The loud sound of water dripping onto the hard floor rings throughout the room, stirring the newly turned demon laying on the cold damp floor. And as the little demon began to move she could feel the cold hard stone floor beneath her; body still sore from the changes she experienced, until
What? Where am I? Everything hurts..
Those thoughts swam through her head that was being drowned out in pain and exhaustion, from her prior experience.
It’s so cold…
Sliding her hands onto the floor in front of her and pushing against it to lift herself up from the floor if even a little bit, pain searing all over her upper body faltering only a little until she looked around and found that the room was in black in white, it was as if all color had faded from the world.
“Why can I only see lines?! Why is there no color?!”
Then she looked down at herself and then stopped fear and shock gripping her.
Are these claws?? And wings?
Selene started shivering whether in pain, fear, or shock no longer mattered, her world was crashing down on her, the weight of her mistakes and choices leading her to this point seemingly catching up to her, deep down wishing she was still asleep, for now the terror of her predicament was hitting her all at once.
“I-I can’t…what the hell am I?”
The adrenaline coursing through her numbed the pain as she got up from the floor swaying trying hard to keep balance with her new appendages now attached to her, the feeling of new bones and muscle on her back connecting to her shoulder blades becoming more apparent to her now.
“Wait..where am I?”
Now taking stock of the room she’s in, It was difficult at first to know where everything was, it was as if you were looking at white lines on a black canvas, the lines creating shapes that resembled objects.
There in the silence of the room she could hear her own breathing, moving her eyes from one end of the room to another until.
A door!
She tried her best to stand up wobbling slightly her new found wings not helping very much with balancing, and walked to the door and began to slowly open it, it was then she was hit with a light and then the color of her world returned, for her to be met with a stone hallway lit from end to end with torches.
“Am I in some kind of castle?”
As she turned and looked down the corridor lined with doors and torches she realized that no one could possibly answer her questions.
Alright I need to calm down, let’s take this one step at a time
Selene slipped out of the room and then came onto the light from the torches in the hallway now revealing to her was some kind of bedroom, who of which would want to live in a windowless damp room like this was beyond her however, she couldn’t pay attention as she closed the door behind her she made her way down the left of the hallway.
There should be some kind of a way out of here, I gotta think positive-
A loud scratching came from her left and she quickly shot my head to see what it was…it was her claws that were now under her gaze being observed so as to ascertain whether or not it was even real…
What exactly am I?

Selene turned her head back to her main objective right now…to leave this place, before her eyes narrowed in on something that made her heart skip a beat,
“Stairs!”
Holy shit, that’s the best thing I’ve seen all day! I'm getting out of here!
She ran up the stairs and opened the door and before she could maybe feel just an OUNCE of happiness at finally being outside. It all came crashing down when she saw the strewn about corpses…walking. Selene quickly brought the door back and to hide her body but still just enough to see out into what was another room.
Are those zombies?! Did I really need to go from fantasy to apocalyptic hellscape?!
Maybe If I make a run for it?
Selene takes a look outside and at the massive groups of zombies wandering about, covering and spreading out amongst the rose garden and path leading out. A cold shiver runs through her back, looking at the B-horror movie plot in-front of her.
Alright, let’s not go out there..I don’t think I saw any doors out there anyway, it was like a maze out there made out of rose bushes, I think there was these corpses that looked like they had horns and wings wrapped up in vines too, which only made me think that it would be me other just like them if I ran out.
There she stood for what felt like an eternity before she finally whispered some words under her own breath.
“I need to get a grip, I need to get out of here.”
And so she closed the door to the maze of death out there, maybe there was another exit? Maybe another portal? Selene didn’t know all she knew was that she needed to hope for something else because looking out into that room one could only feel hopelessness.
Heading back the way she came Selene could only feel a weight on her head that she couldn’t quite figure out why..It wasn’t exactly fear although she had already been feeling that way ever since she ended up in this world, no it was anger, Selene didn’t really understand why at the time, but she had loathed herself for turning away from those undead.
Okay I’m back here, guess the second time’s the charm..
Selene walked down the path as it led into an empty room with one other door and some old decrepit decorations that have deteriorated no doubt from lack of care it was given. As Selene passed by a painting covered in cobwebs should could just make out the painting, A man clad in armor with a beautifully crafted sword, shining an ethereal gold glow with an army to his back and a companion to his side with a dagger in each hand, slaying a dragon who now lay dead on a mounted of corpses, with a backdrop of mountains, each to the side of what seems like a gigantic fortress carved into one of them, On it’s plaque it read something unintelligible, a language beyond what Selene knew.
Arriving at the door she grabbed a hold of the door knob. Closed her eyes and hoped with everything that she had.
Please, Please, Please no undead!
Selene opened the door carefully, but before it was open the full way an arrow flew by her head and landed on the wall behind her, in front of her were now 2 disgusting humanoid monsters resembling goblins if they were reptilian bearing similar but oversized human teeth, One wielding a rusted over sword and the other a bow and a quiver of bows.
It didn’t take Selene long before her fight or flight senses kicked in and she was immediately turning around to her left and bolting, barely having been missed by a long downward slash from the terrifying creature, she quickly grabbed a hold of the door she came in through and closed it behind her pushing her body weight against it, before she could take a breath the creatures bashed into the door flinging her off and breaking the door open
“How the fuck?!”
That feeling inside Selene was flaring up again, she had tried to run away against these things in front of her and even failed at that, but it was beginning to bubble up inside of her, it was there in the back of her mind from before, but now it was taking shape and bubbling to the surface.
