Good Bye Kakavasha

The screen transitions to a new setting, as if entering Aventurine's memories, or perhaps another illusion appears.

Before our eyes, the sky is overcast with dark clouds, and large raindrops pour down relentlessly. The entire world seems to be shrouded in a misty haze.

Young Aventurine stands in the middle of a wasteland, allowing the merciless rain to beat down on his frail body. His clothes are soaked through, clinging tightly to his skin, sending a chill through him.

In front of him stands a young woman with golden hair cascading down her shoulders. She, too, is drenched, her body covered in dirty mud. Her once-delicate features are now blurred, with only the rainwater constantly washing over her face, occasionally revealing a hint of paleness.

"We have to part ways here, Kakavasha. The Katika people are coming," the young woman says firmly, but her eyes betray endless sorrow and helplessness.

Upon hearing this, Kakavasha's tears immediately burst forth, and he chokes out a question: "Why? The Katika people have already taken all our money and food, and killed mom and dad... What more do they want?"

Faced with Kakavasha's questioning, the young woman bites her lip and resolutely answers, "The Katika people are bloodthirsty, cruel, and insatiable. They want everything, so they end up with nothing."

[Welt: The company created this tragedy... Sigh.]

[March 7th: It's really too tragic.]

[Acheron: Alas... the world never lacks tragedies.]

[Boothill: But some tragedies could have been completely avoided, all because of that damned company!]

"This is a trick, an act of revenge. Remember? Today is the day of 'Kakava', and it's also your birthday."

"They know the Aevigin people will definitely hold a festival on this day. Using this rain as cover, they will come to destroy our caravans and take everything they want."

"But the Katika people don't know that this time we will resist, and the black-clad people from the sky are on our side. The Katika people stand no chance against them and will surely pay for their arrogance."

"If it weren't for this rain, the Katika people wouldn't act, and we wouldn't have a chance to outmaneuver them. This is all a blessing from the Mother Goddess, and you are 'Kakavasha' - your good luck will protect your sister and ensure success."

Kakavasha's lips tremble slightly as he mumbles, "But... but people will die, and you'll be in danger too... How is this good luck? Why do you have to do this..."

[March 7th: But haven't all the Aevigin people except Aventurine already died? Shouldn't the company have protected them?]

[Welt: This is the cruel reality. The company's only goal is profit, and they didn't pay much attention to the Aevigin people. Even Aventurine's survival until now is due to luck. In the face of profit, life often seems insignificant.]

[Bailu: This is so unfair! Those Aevigin people are also lives, they also have the right to be protected!]

The young woman looks at him with determination in her eyes and slowly says, "The Aevigin people always seek revenge. The Mother Goddess is calling me, mom and dad are waiting for me, I must respond. But she has bestowed good fortune upon you, wanting you to live on."

"As long as you're alive, the blood of the Aevigin people will never run dry. So run, Kakavasha, don't be afraid, don't look back. Go to the other side of the mountain. The rain will accompany you, it will protect you."

"And we... we will meet again under the aurora of the next 'Kakava'..."

With these words, the young woman gently reaches out her hand, tightly grasping Kakavasha's small, tender hand, while devoutly praying:

"May the Mother Goddess close your eyes thrice..."

"May your bloodline forever pulse..."

"May your journey always be smooth..."

"May your tricks never be exposed."

"Goodbye, Kakavasha."

The scene fades to black, leaving only the sound of the interstellar broadcast resonating once again from the viewing.

"Interstellar Peace News Flash: A spokesperson for the Company's Market Development Department has confirmed that a small-scale rebellion has erupted in the unclaimed star sector of Tsigania. The situation is now effectively under control—"

"A clan called 'Katika', which has long harbored dissatisfaction with the Company, has severely negatively impacted the work of the Market Development Department in the area—"

"The clan launched a large-scale attack on the 'Aevigin' clan under the Company's protection, resulting in 6,728 deaths, 3,452 missing, and the injured are currently being received by the medical relief organization 'Trauma Frontline'."

[Qingque: Ah... I feel like this news is the biggest blow!]

[Boothill: They let the Katika people massacre the Aevigin people, and then used the excuse of "executing justice" to slaughter the Katika people. Goddamn it! Osvaldo Schneider, you've added another crime to your list. This must have been under your orders. I know you're watching, just wait, sooner or later I'll put a bullet in your fucking head!]

[Bronya: Is this... the Company's way of doing things? Instigating rebellion, leading to the annihilation of a tribe under "protection"... What exactly did you protect?]

(On Jarilo-VI, Bronya, who is exploring the lower levels with Stelle and the others, reveals disappointment and confusion in her eyes. She originally thought that the Company, as an organization that also believes in the Amber Lord, would protect those in need, but now she sees their cruel side. She can't help but start to doubt the meaning and value of the Company's existence.)

"The spokesperson expressed deep condolences for this 'profound humanitarian disaster' and delivered an important speech to all interstellar citizens regarding this matter—"

"Finally, he stated: The hammer of preservation must fall for all life, regardless of life or death, race, or ideology, to defend the fundamental rights we are born with."

The screen lights up again, and Aventurine is waking up from his illusory dream. He looks back blankly, where there should have been someone's figure, but now it's empty. Unconsciously, he softly calls out, "Kakavasha."

All around is silent, with only occasional thunder rumbling in the distance, breaking the deathly stillness. The sound echoes in the air, but never receives any response. Aventurine silently withdraws his gaze, slowly turns around, his eyes fixed on the empty corridor behind him, a smile of relief gradually appearing on his face.

"Goodbye..." he murmurs, as if saying farewell to a person who doesn't exist, or perhaps bidding farewell to his past self.

Then, he takes a deep breath, straightens his posture, and walks with determined steps towards the curtain in front.

After coming to a stop, Aventurine takes another deep breath and says loudly, "Alright — the actor is in place, it's time for the show to begin."

He then pauses briefly, his tone becoming increasingly gentle: "This performance is dedicated to you, hoping it will leave you with unforgettable memories..."

"Kakavasha."
