Charlie kept a close eye on Kyle over the following week. She started to notice the pattern, a doll with dark brown curly hair and a wide smile on its face, wearing a grey hoodie with grey sweatpants with black stubs as shoes. She was almost disturbed by how vibrant the blue buttons that were placed as eyes are. The doll looked so much like the boy she’d grown up with, looked so much like the boy who was completely in love with her brother Carlos.
Charlie got torn away from her thoughts as she heard a familiar ringtone in the same classroom where Sam had previously been bitten. Kyle sat on the windowsill, looking out the window as he answered the call without checking whose number it was. “Hello” Kyle’s voice rang with a questioning tone throughout the empty classroom, not being aware of Charlie watching. After a few seconds Kyle said ‘hello’ again, waiting for a reply from the mysterious person.
“I swear to fucking god, whoever this is this isn’t funny” his tone was as angry as he could get but soon after his face dropped, his skin growing pale. “No, you’re lying, I can’t be calling myself” Charlie was confused until her eyes caught the doll sitting on the other windowsill, looking directly at her. She felt shivers running down her spine. “You’re really everywhere he goes” she mutters under her breath so Kyle wouldn’t know she was there. She could’ve sworn she saw the doll start to move but she couldn’t think of it anymore because Kyle started moving so she walked away.

Kyle sighed as he finally looked at the caller ID of the person who called him. The screen read ‘You’ displaying his number under the word. “That just can’t be possible, somebody must be playing a sick prank” he let a sigh slip past his lips and walked out of the empty classroom, just missing the sight of the doll that was now stood leaning against the window frame.
Kyle walked past Charlie on the way, her giving him a look of concern but he didn’t notice, he was too occupied with his thoughts as he had his head down and his brows furrowed. Even Charlie looked back. She wanted to comment on what had happened, but she knew that it was too bizarre to talk about. She couldn’t bring it up to anyone else either, nobody would believe her, nobody would even investigate it, and nobody noticed the disappearance of Johnny and Sam.
