{Gen Savage}
We followed the strange speaking wolf woman to her home. She was very talkative and seemed to keep looking at me. Love seemed to flow off her as she looked at me.
“What’s your name, Darlin?” She asked me. It was odd that she said darling in the same way big sis Uta did. She was wearing a dress made of animal fur and had dark brown hair, ears and tail. I wondered what that tail would feel like?
“Gen Savage. What is yours?” I asked. I smelled jealousy coming off Snow as she puffed her cheeks and frowned at the wolf woman.
“Little ol me? My name is Willow Vastos. You got a girl?” She asked, fluttering her eyes at me. I stopped, my heart hammering in my chest. Is this happening?
“He has two, me and Ket.” Snow said jumping between us. Really? You have to play games now. Was she saying that so she wouldn’t have to deal with Willow and I?
“That’s okay. You want one more?” Willow asked, winking at me. Snow froze and I nodded after making sure Snow couldn’t see me. This made Willow’s tail wag and I waved my own as I smile in a lovestruck way. Suddenly she moved past Snow and wrapped around my arm, making my heart thunder in my ears. “Let’s go see Mama and then you and I can get to know each other.” A huge black dire wolf put its head on top of mine as though to say, careful boy. I nodded and reached up to scratch under the wolf’s chin. The wolf leaned into it and let its huge tongue hang out, nearly slapping me in the face. Snow grabbed my other arm glaring daggers at Willow. Why was she angry? I shook my head trying to return to the mission as I tried not to think about the lovely wolf woman clinging to me.
A cabin came into view and I saw a huge blonde human standing outside using a hoe on a garden. He turned to us and dropped the hoe, his hands balling into fists as a scowl took over his features. His blue eyes narrowed as he snarled at me. I gulped and stopped. Willow let go and bounced up to the man and waved at him. Snow took a battle stance feeling the energy of the moment. I was on guard too. This man was dangerous, but I didn’t know how. “Daddy, look what I found.” She said waving at us. The huge dire wolf followed after her.
“Snow, stand down unless they attack first.” I said coldly. She nodded and took a step back. I walked slowly towards the man. He nodded at me, fire burning in his eyes.
“Soldier, what is your business?” He growled through closed teeth.
“I am here for my target and nothing else.” He moved almost as fast as I was and was standing near me before I could react. Willow tried to move to us, but Snow blocked her. The dire wolf moved in front of the house.
“Fuck you.” He said reaching out a hand. Green healing magic flowed over my feet.
“Fused foot bones, not life threatenin.” He said moving closer to me. I grit my teeth and grabbed a mana nullifier off my belt. This is going to suck. I used my air jump skill and broke the fused bones. Yep, it hurt, but I could move and used my speed and his shock to slap a nullifier on him. He hit me in the face and knocked me back before clawing at the nullifier. I spat out some blood and smiled at him.
“That won't work.” I said gritting my teeth. My feet hurt like a bitch, but this man needed to be knocked out quickly. Mana wasn’t his only issue. I moved close and landed a hit on his chin, knocking him to his back. Once down, I sat on his chest, my fist raised up to end this. There was a slam at the door, a shadow fell over me and I turned to the new threat to see big sis Lily, anger clear on her face as waves of anger flowed off her. Big sis Lily sapped me. I wanted to cry. Big sis Lily had never hit me and it hurt far worse than the physical pain.
“GET OFF MY HUSBAND YOU, YOU, YOU EVIL MAN!!!” I moved off him and held my face. Big sis Lily was mad at me. Wait a minute? She only had one eye and didn’t smell or sound like big sis Lily. This had to be Clover. I stood and regretted the action. My feet hurt badly.
“You must be Clover Vastos.” I said bowing deeply to her.
“What do you want with me and my family?” She asked, anger clear on her face. She looked exactly like big sis Lily, but looking closer I could see the difference. She wore her hair in a low, loose ponytail. A long white sundress hugged her middle and she was barefoot.
“I am here to see if you and your family wish to join our city.” I said standing as still as I could, my heart hammering from fear and from the thrill of combat. Clover was standing between me and the strange human man. She blinked that large red eye at me and frowned, her hands that had been outstretched fell to her side.
“Why?” She asked, puzzled.
“You have family there and family should stay together.” I took a breath hoping my words would reach her.
“You just want another slave.” the human said, rolling to his stomach so he could stand.
“No Sir. Big sis Lily is free. The only slaves in our house are big sis Midna and big sis Mai and both of them refuse to let big brother set them free.” At my words, I saw Willow reach up to her own collar.
“Why would he do that?” The human asked.
“No, clue. Would you like to ask him yourself?” I asked with a slight smile. At least he wasn’t trying to punch me.
“And if I say no?” Clover asked with a frown on her face. I took a breath about to play my last trump card.
“I was ordered to offer you a potion that allows the races to mix.” I said moving my finger between the human and Clover. The space she had been was now a puff of dirt kicked up with a trail leading to the house. There was a banging noise in the house, and I looked at the human with my eyebrows raised up. He was blushing as he growled at me.
“You are lying.” He said through gritted teeth before spitting out a mouthful of blood.
“I’m not. I have several nieces and nephews who are mixed. If you move the little diamond rune on the right, the bracelet will fall off.” I said pointing at the nullifier. He did so and smiled as it fell off and he healed his chin before turning to me. Without warning he punched me in the face with a smile before healing me. I was pissed at the pain, but laughed as he not only healed my face, but my legs to normal.
“Cocky little brat.” He growled as he reached out to help me up. I smiled an took his hand as Clover stood in the doorway, panting as she hulled bags full of clothing.
“What are we waiting for?” She said angrily at us. The human laughed and walked over to talk to her. I pulled out the walkie talkie and spoke to Ket.
“We may need a ride. Come get us and We’ll pick up our Knights on the way back.”
“Is she coming with us?” Ket asked in a small voice.
“Three guests coming with us.” I said with a sigh. Snow and Willow walked over to me. Willow had a huge smile on her face.
“I’ve never seen anyone fight Daddy and live. You‘re strong.” I nodded and turned to Snow.

“And where were you?” I asked her. Snow smiled and beamed at me.
“We agreed that watching your fight was more interesting than fighting each other.” She said with a sly smile as she stuck out her tongue. I shook my head and laughed. The human returned to tower over me.
“How the hells are we gettin there?” He asked, his mouth turned up in a slight smile.
“Our ride is coming.” I said moving into a military pose. Something about this man was bringing out my combat training. It was like he was my commanding officer. He stopped and put his hand to the ground before looking around.
“Somethin big comin, get in the house. Maybe it will leave us be.” He said turning to grab Willow and Clover. “Come on, we ain't got much time.” I smiled at him and Snow laughed behind her hand.
“Not helping Snow. This is our ride.” I said turning to the woods. The trees parted and Ket came into view pulling the RV. I looked over my shoulder to see the three standing their slack jaws and stunned expressions. Ket moved next to the house and lowered the rail allowing her to dismount from the huge metal bull.
“That is a Knight.” The human said in awe. I turned to him and bowed.
“Allow me to properly introduce myself and my party. I am Gen Savage, This is Snowdrop Cottontail, and that one walking slowly to us is Ket Ra Co.” I said bowing at the three. Snow bowed with me and I smiled at how professional it felt. On rising I saw Clover step up and smile at me.
“You know my name. This big bear of a man is my husband Fastos Gon Vastos, but he likes being called Quick. I take it, you know our daughter.” She said, blinking at me. Was that a wink? With one eye it was hard to tell.
“We have met and are here to welcome you three to the town Happy Valley, under the control of Prince Alex Savage and under the rule of The Beast King.” I had expected shock or them to be impressed, but all three looked puzzled. They didn’t understand how impressive big brother was. This is going to be fun.
An hour later, we were relaxing in the RV as Clover, Willow and Quick looked around in amazement. “If you guys like this, you are going to love our town. We have hot tubs and mana stoves and fridges and so much more.” Snow said to Willow. The two women had a talk and quickly became friends as I was showing them around. Maybe she could talk Snow into stop teasing me. Quick sat across from me and smiled uneasily at me.
“Sorry about your feet.” He said sheepishly. “I just got worried when you called my wife a target.” Clover came over and kissed his cheek making him blush.
“You are such a bear.” She said with a sweet smile. It was cute how lovey dovey they were. It reminded me of my big sisters and big brother. The love coming off the two was almost overwhelming.
“How long it goin to take us to get there?” Quick asked.
“About a month, but we have to stop in a little so Snow and I can pick up our Knights.” He blinked at me and frowned.
“All three of you are Commanders?” He asked not believing me. I nodded and smiled.
“Big brother makes them.” I said with a smile.
“A prince makes Knights. You mean he has a shop full of people who make them for him?” He asked. Snow and I laughed. I had to shake my head at that joke.
“Someone helping him? He would scare them off or use them for mana.” I said. Snow laughed harder.
“You remember when Lily found him with a wrench glued to his face?” She asked. I joined her and held my side.
“How about the time that he nearly lost a hand testing the jaw of a Knight?” The three were laughing, but unsure about the inside joke. Clover moved to the kitchen and Snow showed her how the stove worked and then the fridge.
“There should be some milk and water in the fridge if you want something to drink. We should have some Hunter’s blend in the cabinets. Clover clapped as the stove heated water.
“Much easer than over a fire.” She said bouncing. I had never seen a bunny so carefree and happy. It was like the woman had no self control or fear of others. Even Snow despite being a battle bunny still watched her words and movements at times. More so if she was around Mama, big sis Lily’s mother. I turned to Quick and nodded to him.
“I should warn you.” He sat up frowning at me. “Her mother is there too.” His face went pale as he looked at me.
“Now I know you are lying.” He said, but his face showed that he knew I wasn’t.
“One more thing, mixed marriages are accepted.” He frowned at me.
“Stop. Don’t give me hope like that.” He said, shaking his head.
“He’s not lying. I can hear his heart.” Clover said, turning to me and blushing. Her ear had flopped down and she hid her eye behind it. I turned back to see a goofy grin on his face as a blush creeped up his cheeks. Willow smiled as she sat next to me and lay her head on my shoulder. He frowned at me, raising an eyebrow.
“Relax Daddy, you know he is a good guy.” She said sweetly. I nodded and hoped he could see that.
“Let the lovebirds play.” Clover scolded him and blinked at me. I hoped she was winking. Snow turned and puffed her cheeks as she frowned at Willow. I looked up at the roof unsure what to do. The walkie talkie triggered and Ket’s voice came through to us.
“We are moving.” She said in her clipped way.
“Thank you for the warning.” I turned to Quick who looked at the box in my hand.
“What is that?” He asked in amazement.
“Big brother made it so we could talk to each other.” I said proudly. Maybe now he would understand what we were talking about. The RV shifted and Clover fell, and Snow caught her.
“It’s odd that we look alike.” Clover said to Snow.
“That is because we are half-sisters.” Snow said with a sweet smile.
“Half?”
“We have the same mother, but different fathers. Lily can explain it better as I barely remember that time.” I nodded, never knowing that fact about Snow.
“Who is my father?” Clover asked sweetly.
“No clue, but you can ask Mama.”
“That won’t work as I’m Mama,” Clover exclaimed, tilting her head to the side.
“More than one person can be called Mama.” Snow said with a slight laugh.
“Oh, I didn’t know that. I had my memory taken so I could be with Quick.” She said gazing lovingly over at him. Snow looked over and frowned at me and Willow. I smelled jealousy coming off her. Was she into Willow too? I hoped she wouldn’t try to steal Willow from me. Quick grunted and glared at me. I could smell the anger coming off him in waves. What had I done?
“I think you and I should have a word in the other room.” I nodded and stood gulping in fear. He was the last person I wished to piss off, but somehow, I had. When we were alone in the back viewing room, he sat on the couch and pointed at the chair across from it. “Sit.” He commanded. I did so on the edge of the chair, one to let my tail move freely and to be able to defend myself if he attacked me. “What do you plan to do with my daughter?” He asked, his voice in a low warning growl.
“Nothing at all.” I said in a small voice. I knew he could see the flush creeping up my face. My tail came forward and I held it. It was a tick I had picked up when I was little and even now I couldn’t help but hold my tail when I was helpless and scared. Quick saw my actions and laughed, but it came out slightly cruel.
“Don’t mean nothin, kid. Just wantin to know your intentions.” I looked over at him feeling small and scared. Why did I feel this way when I was talking to him, but calm and focused when fighting?
“I don’t have any intentions.” I said lowering my eyes as my ears went back. What did he want to know?
“Look, I’ll come at you like a man, and I ask that back?” Was he asking to mate? No, he didn’t smell like love. I was VERY grateful he didn’t like me like that. “I know you have two women and know how beasts feel about having more than one. Not judgin, but I need to know my girl is safe and happy.” I sighed with relief filling my frame.
“That is what this is about.” I said, my ears focusing on him and my tail starting to wave. “I want to let her choose what happens.” I said nodding proudly.
“And iffen that leads to your bed?” He asked, his face growing dark. I blushed madly and my tail stood on end as the question washed over my mind. He openly laughed at me, and his demeanor shifted as he slapped his leg. “Didn’t mean no harm. Relax youngen.” He said wiping a tear as he laughed.
“I have to wait until I’m sixteen winters.” I said my voice low and full of embarrassment. He blinked at me, shock on his face.
“You under contract magic?” He asked. I shook my head.
“Something stronger than contract magic, honor.” I looked over to his clear blue eyes. He laughed harder and it felt like he was mocking me. I frowned and lashed my tail from side to side in annoyance.
“You are a rare one. Let’s see iffen you can hold back.” He said standing. “Even if you can’t, you treat her right or you’ll find out why they called me Faceless in the war.” I blinked at him, my blood running cold. I had read about Faceless, the hero healer from the great war. He was a healer who used healing magic not just to save his allies, but to kill his enemies. He would remove their faces giving him the nickname Faceless, according to documats enimy solodiers would be found with flat smooth skin where their faces had once been. In rare cases, they would find a ball of fused flesh, meat and bone. Somehow, I had fallen for the daughter of number seventeen on the list of strongest people to be avoided.
“Can I call you Quick or would you rather go by Faceless?” His face darkened as he looked away from me.
“I don’t like my old nickname.” I smelled sorrow coming off of him.
“Well then,” I said standing, “It’s nice to meet you Quick.” He took my offered hand and a smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
“I still don’t like you.”
“I’d feel self-conscious if you did like me.” He laughed at my words as we rejoined the others.
We retrieved our Knights. Quick, Willow and Clover watched us load them into the bays with shocked looks. It looked like our rough start was getting smoother and I might actually be able to make it back safely.
