The last words she heard from Johnny was “I’m sorry” before she opened her eyes and he jumped from the window. She wanted to scream, she wanted to run but her body couldn’t take it, she couldn’t hold on and she lost all her senses.
She woke up what must’ve been an hour or so later, she could hear the bell ringing in the background, bringing her back to her senses. She was confused, hand automatically making its way to her shoulder that had previously been bitten by her friend. She could still smell the blood that was drawn, the scent was almost rotting and had her scrunch her nose in disgust. Her hand ran over the spot that was still filled with pain but hadn’t been missing any flesh.
Any sign of the wound that was there before had disappeared, only a hole in the blouse and the red tint of blood was visible. Her body started shaking in fear as she took a deep breath of the chilly air that entered the room. She knew she had to get out of there as fast as she could, she couldn’t look out that window and search for Johnny’s body.
She attempted to get up, but her body dropped to the floor again, consciousness drifting away from her once more. Her nose picked up the scent of pumpkin and wet leaves, her eyes slowly opening to see the old woman in the black cloak standing before her. The woman bent down so she was facing Sam properly, her hand finding its way into the woven basket. “Take it my child” her voice was hoarse and laced with an evil that Sam couldn’t pinpoint. She couldn’t do anything but reach out her hand to the old woman, grasping the doll tightly. “Help me” she whispered before she lost consciousness again, the rest of her body landing on the ground with a thud.

She woke up hours later, lying on the couch in her living room. Her eyes wandered to the white fireplace with a large TV mounted on the wall above it. She sighed, looking at the pictures of her and her family on the wall. Her parents left a few months ago to go on a cruise, only for her to find out they started a new life. Now it was just her and her brother, they shared the responsibility of the rent, her working a part-time job and him working a full-time job. Her brother was rarely at home because he was so busy at work, so she felt lonely quite often.
Everything that had happened previously was forgotten, including the situation with Johnny and the creepy old woman handing her the doll she made. Her eyes wandered to the handmade doll that was left sitting on one of the black leather chairs beside the couch. She slowly got up, going to grab the doll that looked like her. She lets a giggle escape her lips as she held it close. “Cute little thing, it looks like me” she held it close to her chest thoughtfully. “Maybe Spencer seen it somewhere and got it for me”
