Haven

"Izu, alone again are you?" said the old man to the lone child sitting on the railroad tracks of an abandoned train.

"Smoking again are you, old man?" retorted the child running towards the bench where the man sat.

The man laughed towards the child.

"I see you've become wise. Hmm, but what brought you here? Still no friends?" asked the man while watching the child imitate him smoking using a lollipop.

"Shut up, aren't we the same? Wise people don't make friends with the fools. And the kids today.......Aaahh kid's today right?" mumbled the child as tears began to form in her eyes.

"Man it's so windy today.Be careful Izu, you might get dust in your eyes" the man said while patting the head of the child who's trying to hold her tears.

The lonely old man and the misunderstood child sat in silence, enjoying the greens dancing with the wind,

the sound of the cans and dried leaves rolling on the ground

the nostalgia brought upon by the fallen train and its tracks.

Their daily exchanges served as their only haven.
