"What... What did you say? Try saying it again if you dare!" Althea's voice quivered with rage as she pointed accusingly at Ashton and then at Julian, her face flushed crimson with anger. It seemed she had reached her breaking point.
"Enough! Both of you, calm down!" Zaiden finally erupted in anger as the head of the family.
"Julian, Ashton, you both speak of grand ideals, but do you truly not care about us and plan to abandon us? Did your mother and I raise you only for you to forsake us in the future? Are you both so self-centered?"
The barrage of questions momentarily silenced Ashton, but Julian continued to argue vehemently, "I want to take care of you, Dad! But can't I marry Roselynn and still take care of you? Is Roselynn nothing but a monster in your eyes? Did you raise me just to manipulate me like a puppet in the future?"
Zaiden was rendered speechless. He was actually more open-minded than Althea, understanding that imposing their values on their children was wrong. However, not everything could be resolved just by uttering popular theories.
"Enough! Silence, all of you! Let me think about it first!" In the end, Zaiden silenced the entire family with a bellow.
Julian and Ashton left the room for the time being.
Althea, on the other hand, relentlessly confronted Zaiden, her words flowing like a stream of accusations. "Zaiden, do you realize what you're doing? Why are you giving them false hope? As their father, shouldn't you be deciding what's best for them? Their hearts are all leaning towards the Quillen family. If this goes on, the Summerton family will be ruined-"

Overwhelmed with frustration, Zaiden suddenly lost his temper and delivered a stinging slap across Althea's face.
Althea was left utterly stunned. She couldn't believe what had just transpired. In their thirty years together, Zaiden had never laid a hand on her, always gentle and composed.
Yet, she never anticipated this sudden outburst.
Immediately after the slap, Zaiden felt a pang of regret, gazing at his own hand in disbelief. It took a while before he withdrew his hand. "Stop pestering me! What's right or wrong isn't for you to decide!"
With that, he left the room without looking back.
Left alone, Althea grappled with her emotions, tears streaming down her face. Early the next morning, Emmanuel and Mackenzie hurried to a hospital in Onza. Tommy lay unconscious in his hospital bed while Tia and Ryder attended to him. Blake, on the other hand, stood outside alone. He wasn't afraid of Ryder but feared he would disturb Tommy's rest in case he got into a confrontation with Ryder.
As Emmanuel and Mackenzie entered, Ryder immediately inquired, "What's the situation, Manny? Why hasn't Tommy regained consciousness?"
Emmanuel assessed Tommy's condition and sighed heavily. "Tommy's still struggling with a brain circulation disorder. Without proper treatment, he could end up in a vegetative state!"
Had it not been for the urgency of saving Mackenzie and the baby the day before,
Emmanuel would have administered acupuncture to Tommy then. But the delay had worsened Tommy's condition.
Hearing this, Blake outside spat and cursed, "D*mn you, Tanners! D*mn you, Yosef Harper! You won't get away with this!"
If Yosef hadn't intervened, Blake believed he could have easily handled the situation, and Tommy wouldn't be in this state.

Ryder and Tia, on the other hand, visibly relaxed at the news.
Emmanuel was ready to start treatment, but a nurse stepped in and quickly
