Han Jun’s POV:
“Wow… my prospective fiance is pretty gorgeous huh” Han Jun murmured in a hushed whisper to his first retainer, Liu Ran.
Liu Ran is the heir of a fairly prestigious mid-sized count family, and willingly became Han Jun’s follower after Han Jun beat him in a sparring match when they were 5, which was 4 years back.
Liu Ran just rolled his eyes, as if he was mocking Han Jun. He knew Han Jun was just trying to mock Liu Ran since Liu Ran’s marriage talks with Jia YiFei had fallen through.
‘Wow, I know this girl was born a genius like me but with her looks alone she could easily just live a life freely mooching off of her suitors. I sure hope she doesn’t try to seduce me, I'm the total package, rich, handsome, and talented! Which woman won’t fall for me?’ Han Jun was born slightly narcissistic, or as he calls it self-aware.
‘Let me just be polite and see where it goes, who knows? Maybe she is the one?’
Cultivators were less focused about matters like age, after all their world was more cutthroat and kids were forced to grow up fast, furthermore they could live forever!. So the 5 year age gap did not mean much, even if Jia YiFei was only 4. Well, she did transmigrate so her mental age was actually 25+4.
“Welcome to my family’s humble abode Lady Jia. Pl-” Unexpectedly, he was cut off by Jia YiFei.
“Yeah, nice to meet you too! Great house! I am going to find your younger brother now, thanks!”
Then, the pretty little girl rushed off to the general direction of Han Kuang’s courtyard.
‘What the shit just happened?’ Han Jun was utterly confused, bewildered even.
Liu Ran discreetly used his Qi voice transmission “Getting cucked before it even starts huh?”
The amalgamation of his thoughts and Liu Ran’s insult was uncontrollable laughter.
He laughed so hard he started tearing up and he was more out of breath than when he sparred against 4 of his peers simultaneously.
“HAHAHAHA, it seems my brother is going to have a hard time in the future with such a lively suitor!” Han Jun literally LOL-ed IRL.
Although Han Ju could hear the family’s retainers whispering and border-line slandering Han Kuang, it wasn’t anything he truly cared about. After all, the lion does not concern himself with the opinion of the sheep.
Even if it snowballed into a widespread rumour all he had to do was show his good relationship with Han Kuang, or make Han Kuang's disinterest in the position of heir known.

Jia YiFei’s POV:
‘Just a couple more steps and I will get to meet my Baby Han!!! Oh my god, I wonder what he looks like as a 4 year old? He must be so cuteeeeeee!!! I wish I lived till the Manhua was released, it was announced just 4 chapters back. But it's even better now! I can see him, talk to him, maybe even…’ As she thought of this, a subtle grin crept onto her face and a much less subtle red tint painted her face a reddish hue all the way down to her neck.
However, it seems that she forgot Han Kuang was currently meant to be at the young age of 4. Well, more like 116+4 but that is a secret only known to Han Kuang.
Then, she heard a young voice call Han Jun his elder brother and a feminine voice responding. She naturally knew that Han Jun only had 1 younger sibling and her heart started racing while her mind froze.
She could only muster up 1 thought. Pose like a badass while blocking their way, this way they would be forced to initiate a conversation with her and she could look cool while doing it! What an excellent idea!
So she went for the most common power pose, The Arms Akimbo. Would she look like those motivational speakers she saw on the video sites starting with B or Y, she didn’t care. Her main goal was to seem friendly and cool.
Later on, this would become her iconic pose. But that’s a story for a later time.
In no time at all, the footsteps drew ever closer and much louder. She saw Han Kuang and his maid turn the corner and their mouths just dropped.
‘Wow, looks like my beauty is effective on everyone.’ She proudly smirked.
‘Even females and future professional playboys! Getting Han Kuang’s heart will be so easy when he’s already charmed from such a young age. We can be childhood sweethearts like Li Mu and Lu XiaoXi (Great novel called My stubborn childhood friend is also cute today on ShangHai fantasy) without the distancing during the high school part though. In this life, he is never going to become a playboy! He’s going to be hitched to me!’ Thinking of this Jia YiFei’s grin grew much wider, and she could feel her ears heating up.
“Hey! You must be Han Kuang, I am Jia YiFei. Want to be friends? We could have playdates and spar together!” Jia YiFei said in a cheerful tone, completely abandoning the nonchalant persona she wanted to construct at first.
Seeing Han Kuang’s confused expression made her feel inexplicably excited and fueled her desire to tease him more. Like a young person teasing their crush, though it is juvenile it felt amazing. If not, why would people consistently do it?
Han Kuang’s POV:
‘What the fuck. Why is my brother’s fiance here? Also, how can a beauty like her possibly go unnoticed? Even if she became a hermit expert later on, I am sure there would be rumours of her. Wait, I can’t possibly ignore her. That’s horrible manners. How…do I talk to women again? I only remember how to charm them…to bed them…’
So he did what he had learned in his courtesy class in his past life when he was 13. He bowed his head slightly and reached his hand out for a handshake.
Seeing Jia YiFei readily shake his hand he was slightly shocked but did his best to not let it show. He did his utmost best to maintain an expression of neutrality and nonchalance.
“It’s nice to meet you, Lady Jia. Why are you not conversing with my brother? Also why did you seem to be lying in wait for me? Of course, I am more than willing to be friends with you.” Han Kuang said in a cordial tone.
Jia YiFei continued to hold his hand even after he finished his sentence, and Han Kuang’s face of tranquillity finally shattered.
‘Why isn’t she not letting go? Also, wasn’t she here to pursue better relations with Han Jun? Why does it seem like she is here for me instead?’ Han Kuang’s eyes seemed to lose focus as he sank his focus deeper into his thoughts.
Jia YiFei’s POV:
‘What? He is losing focus when he is talking to me, why? Is he getting embarrassed from handholding? Or maybe it's because I was too forward? This won’t do.’
“Han Kuang! Let’s go to the town outside? I saw a chain dumpling store running a promotion, buy two get one free! My treat!”
Unfortunately, the children of the Han Family were not allowed to leave the residence until they turned 5. The answer to her question was bound to be rejection.
Han Kuang’s POV:
“Sorry, I’m not 5 years old yet. Maybe you could ask me next year, or I could ask you.” The corners of his mouth curved up to flash Jia YiFei, the first charming grin of this life.
‘Oh shit, it came out subconsciously…’
Then, a completely unexpected reaction happened.
Jia YiFei was blushing. She became Jia FanQie.
