Chapter 6 "

‘Sword intent!’ Diana was surprised from the level of sharpness emitting from the beam of sword intent. Once she saw the fierce sword intent level that Bo had unleashed towards the red-haired youth, Diana attempted to move towards him to block the heavy sword intent attack heading towards the young boy.

“Watch out!” Diana exclaimed as she fell over trying to make her way over to help the red-haired youth, however, Diana was still severely injured and could only come to a halt and drop to her knees.

The red-haired youth clearly saw Diana trying to help him which this gave him a good impression of Diana and was grateful in his heart. The red-haired youth was thoroughly surprised when Bo had used sword intent to attack because sword intent is extremely hard to gain enlightenment in and comprehend. The red-haired youth was also frightened by the beam of sword intent Bo had unleashed towards him, however, he kept his composure even though he was shaking.

“Just how much did he comprehend from his enlightenment to create such a fierce sword intent?”

The red-haired youth and everyone else, with the exception of Luc, was shocked from the level of sword intent Bo had comprehension. Although Bo’s performance had shock everyone, the level that he had reached in sword intent was just like a tiny droplet of water from the vast ocean. The level of comprehension for sword intent Bo had was frightening and was undefeated at his homeland generation. Bo can even cause a challenging fight for those a level ahead in cultivation base because of his sword skills.

Sword intent is one of the hardest intent to gain enlightenment in, even just comprehending a tiny bit of enlightenment would greatly boost one’s attack power but one has to comprehend the enlightenment they received first. Otherwise, the situation would be like having a book without reading it to understanding the contents within. Having sword intent was a tremendous advantage over people that were at the same cultivation level and even those a level higher would have trouble fighting someone with sword intent. Those cultivators that have gained enlightenment in sword intent were powerful beings once they were able to completely mature in cultivation. A number of cultivators that trained in swords were by no means few, however those that have gained enlightenment and comprehended sword intent were only a few handfuls out of tens of thousands. To those cultivators that have had comprehended sword intent no matter what level they reached in sword intent they would be respected no matter where they go, to some extent they could be called a genius.

The red-haired youth reacted hastily to the beam of sword intent, maneuvering from tree branch to tree branch swiftly like a monkey. The beam of sword intent was flying through the air following wherever the red-haired youth was last at and behind him was a trail of shredded trees. The only thing that remained was the base of the tree and a pile of shredded chunks of wood.

‘What a high level of control!’ The red-haired youth thought while breathing heavily. Although he was just at the 9th level of the Foundation Stage(peak of Foundation Stage) he was facing against Bo, who was at the 2nd level of Qi Condensation Stage which was a stage higher than the Foundation Stage.

In the path of cultivation, one has to know that moving from one stage to a higher stage is easier said than done. The difficulty was as hard as trying to swim through raging tidal waves crashing down onto you.

The red-haired youth was facing tremendous pressure ever since the beginning of the confrontation with the burly, bearded man. His strength compared to Bo was like a cub baring its fang to an adult lion. although he knew his strength was not on par against Bo he was confident in his speed, however, the red-haired youth did not have sufficient amount of energy to sustain himself like Bo because he was only at the Foundation Stage.

With a sullen expression, the red-haired youth knew he was at his limit and couldn’t do anything. So knowingly he couldn’t win he had to try. He turned around, circulating all of his qi within him he struck out both palms straight in front of him to face towards the incoming sword intent. While circulating his qi to the maximum, a beautiful bright red aura had suddenly exploded out from within the red-haired youth and enveloping him. Upon closer look, while the red-haired tattered shirt was enveloped in the fiery aura a faint image was appearing on his skin like a tattoo. Although this image was faint it burned his tattered shirt into crisp and eventually into ashes. What could be seen on the red-haired youth bare chest was an image of a black snake that had yet to mature.

What was this black snake that had appeared on the red-haired youth’s body? How can it cause such a strong fiery aura?

The red-haired youth had shut his eyes and struck both palms out to receive the sword intent, completely oblivious to the changes to his outer appearance. One can see tears building up only on his right eye, as he mumbled to himself to what seems like his last words in a tiny voice that only he can hear.

Standing there with tears dripping, arms out and palms facing the incoming beam of sword intent he waited… he waited… and waited. The red-haired youth felt like he had waited for what felt like years.

“Kachi!”

In the next moment, he only heard a gust of wind that blew near him and the sound of swords clashing could be heard. Right after the scraping noise died down he heard a male voice that was powerful yet enchanting to the point of causing him to become absent-minded momentarily.

“Are you alright boy?”

An unknown yet enchanting voice could be heard in front of him. The red-haired youth slowly opened his eyes. Looking towards where the voice was coming from, there was a young male figure in front of him that wore an expensive looking golden coat that had a golden dragon embedded, coiling around the coat from neck to toes. Judging from his back alone, this mysterious man gave off a strong feeling of security. It was as if he was capable of standing against the might of the heavens themselves.

With eyes filled with confusion, pondering about what had happened to the beam of sword intent and why this young man was standing in front of him. The red-haired youth had not realized his surroundings yet, and everyone around him that had witnessed what had just taken place had their mouths open and jaws low enough to touch the ground.

After creating Diana a new outfit that replaced her tattered white dress. Luc was like an audience member spectating a show.

Luc was starting to feel annoyed with Taric’s attitude and how demanding he was. Luc was feeling more and more irritated from just watching what was going on. Even though Luc didn’t know what the feeling of being annoyed was, he felt as if there was an impulse provoking him to take action. This only served as fuel for Luc’s frustration which was something Luc was not accustomed to. He felt a strong urge to release some of his pent-up stress and even more so when he encountered someone like Taric.

“Oh, what is this?”

Luc mumbled to himself watching a beam of light was heading towards the red-haired youth that was now standing still, eyes shut, both arms outwards to face the incoming beam of sword intent. But Luc could feel that the beam of sword intent was also a part of him, which peaked his interest in how sword intent was being used.

‘So Humans uses this energy in this way?’

Luc was surprised from how Bo was using sword intent since he had never seen how another living species used this energy. Luc was only observing the beam of sword intent that was closing in on the red-haired youth. Just when the beam of sword intent was just less than a meter away from the red-haired youth. Luc had moved at an extreme speed, within a blink of an eye Luc was in front of the red-haired youth. There were no fancy techniques to his moves nor was there any spacial rift being used, it was only pure physical speed being displayed. Luc had previously observed the red-haired youth when he was running around and dodging the burly, bearded man greatsword.

Luc was trying to blend into society so that he can act like those around him and to make him seem like a normal cultivator within society. However, seeing how fast the red-haired youth was moving, this was a set scale that allowed Luc to see how fast he should move to fit in the world of cultivation. But Luc was a completely different existence, so how can he move at the speed of the red-haired youth? It was like trying to make a hare move at the speed of a snail.

Once Luc arrived in front of the red-haired youth, he casually walked towards the incoming beam of sword intent with both hands behind his back, as if he just was strolling through his backyard. With a single light step, Luc had unleashed a domineering and oppressive pressure. A pressure that had caused the surrounding air to twist and turn like a raging tempest, which shredded the nearby trees into powders. If one was to watch this scene one would be shocked. One step can destroy an empire. One step can shake the world. One step can slay the gods.

Slowly and surely the beam of sword intent was starting to bend, distort, then shrank until there was nothing left when it was an arm's length from Luc. From the tempest, Luc had caused the beam of sword intent to dissipated easily without a struggle.

The beam of sword intent that Bo had a mental connection to had suddenly disappeared. His appearance along with the five-man group was completely disheveled. They were struggling to use their qi and mana within them just to barely stand in put from the raging tempest.

Bo was frozen in place like a statue, he was was extremely shocked that his connection with his sword intent had disappeared. From his experience, no one had ever dissipated his sword intent easily from just a step. Most shocking of all this young man in front of him seems much younger than him! Only his master at the Extraction Stage was the only one that could dissipate his sword intent, however, not by stepping. The burly, bearded man was surprised that such a strong tempest was capable of rendering him useless and unmoving. He was not the only one to have such thought because Joe, Bo, and Taric also had the same thoughts.

“Who are you, sir?”

The ugly, fat man said in a wary, clear voice towards Luc, while circulating his qi to the maximum within him to respond to any danger at notice. This ugly, fat man was none other than Joe who had unleashed a heavy aura on the red-haired youth earlier. Joe’s instinct was screaming out to him that this handsome young man in front of him was dangerous. The handsome young man in front of them that wore a golden coat with dragons embedded onto it had managed to pin each and every single one of them to a standstill using only a step. Joe knew his own strength was by no mean weak since he was the second strongest in the group with Bo in first; however, since Bo was easily forced into a situation where he couldn’t do anything, moreover, the speed that Luc had travel was instantaneous. This only made Joe more vigilant around the handsome young man in front of them.

“Want to know my name?” Luc showed an unpleasant expression, “You are not worthy, now I want your group to leave this area immediately.” His voice resounded throughout the group of five-man ears.

Joe was frowning from the arrogant response Luc had given him, however, he couldn’t complain out loud ‘Who was Luc? And how come I have never heard of him?’ questions were going through Joe’s mind and just before he got to speak out, a voice filled with annoyance could be heard coming from his side.

“How dare you! Just who do you think you are!?”

Joe had frozen up from hearing this voice. This was none other than Taric Bellavard, the 4th young master of the well-powerful Bellavard family. An arrogant 17 years old boy that did not understand the current situation they were currently in except for the fact that there was a strong tempest that came out of nowhere and a young man in a golden coat asking them to leave this area. Joe was trying to speak to Taric and tell him what they should not do to offend this strong genius, however, with Taric’s haughty attitude he silenced Joe with raise of his hand. The burly, bearded man was still focused on protecting Taric from the raging tempest, and Bo was still pondering how can his sword intent be dissipated into nothing that even his master can’t do immediately. Only Joe was the one focused on the current issue with beads of sweat forming on his head, afraid that the current situation might go poorly for them Joe grabbed a talisman from his pocket, which was given to each one of Taric’s bodyguards for them to use to teleport the 4th young master for precaution.

Luc just stood there, if one was to look closely at his eyes one would see that there was a white glow rotating stronger and stronger like a whirlpool. He was staring down at Taric and slowly releasing his aura, which caused the energy fluctuation in the surrounding area immediately changed from calm to chaotic. With the five-man group, excluding the red-haired youth, was feeling incredible pressure locked onto them and was by no means decreasing. Feeling this ever-increasing tremendous aura locked onto them; Bo and the burly, bearded man had focused and looked towards Luc’s direction and was shocked at the aura emanating from such a young man. However, the next line from Luc caused Joe to shake in fright.

“Do I dare?” Luc expression was scornful “Yes I do and since I have nothing to do might as well have what you humans so call ‘fun’.” With a wave of Luc’s arm, the surrounding area energy fluctuation immediately turned sharp and making the group of five feel countless of serrated knife pressing against their skin.

“Not good!” Joe immediately crushed the talisman in his hand and was turning pale from seeing a frightening view displaying in front of him.
