A Day of Renewal

The soft glow of a lantern lit up Ardi's bedroom as he lay on his futon, eyes fixed on the floating screen in front of him. His Nexus Garb was connected to his vision, letting him browse an endless library of anime thanks to its Quantum Connection.

With a small smirk, he picked Fate: Stay Night [Unlimited Blade Works] and let the opening theme play.

"Man, this is pure nostalgia," he thought, sinking deeper into his bedding. The animation, the battles, the philosophy of heroism—it all hit differently now. He wasn't just a chubby otaku teacher anymore. He could actually relate to Shirou's struggles, though in his own way.

Just as the episode reached its climax, Yui—who had been curled up in her tiny fairy form on a cushion near his pillow—fluttered her wings lazily. She peeked at the glowing screen with sleepy eyes.

"Master…" she mumbled, rubbing her eyes. "You're seriously watching anime now?"

Ardi chuckled, running his fingers through Yui's soft silver hair. "Come on, Yui. I need a break after everything today. I used to do this all the time back in my old world."

Yui pouted. "And here I thought you'd rather spend the night with me."

Ardi smirked and paused the anime. He carefully picked up Yui's tiny body, bringing her close before placing a soft kiss on her forehead. Her wings twitched slightly.

"I can do both," he whispered.

Yui's face turned bright red, and she quickly wiggled out of his grasp. "H-Hmph! You're lucky I'm too sleepy to tease you back!" She buried herself into his pillow, leaving only her glowing blue eyes visible.

Ardi laughed, shaking his head.

Before drifting off to sleep, he pulled up his Quest System. With a practiced tap on the "Claim Rewards" button, a glowing panel appeared in front of him.

"Not bad," he thought.

He tapped on each item, bringing up short descriptions:

----------------------------------------

Ninja Pouch (White Tier Item)

A small pouch filled with 10 shuriken, 2 kunai, and 1 smoke bomb. Perfect for quick attacks or making a fast getaway.

Steel Katana (White Tier Item)

A well-crafted sword, sharp and sturdy. A good weapon for kenjutsu training.

Wooden Bow Set (Green Tier Item)

A traditional bow with 25 iron arrows. Great for practicing archery. Wildlife Tracking Skill (Green Tier Skill)

A skill that sharpens your senses, helping you track animals in the wild. Arcane Sanctum Blueprint (Blue Tier Item)

A magical research building straight out of Warcraft. It serves as a library and training ground for mages, allowing magical research, enchantment crafting, and elemental studies.

Ardi's Thoughts: This could change everything…

Avalon's Obelisk (Red Tier Building)

A massive obelisk covered in glowing runes, standing at the heart of Minori Village.

Barrier Generator: Creates a protective shield (1 km radius) and alerts the Lord of any intrusions.

Special Storage: A dimensional inventory that lets Ardi store and retrieve items—even from another world.

Ardi's Thoughts: So I can access my stuff anywhere? That's insane.

Meat Field (Purple Tier Building)

A weird but amazing farm from Digimon. Instead of crops, it grows meat.

Small Meat: Basic food supply (1 unit).

Giant Meat: Bigger and more filling (5 units).

Sirloin: High-quality meat (3 Giant Meat's worth).

The field regenerates over time, and its size/output can increase with proper care.

Ardi's Thoughts: A farm that grows meat? This is peak isekai nonsense… and I love it.

The Omniblade (Red Tier – Exclusive Weapon)

A sword with shape-shifting abilities.

Absorption: Copies the form and properties of any weapon it touches.

Assimilation: Gains unique traits from objects it fuses with.

Growth: Evolves over time, unlocking new abilities.

Sentience (Locked): May eventually gain intelligence.

Ardi's Thoughts: This isn't just a sword—it's alive.

----------------------------------------

He summoned the blade in his hand. At first, it looked like a simple black katana. But as he gripped it, he felt something pulse from within. Almost like… the sword was responding to him.

Ardi took a deep breath. "This world never stops surprising me."

Yui, now hovering beside him, watched with a small smile. "Master… you're really getting used to this."

Ardi smirked, putting The Omniblade back into his inventory. "Of course. I have a great fairy watching over me."

Yui huffed but couldn't hide her smile. "You better not forget that."

Ardi lay back on his futon, stretching with a satisfied sigh. The night was peaceful.

Tomorrow would bring new challenges, but for now—he could finally get some rest.

The morning sun rose over Minori Village, bathing the quiet paths in a warm glow. After a refreshing bath and a hearty breakfast, Ardi sat down and opened his quest panel to check today's tasks.

As usual, he had to complete a morning jog (5 laps), kenjutsu training with Kenshin, and kyūdō practice with Emi. But today, something felt different—lighter. Unlike the repetitive routines of his old life, every task here had meaning.

With a simple thought, his Nexus Garb shifted from his cozy nighttime kimono into a crisp white kimono and hakama decorated with subtle blue wave patterns. He fastened his obi, securing both his Omniblade and a Steel Katana at his waist like a proper samurai, then stepped into his waraji. Taking one last glance in the mirror, he smirked.

"Not bad," he muttered before heading outside.

Ardi started his jog around the village, his footsteps steady on the cobblestone paths. Yui fluttered beside him, her tiny wings shimmering in the sunlight.

"Master, you're running much faster today," she teased, her voice playful.

Ardi chuckled. "I feel good, Yui. Every step reminds me that I'm free—no more boring routines like before."

As he ran, he paused here and there to catch his breath and greet the villagers.

At the paddy fields, he waved at Kazuo and the carpenters working on the farm. "Morning, everyone! How's it going?"

Kazuo wiped the sweat from his brow and smiled. "Good morning, My Lord. Your energy lifts our spirits. We'll make sure these fields thrive."

Further ahead, he spotted Hajime, polishing the newly built forge. The blacksmith looked up and gave a respectful nod.

"My Lord, the forge is finally ready. I hope it serves you well."

Ardi nodded back. "Great work, Hajime. Every little effort brings us closer to a better future."

After nearly 10 kilometers, Ardi finally slowed to a stop beneath a large, ancient tree near Daimyo Manor. He took a deep breath, feeling the morning air cool against his skin.

Opening the Live Maps Menu on his Nexus Interface, he entered building mode and carefully placed:

----------------------------------------

Avalon's Obelisk → Right at the center of Minori Village, in front of Daimyo Manor.

Meat Field → Near the Fairy Spring of Abundance, making sure it was easily accessible to farmers.

----------------------------------------

It was a perfect layout—efficient, organized, and designed for the village's growth.

A murmur spread through the villagers as they noticed the sudden appearance of new buildings. Some looked excited, others confused. Sensing their unease, Ardi's expression turned calm but firm.

"Ren," he called quietly.

From behind a sandari tree near the manor, Ren and four shinobi stepped forward.

Ardi gestured toward the growing crowd. "Talk to the villagers. Let them know these buildings will help us. Also, find Genjiro and his farmers—tell them they're in charge of the Meat Field. If they tend to it properly, everyone will get to enjoy fresh meat tomorrow."

Ren bowed. "Understood, My Lord."

With swift, silent movements, he and his team vanished, leaving Ardi to watch as his vision for the village slowly took shape.
