The girl ran and ran, through the trees and ducking under branches which seem to cut her like she enraged mother nature herself. Everything is gone, her home and her family destroyed, a group was chasing after her, various shouts of "Don't let her escape!" mixed with the ever pleasant "You going to fetch a nice price!". A group of slavers was chasing her, they were notorious for capturing people and selling them to some warlord or dictator who need maids or concubines for a very good price. The little girl couldn't tell how many there was. Ten? Twenty? A hundred? She started to see less of the trees and through the distance she saw a waterfall, if she could just make it there. An arrow hit her in the shoulder just as she thought she was about to make it. She slammed into the ground. She let out a loud, heart-wrenching scream as the slavers descended upon her. She could barely see through the tears, she saw dark clouds in the sky, the entirety of the sky above her a darkish gray.
"Well done Arroz!" The leader said as he got off his horse and pulled out some ropes.
"She a screamer, there some nobles in Nevaris that pay good coin for people like her." Arroz stated as he walked over to the girl and pinned her down.
fear shot through her heart, She started to pray, to any gods that was in hearing distance.
"Please...help....me."
A blindfold was tied to her, the ropes was bound to her like a snake coiling around it's prey.
There was no hope.
In the skies, a lone man walks along the clouds. Simply lost in his own thoughts, His short and spiky hair was pitch black with his bangs being a bright white. A white Ki adorned his body with a tattered black cape that faded into a brighter white at the bottom , Black pants, with white reinforced boots, a present from his sister, Amalech. He was the God of Lighting. Whenever you will see dark clouds and rain beat upon the earth, replenishing it crops. Mortals know that he is not far behind. Very few know him by his name Kai, mostly everyone on this green earth refer to him as Amalech's less popular, less social, less good-looking, moody, lame brother. And they didn't have to say these things, Even his fellow gods didn't think much of him. Whenever the meetings happen, nobody asked for his opinion, just his sister's. And why would they? She was everything a god should be. Brilliant, Social, Kind, Compassinate, Humble, and other general good traits you expect humans to have. All the gods have followers and worshippers, His sister is getting a temple built in her honor " Even though she insisted they didn't have to."
The only worshippers he had were mortals who already worshipped Amalech and Worship her brother out of obligation. Like the bastard son of a king that you had to pay attention to.
"It not so bad, I suppose..." Kai thought as he look at the mass of soft area around him. Being ignored means having no expectations expected of him, so he could just be up here with his thoughts. He closed his eyes, the sounds of rumbling clouds bringing him peace.
"Please...help....me."
Kai's eyes open. Somebody called out to him, no not just him. Any gods in the distance, It sounds like a little child. Kai rushed over to the area closet to where the prayer comes from. He saw a group of slavers. They were taking a young girl? He instantly teleported to the ground in a bright flash, startling the other bandits as the sound of a lighting strike fill their ears. There was eight of them in total. The girl was shaken, it sounded like lighting, she felt the cart shake violently for a split second. Maybe her prayers have been answered. She started to squirm around, trying to break free of the ropes.
"Hello, may I ask what in the seven hells is going on here?!" The god of lighting demanded as he stared down the group. Two of the bandits ran the fuck off, not wanting to deal with fighting an actual god. The leader look at this man, he gotta be a mage, right? He can't imagine a god actually being selfless for once and doing something out of the kindness of their hearts. Well except for that Sun Goddess, but she was an odd case.
"Ok, nice magic you got there, you see, we're taking product to Nevaris to be sold for a very reasonable price." The leader explained . The leader did a little hand gesture, gesturing to the female mage behind him what to do.
"Ok, well that explains the little girl that you have tied up in that cart." Kai said, his calm but booming voice causing the slavers to step back a little. The God was looking about ready to commit manslaughter. A giant fireball hit the god and engulfed him in flames, thus lighting the whole sky, the heat was intense as the leader took a couple of steps back. The female mage took a moment to appreaciate her handiwork.
"Fucking Foppet, if he a god, then that must make me a Titan!" The female mage boast as the rest of crew laughed. She notcied the little girl who made her way out of the cart, she staggered about before tripping over her own feet. The crew noticed this, The leader went over to teach the girl a lesson.
"Hey there, little missy, don't want you getting all bruised up before meeting your future husband or wife or whatever the hell else." He said as he raised his leg up to kick her in the stomach. The girl knew something was coming, she knew it was going to hurt very bad. So she braced herself for the kick that never came. The leader was quite confused as well, when in a blinding flash his leg went flying off into a tree, a bloody stump of meat where his leg used to be connected remained. The female mage stared in shock as the rest of the crew sans Arroz scattered to the wind. "Monop? you alright?" The female mage said to the leader. It took five seconds for Monop's brains to recongize that his leg was cut off. But when he went to scream, he was electrocuted by another lighting bolt sending into the same tree where his left leg hit, a sickeing crack was heard as he fell to the ground with a thud. He wasn't dead but he wish he was.
The mage turn around just in time to see a bolt of lighting hit her and send her flying into the air. The pain was blinding, She screamed bloody murder before another lighting strike hit her and threw her right back to earth, she landed on the ground. Completely knocked out. Arroz, now on the verge on shitting his pants, draws his bow and turned all around.

" He just a really good mage" Arroz said to himself repeatedly, trying to calm his ragged nerves.
"No, it just that you're monsters getting what they deserved." Kai said darkly as he punched a hole through Arroz's chest. His hand surging with electricty. Arroz fell to the ground in a heap. Kai sighed, he took some pleasure in that, he admits. He look over to see the girl that call out to him and the Gods, wide-eyed , shaking, and looking straight at him. He felt ashamed, no child should have to witness that. he walked slowly and carefully over to her. She had long brown hair and she was wearing a turqouise blouse, she didn't have on any shoes, she most likely lost them while on the run from these monsters. She had Green eyes that remind him of emeralds, and a round face. Her shoulder was bleeding bad from where the arrow hit.
"Are you o-" The girl cut off his question by hugging him tightly.
"Thank you , thank you , thank you , thank you." She kept repeating into his chest. Kai felt his heart jumped in his chest. It made him uncomfertable.
"You're welcome." He replied as he rubbed her head, he wasn't really sure how to deal with children but he saw his sister Amalech do this to kids sometimes.
"What is your name?" Kai asked the girl. She broke out of the hug and look up at him.
" ...Raidala Vecsin" She said happily, ingoring the pain she felt, she was juist glad to be free.
"That a beautiful name, how about we get you patched up?" Kai said putting his hands on her wounded shoulder. Raidala was confused, Kai noticied this and explained what he was about to do.
"I'm going to heal your shoulder using my electrity." Kai explanied as he charged up his hands, Raidala look at them in amazement. His hands was glowing, lighting was dancing around his fingers like royals in a fancy ball.
"Now this may hurt..." Kai said closing his hands on her wound.
Raidala yelped as she felt a small shock through her shoulder. The pain was still there but numb.
"You're the best god ever." Raidala said, tearing up. She hugged him again.
Kai felt an unexpected warmness in his chest, he smiled softly.
"I'm not the best god, that title goes to my sister." He admitted to her.
Raidala shook her head.
"She not here, none of the gods came to save me, but you did." Raidala said to him, hugging him tightly as she felt incredibly tired. Kai smiled and scooped her up in his arms and began his ascent into the clouds above.
Raidala felled into a peaceful slumber, no doubt exhausted after everything she went through. Kai had her in his arms as he flew across the clouds. He looked down at her peaceful face ever so often and smiled. The sun was shining brighter than usual, which for Kai can mean only one thing. He stopped in the air, he felt her presence from behind. He sighed .
"Hello sister." Kai greeted as he slowly turned around to see her smiling face. Now Amalech dressed more casually than the rest of their fellow gods, but there was no mistake that she was one. Her bright orange eyes with yellow pupils that stared into the deepest pit of your soul. In a caring way, of course. Her long blinding white hair flew freely in the wind. Her red robe wasn't tied showing off the fact she wore a white blouse along with a skirt that matched the color of the coat.
"Hello Kai, God of the skies!" Amalech greeted, stifling a laugh. Kai cringed, a long time ago when they were young, Kai with inferiority complex in full drive, decided to rebrand himself to the masses. After everybody pointed out that he can't even cast thunder bolts or control wind, He was promptly too embarrassed to continued the charade. Amalech still hold it over him like any good sibling.
"It seems you once again proven to yourself that you are better than you think you are." Amalech teased as she got closer, Kai sighed inwardly. She always does this, trying to help him realize that he is worthy to be a god and he should stop comparing himself to her. But all he did was save one child, whose family had already been killed from what he could gather. So he utterly failed in that regard. Now she will have to grow up without her family, and no child should go through something so horrific.
Amalech hugged him, being careful not to squish the child who had just woken up and is now in-between a hard place and two soft ones.
"I know when you putting yourself down , silly. You did the best you could." Amalech said warmly, ruffling his hair .
Kai nodded, He felt the girl roused from her sleep. She looked up to see Amalech smiling down at her warmly.
"Are you Kai's sister?" Raidala asked tiredly. Kai was stunned, usually he was used to being called Amalech's brother. But to hear Amalech, perhaps the best god of them all " Considering all the damage and pain the rest caused to the general population." being called Kai's sister. He felt a happiness that he shouldn't be feeling.
Amalech smiled down at the little girl.
"Indeed I am, i see my brother had save you from some awful people." Amalech said proudly.
"He the best god ever , i want to pray to him every night." Raidala said sleepily. Amalech just smiled at Kai's flustered face.
"Look who got a follower. Look who got a follower." Amalech said in a sing song tone, doing a little dance much to Kai's annoyance but he couldn't help but feel special.
Raidala was in the hazy area between awake and asleep, so the realization of what happen to her parents hasn't hit in the face like a mace just yet. Maybe she did realize it and was just burying the grief so she can process her sadness and pain in peace.
"So Amalech how you doing?" Kai asked as he adjusted Raidala.
"Well, I'm on my way to the Laphos kingdom, apparently the lord there want to discuss something with me in person." Amalech explained, She was quite frankly anxious. She had heard rumors about this lord, none of them good. She will accept his offer to see him and discuss whatever it is he had planned. But if he ask something of her that will hurt innocent people, she will refuse of course. She doesn't think it be the right action to kill the lord, without finding a suitable replacement. But she was getting ahead of herself.
Kai kissed her on the forehead.
"Just like you know when i'm putting myself down, i know when you're stressed, sunbeam." Kai said, smiling.
Amalech smiled at her brother. He was growing up before her very eyes.
"It was written on my face wasn't it?" Amalech asked of Kai who just smirked.
"You never been subtle when it came to your feelings, dear sister." Kai commented.
Amalech blushed at this and pouted much to the amusement of her brother.
"Well I must be off, see you later Kai!" She said, smiling before turning around and flying off.
Kai turn around and continued on his journey, with Raidala snuggled in his arms
