured at Hisao. "Let's do our attack."
Without thinking twice, Hisao rushed forward... it was time for them to unleash their attack.
