"Daddy, is that really you?"
"Yes it is" Chase said
"GET OFF ME!!" Eliyetta Yelled pushing him away
"wha? Eliyetta?" Chase let go a bit stunned.
"YOUR A TRAITOR!!" Eliyetta yelled
Chase gave a defeated smile, "yes, by law I am. But I'm also your father"
Eliyetta gave her father a venomous look, "You need to leave. "
"you need not worry about that." Chase said looking down at his watch, " I only have a few minutes left anyway."
"what do you mean you only have a few minutes left" Eliyetta said eyes narrowing.
"Happy Birthday Eliyetta, it took me & years to see you. I pray the next time will be sooner but I know the weight of the responsibilities on your shoulders. especially after my disgrace. So I need you to choose your birthday gift little one"
" I don't need the gifts of a traitor" Eliyetta said however her voice was not nearly as venomous as before instead a glint of curiosity had taken hold in her gaze.
Ignoring his daughter Chase grabbed his Amulet " In this Storage Amulet there is enough funds to support your territory as a noble for 10 years. It also allows me the capital to visit you once a year maybe more later on. if you choose to take the Amulet you will not see me again until your 18 Eliyetta. What do you want Eliyetta"

Eliyetta looked at the Amulet and then at her father " There was never a choice...we are about to go bankrupt..." Eliyetta looked at the ground.
" I see" was all chase could find to say.
Chase placed the Storage Amulet into Eliyettas Hands. " the future is never certain. but this will certainly help you. Your father loves you Eliyetta." Chase went to give her a hug but before his arms could wrap around her he was surrounded by a brief flash of light and then was gone.
looking to his left and right chase realized he had once again arrived in the hellscape called the low-realm. there were no monsters on the Plateau he found himself on whenever he teleported back. there never was. unlike the rest of the low realm this area was truly dead. while peaceful in some sense it would begin to suck away his energy if he stayed too long.
Not wanting to dwell on the lost hug Chase grabbed a backpack that he had set aside before he left, Chase opened it and began to sort through the rations he left behind. Pausing as he grabbed the book that had gotten him banished. The leafy embroidering on the of the book had disappeared long ago in that flash of light. Pulling up his sleeve he looked at the leafy pattern that was now scarred into his flesh. Next he changed out of his butler uniform into some of the leather padded armor with a chainmail interior. It was better for mobility and quieter. more suitable for what Chase planned to do next.
Chase strapped a rope around a boulder and hammered in some stakes to stabilize the rope so it didn't just slip off over the top. things in the this area of the low real never went as you would expect so extra precautions had become second nature to Chase at this point. then he looked over the Cliff which seemed endless beneath him and began to climb down.
this was the only area of the low realm he had yet to explore. maybe it would be the key to end his curse.
