Ohba Akagawa is a 24-year-old detective, who lives in Newport, Rhode Island, and has enough experience in a detective agency.  He is a person who has done a successful job in many cases and climbed the ranks on his job by being successful on every case and solving many mysteries. This even made him start not to experience any changes in his life lately because of the decreasing crime rate of the city. But even if he had lived his life in a normal direction for a long time, the recent cases of "disappearance" have confused both his and the minds of the whole public with appearing at an unexpected time.  These cases were seeming normal at first. But the increasing number of cases and the inability to solve the mystery behind them made the situation more difficult. So the bureau finally made its choice, and decided to put Akagawa on the job. Akagawa, On the other hand, sets out to uncover the truth behind this mystery. He is either going to solve everything or will never be able to see behind the case. However, the dangers that he will face on the way, are not at all what he thinks it is.
