Blake Kingston. One of the most well known people in the robber world (at least around these parts) and one of the most skilled "borrowers" in existence. That might be a bit of an exaggeration, but compared to our little group, I'm under exaggerating. And to learn that he might be partners with Flynn, I have a whole new respect for the man that I saw that fateful night.
"No way. No fucking way. How?" Everyone looked at the computer screen and then at me now, probably surprised of how I met someone so well known, or at least friends with someone well known, coincidentally.
"Is this a reliable website?" Aaron asked. He sounded like an elementary school teacher because of the way he sounded, but he had a solid point.
As Rhett peered over to look at the screen, he commented, "Yeah, it might not be. It looks like a forum, but it's also our only lead."
"You're right. But how are we going to find him?" I was worried that we couldn't even follow this lead.
"Is there anything that could be worth stealing in the near future in the area?" Rhett asked. "They might go for something that's new."
Max searched "Museum openings near A , NY". I pointed to the Williamson Museum's website, which seemed to have a new artifact on display called the "Zephyr Lady".
I don't know if this will work, but it's worth a shot.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
"The description makes it sound almost priceless, so they might go for it," Mei said while closing her eyes and putting her hand to her chin, deep in thought. "Ash, Aaron, Max, and I will go to the opening. Nick and Rhett, you stay here," she ordered.
"What?! That's not fair! I didn't get to do anything before and look what happened! I also don't want to be stuck with him..." Nick protested.
"We need to have someone with Rhett and I think that you're the most... yeah," Mei couldn't really find the correct words, so she awkwardly ended the sentence. But we all knew what she wanted to say.
You're the most obviously suspicious, you asshole.
In response to this, Rhett cried out, "And what is that supposed to mean? That I can't take care of myself?"
Everyone, including Nick, gave a swift nod. Rhett gave an over dramatic gasp and then fell onto the sofa while murmuring, "Fine... see if I care. I don't care..."
I sighed and Mei went on with the plan. "Are there any questions?" When no one responded, she continued, "Ok then. Everyone, come here at 6pm next Saturday and we'll go to the opening."
We all agreed and started to delegate roles to everyone for Saturday's performance. Even if they weren't there, this was still an opportunity for us to steal it. Max and I would be looking for Flynn and/or Blake, while Aaron and Mei would take note of security. Because it's opening night, there with be more security than usual. That allows us to overcompensate the way we would plan out the heist.
By the time we were finished, it was nearing 9 and you could clearly see the full moon outside. Everyone, except for Aaron and Mei, left. They were roommates and it was their house and our home base. Max and I left the same way because we live in the same apartment complex. Nick and Rhett, on the other hand, went separate ways despite living on the same street.
I looked up and saw the moon shining as it was in the middle of its waning period. I stuck it my arm and outstretched my hand, then making a fist as if I was snatching the moon.
It looks so much like the ring. I wonder if it's posible to steal the moon?
