DEADLY COORDINATION
Just as she lifted her head, two guns were already aimed at her.
It's over. Ashton didn't expect so many gunmen on the ship. She was still climbing, so she did not have any free hands and didn't know how to deal with the situation for a moment.
Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from below deck, momentarily distracting the gunmen. Ashton seized the opportunity to swing herself onto the deck, landing with a soft thud. She quickly scanned her surroundings, noting the positions of the armed men.
“Hands up!” one of the gunmen shouted, regaining his focus.
Ashton slowly raised her hands, her mind racing as she calculated her next move. Just then, she heard a familiar voice shout from behind the gunmen, “Drop your weapons!”
It was Blake, leading a small team of armed allies. The gunmen hesitated, glancing between Ashton and Blake’s group. Taking advantage of their distraction, Ashton lunged forward, kicking one of the guns out of a man's hand. Chaos erupted as Blake’s team engaged the gunmen.
In the confusion, Ashton rolled to the side, grabbing the fallen gun and taking cover behind a barrel. She fired a warning shot into the air, causing the remaining gunmen to scatter. Blake quickly moved to her side, covering her as they advanced toward the ship's control room.
“We need to secure the bridge and stop this ship,” Blake said, his voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through him.
Ashton nodded, and they made their way through the narrow corridors, encountering resistance at every turn. With each step, they fought off attackers, inching closer to their goal. The sound of gunfire echoed through the metal walls, a constant reminder of the danger they faced.
Finally, they reached the control room. Blake kicked the door open, and they stormed inside, quickly subduing the crew. Ashton rushed to the controls, her fingers flying over the buttons and switches as she worked to bring the ship to a halt.
“Got it!” she exclaimed, relief flooding her voice as the ship’s engines powered down.
Blake nodded, scanning the room for any remaining threats. “We’re not out of the woods yet. We need to secure the rest of the ship and make sure everyone is safe.”This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Ashton agreed, but for the first time since boarding the ship, she allowed herself a moment to breathe. They had managed to turn the tide in their favor, but the battle was far from over.
With the immediate danger passed, they regrouped with their allies, preparing for the final push to reclaim the ship. Ashton knew they had come too far to fail now. With Blake by her side, she felt a renewed sense of determination. They would see this mission through, no matter the cost.
