If you've ever laid eyes on an emerald green pasture with an electric blue sky backdrop, filled with marshmallow clouds, you've probably considered that quite beautiful. You may have seen something you consider infinitely more beautiful than that at some point in your life as well. While that's good and all, you've never seen anything like Xiao-Long.
Deep in the heart of China, protected by towering slate gray mountains that are topped with vanilla-white snowbanks, is a quaint, mystical town known as Xiao-Long. Outsiders have never interrupted their peaceful inner workings due to a protective magical barrier that glows with golden light and hums with the faint sound of a household heater. The temperature is always absolutely perfect, seventy-four degress fahrenheit and not a pinch more or less. It rains on occasion, but the rain is both welcome and glorious, cascading downward from the heavens above with the scent of lemon sweet tea. The rain is full of body and warmth, the residents play in it like children and smile with glee. The rain is welcome because it feeds the beautiful plantations of Xiao-Long, the marvelous Baosong flowers that seem commenplace to residents, but mystical to the outside eye. Baosong flowers are soft and bright purple, towering tall, giving children the option to use them as a safe-haven during a game of hide and seek. Bonsai trees sit atop verdant jade-colored hills. Sky blue wisps of magical energy float slowly and effortlessly around the quaint village, like sleepy puppies waddling around slowly and aimlessly. The village is tranquil and protected, the residents live in peace and harmony and spend their days enjoying the glory of their slice of heaven. Children play on the cobbled stone paths, running free as a flock of birds while gardeners smile and wave at them from among the Baosongs. An overwhelming feeling of peace flows throughout the village like a leyline. Xiao-Long is true zen.

Authors Note:
Thanks for reading my first LitSense chapter! It is a lot of fun to make up fantasy worlds and to write with a lot of imagery. Each chapter will be set in a different place, either real or fake. For example, I'm planning to do a chapter on Provence, France, and also a chapter on Mok'Tilarr, which is a fantasy world I created for my novel Brightshine that I stopped working on. Anyway, hopefully you enjoyed and let me know what you think!
