I entered the elevator, as usual, everyone seemed tense, if what I read in the note is true then we'll be dealing with an Aleph abnormality
"This is such Bullshit" One of the Agents complained "We JUST got started, and they throw this at us? the fuck?" The Agent standing beside him kicked his leg
"You signed up for this last time I checked, so stop whining like a child." The two started arguing then I noticed that Oliver was nowhere to be seen. I kept looking around the elevator making sure I didn't miss him until I got tapped on my shoulder, I turned to see the clerk from yesterday
"Oliver probably got down ahead of us, there's no need to worry, so focus on our job instead"
"Right, I'll do that"The elevator opened after my response and we all exited to be greeted by....not Taylor
"Mornin everyone" We were greeted instead by a short, teal-haired girl. Everyone stood in the elevator until one of the Agents who argued spoke up
"Since when was bring your child to work day a thing here" After that remark, the girl looked pissed and shouted at him
"I AM NOT A KID!" She fidgeted something inside her uniform and pulled out a badge "I'm your new Sephirah" I could tell half of us were holding in laughs that was at least till we felt a glare at us. I looked to my right to see Taylor starting at us with his sinister smile, he walked over to us and put his hand on the girl's shoulder
"Everyone this is Tsuki, She'll be the Sephirah of the Information team, we're meant to be getting the Sephirah of the training and security team tomorrow but for now we'll make do with just the Control and the Info team, everyone, you all know what to do, and because of the new ALEPH Abnormality you guys can't screw around until we know how to handle it, any questions?" I walked in front of the others to ask my question
"Just one, where's Oliver?"
"Hmm, dunno he didn't show up, you wanna go check on him, think of this as paid leave"
"Alright, I'll go check on him" I turned around and headed back for the elevator looking at the phone Oliver gave me 'He didn't just go up and die on me after one day right?' The doors closed and I started to go up, still looking at the phone. I sighed and flipped the phone, catching it and putting it in my pocket 'I shouldn't be so paranoid, after all the whole reason I'm taking my leave is to check on him' I thought to myself also questioning why they were being so kind 'I thought the corporation didn't care about its employees...although I cause that isn't the case for everyone' The elevator doors opened up telling me I arrived at my destination, although, I thought I saw something in the corner of my eye. I exited the elevator and again, took out the phone Oliver gave me 'He must've given me some sort of address I went to contacts with Oliver and Taylor being the only ones there, and wouldn't you know Oliver did enter his address in 'Alright, time to get going'

I arrived at his apartment. Walking up the stairs to the fifth floor I started thinking what could've been wrong with him, he was out of it yesterday. I knocked on his door waiting for an answer, after not getting one I noticed the door wasn't locked. I grabbed the doorknob and opened the door to see Oliver in bed
"Hey, Oliver! Why weren't you at the Corp? You know you made me worry, thought you just up and died after just a day or two" I said. Oliver turned around with a surprised expression
"Oh Leo...I'm sorry I di-"He stopped as I turned the corner to see an IV in his arm. He looked at me a bit more and finished his sentence "I never told you did I...About my condition"
"The hell is this? You were fine just yesterday, so why are you like this now?" I was confused did I miss something
"It comes and goes, sometimes it stays for days, sometimes it only lasts a few seconds, no one really knows what is wrong with me, I'll be fine though, you don't have to worry about me so much"He looked at me with a doting expression "How about we go somewhere since you're so worked up about someone you just met, okay?" I nodded "Alright" He sat up from his bed, he looked tired
"Do you have a wheelchair or something?"I asked. He pointed towards his closet, I went into it and found a bunch of things, different uniforms for LC, his wheelchair, and some sort of dairy. I grabbed the wheelchair and went over to him "Do you need help?" He shook his head
"Don't worry, I'm used to this" No matter how much I told myself he'd be okay, his voice sounded dead, a polar opposite of his normal cheery voice "I'm surprised, we only just met and you're caring so much for me, why's that?" He looked up at me from his wheelchair
"It's just a habit I tend to have, I guess I'm just sentimental"I answered. I wheeled him out the door, the IV, being attached to the side of it and extra bags of his medicine in the back pouch of the chair "Where'd you wanna go?" I closed the door to his room while he handed me something "What's this?"
"I marked on the map where I wanna go, It's better as a surprise"He smiled softly as we went down the elevator to the first floor 'Damn wish I knew about this before I went up the stairs'
We were close to the location when I started to get this nostalgic feeling.
"Just up the hill and we'll be at an amazing view" He sounded happy from what I could tell. We finished the climb and I was greeted by not only an amazing view, but a familiar one "Even though I didn't work here, looking at the old Lobotomy Corporation makes me wonder many things" His voice got more tired than happy
"What type of questions?" I looked down at him, although he kept looking ahead
"What type of company they were, were they like us and cared for some employees? how did they fail? What type of people were there......and how long we can keep going like this...how long you can go like this"I took a step back confused
"Wh..What do you mean by that?"
"Leo...You're too sympathetic and you're working at a company where everyone has a death flag..I know I was the one who told you to stick with the others till they open up but...If you keep getting close to people in that company, you're asking to become depressed.. I guess what I'm saying is...If I'm ever in danger..If my illness affects me while I'm working"He looked up at me, no longer with a tired or doting expression but one that was serious, one that wanted me to agree to whatever he has to say "You leave me to die"
