Selene Edwards was just a regular 23 year old college girl, on her way to work, before the bus she was on was transported into the middle of the ocean in a world where she was anything but an inhabitant on, where those around her would doubtlessly fall victim to horrors and monstrosities around them, either being hunted or being forced to hunt for the sake of their very lives to live through the trials ahead of them, and then tossed into the world and society of a people they don't even know.
