It's midday now, I am not sure when they will arrive. The bandits that is. We have been traveling along the western shore line for many days now. The people back at the caravan said that we would get to the city of Tyros on the eve of the 16th. It is now the 21st. I don't know what is going on but this is hell. The other guards were sure that we should have encountered bandits more than ten times already. The trip has lasted several days already, what am I supposed to tell my wife. Anyway it seems that the the Merchants are getting into a quarrel with someone. People and their damn egos, usually this is not a problem, though it seems to be from not just the long trip. This fucking heat is another problem. Why was their no tent awning. Just a bit of shade to relieve the atmosphere is all we need.... What the hell is going on over there? Can't they just shut the hell up? Do I really need to involve myself? No, no if given time i'm sure that they can settle their differences. Gods help me if I need to head over there.
----------------------------------------
10 Minutes later
----------------------------------------
"Fine!", It seems what must be done, must be done! '??? aproaches the men, as he gets closer ??? recognizes the head merchant and the noble that they are gaurding. It appears that they are in an argument with each other? It seems the hired guards are trying to pry them apart while the noblemans own guard harrasses all who get to close to the nobleman.'
"What the bloody hell is going on here."
Ah. It seems they now notice me. Good, though this needs to stop.
"Ah. Mister Melborne it seems that you finally seem to come out your shell and throw your weight around. Mind if I ask that who, in Creators name you are talking to! Speak to me like that, and not only will you be flogged, but I will have your entire family flogged as well! Keep your tounge yet, Boy!" - ???
Bastard! I should flog you for your own self-inflated ego. Hmph. I will keep shut about this though, but know I will get you back for your liquid mouth.
"My apologises Lord Relshock, I seem to have indeed lost my tounge. Though I must ask because of the commotion that it is causing. May I inquire to know what is going on then." - Melborne
"Nonsense, it does seem that our conversation has gotten out of hand though. Anyway the good Lord and I were talking about the prospect of stoping in the local town of Delburn and restocking on food and letting the men rest. I know these roads, dispite what it may seem. The fork is just up ahead you can see it from here!" - ???
"And I have told you again, and again old man, that we will be fine. It is enough that we are already been set back by the obstacles that we have encountered. Do you see that high cliff in the distance Leswalt, or have your eyes failed you again?" - Relshock
"......." - Leswalt
"No? Then allow me to enlighten you. That cliff is Divpen Cliff. That cliff marks on the map, that Tyros is just an evening away! Now tell me you fool, am I correct in my assumption?" - Relshock
Now seeing it, it is indeed Divpen Cliff. Damn! I hate to agree with the asshole, but there is no doubt that he is right. Well shit.
"I am sorry to say, but he is right Leswalt. That is indeed Divpen Cliff. If we walk a little more then we will see Tyros in the distance right after we pass the cliff. It won't be but a evening away. We should move forward quickly before it becomes too dark, and our eyes can see the sun and its light no longer." - Melborne
"By the gods, it seems that you're right! Good eyesight Lord Relshock" - Leswalt
"Hmph. Of course I was right."-Relshock
"And you too Mr. Melborne. Hahahaha. It seems I am losing my eye sight. By the Gods, it seems I need to get myself some of those fancy looking glasses. Hahahaha. Well we best be on our way then.", Leswalt siad, "Men! Prepare to get the horses to move quickly. We will stop to give the horses a quick drink and then we quicken our pace! The town of Tyros is just an evening away!"
"Hoorrrra!" - Guards
"Alright as I have said, we will rest a bit to help recover the horses. then we will be on our marry way. I hope this is fine with you boys. I also must rest and recover." - Leswalt, 'Leswalt walks off to the middle of the caravan.'
"Hmmm. It seems as though I am off too, I have paper work to attend to. I know you mean well boy, but learn to talk to your superiors with respect. Not all are as kind as me, who would forgive that little quip. I hope to talk again on a better note. In the meantime though, you should look back on this as a small learning experience.", says Relshock, "Guards to me! We return to the carriage. Captain Edward, I expect you to do you job and watch out for bandits, take some of your men with you. The rest of you are heading with me to the carriage!" 'Relshock walks back to his carriage with some of his guards in tow.'
"Well Mr. Melborne, can I expect that you are to go walkin with us?" - Edward
I have always liked Edward, a strong and loyal man. Good friend, and a terrible comedian. He has been the captain of Relshocks guard for up to five years. I don't know why he still works for Relshock. Lord Relshock might be a more benevolent lord than others, but he is still corrupt, compared to the majority of the commeners.
"Of course, how can I say no to an old friend. After all if you die, I would be the only one to show up at your funeral, that would be horribly akward. Hahahaha!" - Melborne
----------------------------------------
Edward and I left with his group. It took us a good 30 minutes to reach the halfway point to the Cliff, along the way we ran in to returning scouting parties who warned us of ptential threats ahead. They said that what they heard was voices, and that they saw some human tracks. We were also informed that it was a big group of atleast 90 men. This is worriesome with us we only have a standing force of 30 men. Although it is highly likely that we are better equiped, and stronger. We just can't be sure. We decided to hold our ground and stick to small scouting parties that will be dispached from the main group. When one group goes out another group must return. With this we assured ourselves that any enemy movements trying to get past this point will be know to us. We waited for a good hour and a half before we saw the Caravan creeping over the hill that took us up the road. It was not steep, it was just a long climb. When they finally made it to us I could see the excitment on their faces. The thought of finally getting into an Inn, getting piss drunk, finding a nice bed, and getting a pretty whore to share the bed with.
Assholes the lot of them. When we get there they get to have fun with a bitch and I get to drink alone at the bar. Well in the long run, I won't complain. My wife is a pearl that has no equal. Still someone warm in your bed is always a welcome thought. It has been half an hour since we have since set off again and we are now in front of Divpen Cliff. A secondary Cliff that runs parallel to the first. The view from the first cliff out into the unexplored ocean is magnificent. The sun tat has almost set is giving off a sparkling effect on the water. And just as well with this speed we might reach the city 30 minutes after the sun sets. As I look around I activate my sensing magics and immediatly get a response. It seems we are surrounded. From the looks of it, no one seems to have noticed. Okay... calm is the best way to work this angle. We need to be careful. 'Making his way towards Edward, Melborne reports his finding, trying to make it look like he wanted to tell him a joke. With the situation reported, Edward laughs at Melbornes 'joke' and goes up to the guards one by one with Melborne. This is reapeted until all guards have been notified, and have moved into appropriate positions. As the guards got into position Melborne tried to get the merchants into the safest area of the caravan without raising panic, while Edward informed his lord of the ongoing situation. That was until the bandits catched on and fired a crossbow shot at Melborne'

*shinnk
"FUCK!" - Melborne
Damn! That was close. Son of a Bitch.
"Men! Form up and protect the caravan. And for fucks sake! Somebody take down that damn archer! - Melborne
Lets see who we are up against.
Name: ??? Level: 17

Well it seems as if we can take them if the come at us in small groups. Hopefully they will but I highly doubt that, but still we can only hope for the best. The strongest people in this group are, Edward, Relshock, Me, and another mercenary who was hired, that was apparently a mage. We are all around level thirty-five. With most of the guards being around level twenty-five If we play our cards right we can win. That was until we saw what we thought was the boss of the bandits in front of us. A man was around 5'11(180cm), sort of beefy, had light leather armor and a steel shoulder pad. He weilded a basterd sword in one hand and a buckler shield in the other. Loudly he annouced his pressence with a deal.
"Lonesome Caravan on the rise, we wish you no harm less it comes to you. I Jameson Melport, will offer you a deal. Hand over most of your goods and we will leave you be. Hold on to them like greedy children and you will die a slow death. What do you say. A deal! Or would you like to haggle. Hahaha!"- Jameson
Name: Jameson Melport Level: 42
This has got to be a joke. I can see that Edward is also aware of his existence. Maybe we can talk our way out of this. They out number us 3/1 if we try to hold in formation like this, we will be easy pickings. If we sererate the man from his goons then we can potentially win. Shit, this is not the time to be fanciful with our tactics, we need a solid plan. Still to be in a stituation like this. Maybe the gods good fortune is obscured by a cloud. Well fuck it! Lets do this the hard way then!
"Edward, Relshock! If we seperate and kill the man, then we can surley dipose of the other bandits then, right? If so then let us get this over with!" - Melborne
"Right!" - Edward
"Very well! But screw up and I will flog you from hell!" - Relshock
"Charge in all at once, don't let them pick you off! Kill them!" - Jameson
"AAAHHHHH!" - Bandits
"Hold firm!" - Guards
Right. Well they seem to do exactly as I predicted for the time being, but that could change. 'Melborn, Edward, and Relshock charged right through the bandits. In the proccess killing five of them. This was followed by magic bombs as support from the mage. They did not get through without injury though as Edward suffered a slash aross his arm. Before they made it through the line of bandits, Melborne saw off to his right the crossbow man getting gutted by tree shrapnel from the bombs. Melborne smilled as his like of the mage rose a small notch, and of the fact that an obstacle was out of the way. With the group finally pushing through the line they found themselves in front of the leader of the bandits. He was unfortunatly surrounded by a small group of bandits '
"Well it seems we now stand face to face Lord Relshock. Though it seems that are first meeting has gone a little wrong. When this battle is over im sure that a ransom for you to your house and king will bring in some good coin. Otherwise it is sad that I might have to kill you, if you don't put down your arms." - Jameson
"Sit your ass down boy, before I send you back home shitting yourselft!" - Relshock
"Whoo big talk for a pampered old man. You will make good coin for us. Maybe I will exchange you for your daughter. Fuck the shit out of your little whore. Send here back a slut whos taken on many men!" - Jameson
"I can't wait till I kill you." - Edward
*This below, was rewriten as it was not saved before hand, I rewrote it in a rush. Sorry (not sorry).
'Reslhock moved as though he was the wind. Cutting down three of the bandits with appearent ease. With his ability Wind Dash that he gained at level 25 he was able to increase his speed by 50%. The death of the fourth would have been secure, if it was not for Jameson backhanding him with his buckler. With a back flip he landed on his feet with a broken nose. Melborne and Edward rushed over and soon replaced Relshock so that he may defeat the remaining two bandits. The battle between Jameson, Edward, and Melborne ensued into the meantime with Jameson being the one on the backfoot. Though all was not well as Edward was still suffering from the slash at his arm. Blood was nonstop pouring through the wound, but at a slow pace. Dealing with two level 35s at once was trouble some but not unmanagable. That was until Relshock rejoined them after dealing with the two bandits. With abilitys being passed back in forth it was hard not to get hit. And with three high levels facing him at once it was then that Jameson realized the situation he was in.'
"I tire of this. Void Mace!" - Jameson 'A completeley balck mace materializes in his hand surrounded by dark purple swirls ready to strike.'
"Fire Shield!" - Melborne 'A shield of fire materializes in front of him thus blocking the maces attack. Doing this it disapates along with the mace.'
'And with that Jameson nods off to the side. This catches Melbornes attention. While turning he is kicked, and tumbles away getting dirt in his eyes. With his attention on what Jameson nodded at he sees of in the distance Leswalt. Leswalt pulls out a crossbow and kills the hired mage. Shooting him in the head. Melborne realizes that they have been duped as Leswalt fires more bolts and ends a few more guards. This gives the bandits a surge that killed off the last few guards.'
"Edward, Melborne, with me, we can't do any more here. Its over, lets escape while we can!" - Relshock
"He is right. Lets go. This fight is over and no more can be done." - Edward
'Looking back at the carrige. Taking it all in. The dead, the betrayed, all the cargo, and families. Its been a while since he has been in a situation like this. He loves it. Now he can finally enjoy the chase. The dead dont matter, only you do. It was thier fault that they died. Should have been more cautious if you wanted to live. He nodded to his friends and swiftly left the skirmish.'
"Shit! Fuck! Chase after them don't let the Earl get away! Get them!" - Jameson
"Relax son. They won't get so far they have been injured and will leave a trail of blood. It would be a simpltons work to not find them." - Leswalt
"Still I don't like the feeling of them getting away." - Jameson
'Melborne, Relshock and Edward dashed into the forest at a sprint. Not completly sure of which direction they were headed. It was dark too, the sun having since long set on the horizen. Moving through the brush of the forest proved diffucult as they continuosly tripped over the fallen branches and logs. Soon, 5 minutes passed and they were gasping for breath as they stood on the cliff line, looking at the vast ocean before them. The sounds of yelling, sounded from behind them as they heard the bandits closing in on them. Looking around they decided that climbing down would be the best option. Halfdown they heard men on top of the cliff. They slowed down and tried to make as little noise as possible.'
"Damn. So quickly. I would have thought that they would have taken longer and looked around the area some more. If they don't suspect anything though. Than that means we will have an easy escape." - Melborne
"Okay. Just don't make any sounds" - Edward
"I understand, so why don't you two just shut u-" - Relshock
"Ohhh, Well is this not a pleasant suprise. Relshock, Edward, Mister Melborne, I was wondering where you ran off to. Now that we are back together I can calm my racing heart. We looked every where for you. So, why don't you come back up here and talk about whats going on." - Leswalt
"Fuck you, old man. You and your croonies will be tormented in the underworld." - Relshock
'Leswalt motions for a few bandits to come over and bring out crossbows that they got from inside the caravan while a nearby bandit steped closer with his torch. This cut off all routes of escape'
"Whats going on over here? Have we found them? Or are you just standing there looking at the oc-. Oh. Hello down there. Give up! You have lost!" - Jameson
Why? Why? Why? Why us, why not someone else? Can we survive the jump from here? Its just sand, it should soften our fall. Okay I can do this I am ready. GO! No, no, no, no come on just jump.
"Guys we jump in 3! Ready! 3!" - Melborne
"2!" - Edward
"Bloody Hell! 1!" - Relshock
'Jumping off the cliff, they fell for three seconds before they landed. Their landing was harsh, with Melborne breaking an ankle and Relshock being knocked unconscious. After they landed Melborne laid down upon arock that stuck from the ground like a ragged tooth. They missed it be ten feet. Edward dragged Relshock over and also laid him down on the rock. With the rock behind them and the cliff wall infront they were wide open for attacks. That was until a bight light flooded the western horizen. Almost pure red in appearence, it was an omen.'
"Is it dawn already?" - Jameson
*TrEmOr!!
'The earth shook, and spasamed under their feet.'
