CH 35 : CONSPIRACY

When she noticed that Feng Luotian’s pause was a little strange, Tu Lingxi asked: “What’s wrong?”

Feng Luotian’s face quickly turned to a relaxed one and answered: “Nothing. It’s just that there’s no important document here either. So, the things Jiu Hao’s worried about when you raided them are probably these treasures.”

Tu Lingxi: “Yeah, I guess.”

Feng Luotian walked towards the pile of monster cores and pills: “As per our bet earlier, you can pick whatever you want first.”

Tu Lingxi nodded with a smile: “I’ll pick this pair of tonfa, then.”

Feng Luotian approved: “Good choice!! Light and agile, matching to your battle style.”

Tu Lingxi proposed: “Since I got my winning stake, then we will split the rest 50-50. What do you think?”

Feng Luotian reprimanded: “How childish, Sister Tu. We should return what the village shouldn’t have lost to these bandits and provide what they need to let them recover to their former strength, or even better let them stronger than before, so they can protect themselves in the future. After that, if there’s still any left, we can split 50-50 then.”

“!!” Tu Lingxi was stunned and immediately turned red in embarrassment, feeling guilty of forgetting the village just like that.

Feng Luotian teasingly smiled at Tu Lingxi: “Sister Tu, you don’t need to concern yourself with what I said too much. You’re still a kid after all.”

Being called a ‘kid’ twice in the same day, Tu Lingxi forgot about the prior guilt and became angered at Feng Luotian instead as she stormed out of the room.

Feng Luotian could only let out a dry chuckle to that. He retrieved all of the valuable items in the room and put them into his spatial ring as he planned to give them to the village afterward.

Alone within the room, Feng Luotian touched his ring to summon a document out of it. This document was the one he hid from Tu Lingxi earlier. It said:

To Vulture Bandit Troupe’s Leader, Jiu Hao

Use these monster cores, pills, and weapons as you see fit.

Retrieve the protective treasure that protected the Raven Village from One Talon Diamond-Fang Rock Panther two days ago within two months.

Upon completing your mission, send someone to deliver the treasure to us. Then, we will pay you five times the amount you got this time.

Alchemy Center – Peacock School

And at the end of the document, there was a sigil stamp unique to those used only in the Peacock School

Feng Luotian said with a solemn voice: “I can’t believe it’s our school that caused this whole thing!! And more than that, I can’t believe it’s the Mei Clan who planned an assassination on Yue’er!! Once I got to the bottom of this, whoever involved must die!!”

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

A tremendous amount of murderous intent could be seen in his eyes. Any normal person who met with such a gaze could lose their mind and become unconscious instantly. After a few breaths to calm himself down, Feng Luotian put away the document because it could be proof later, although there was no name on it.

At this moment, Tu Lingxi returned to the room with a serious face: “What happened? I swear I sensed a killing intent just now.” If she sensed a killing intent, then there must still be an enemy left. Even though she was angry with Feng Luotian, this and that were separated matters.

Feng Luotian indifferently said: “It’s fine now, Sister Tu. Thank you.”

Both of them returned to the village to give the spoils of war they collected. However, Wu Neng only took what they invested in their previous battle and a couple of healing pills to treat the injured.

As for the rest of the treasures, Wu Neng and all other villagers were hellbent on not receiving them. They wanted to give the treasures to Feng Luotian and Tu Lingxi. Facing the villager’s stubbornness, both of them could only accept the rest of the treasures and split them 50-50 as they agreed.

Once they both left the village, Tu Lingxi bid Feng Luotian goodbye. However, before they parted Feng Luotian asked: “May I know what are you going to do next?”

It was funny though because it was the same question Tu Lingxi asked him when he was about to leave the village the first time.

Tu Lingxi shook her head: “I don’t know. Maybe seeing the world for a little more and returned home.” When she mentioned the word ‘home’, there was a slight sadness within her eyes.

Feng Luotian said and handed out an application form to Tu Lingxi: “If that’s the case, then you can apply to this if interested.”

Tu Lingxi received the form and asked: “What’s this for?”

Feng Luotian replied: “It’s an application form to take an entrance exam into our schools that will happen in 7 days. You can fill in your information and submit the form at the Divine Bird City’s City Hall to take the test. If you passed, you’ll become the school’s disciple. You can also use this application form to enter Divine Bird City without a hitch.”

Actually, the application form here was his own, but Feng Luotian could certainly get one more after meeting with Mei Yue’er, so he did not mind giving his to Tu Lingxi.

Tu Lingxi: “Will you be participating in this entrance exam as well?”

Feng Luotian: “Of course!!”

Tu Lingxi considered it for a bit and nodded: “Okay. I’ll be there 7 days later.”

Feng Luotian: “Great!! With your talent, it would be just a breeze to pass the entrance exam of our greatest school.”

Once the conversation was over, they parted to do their own things.

----------------------------------------

Feng Luotian returned to the same training camp as before and met with a horde of Blade Tail Lions while he was up high on the same branch as before.

Even though the number of monsters had been multiplied by a lot and they were all colorful by the mixture of elements on their tail, they were still all just Six Fangs.

At Feng Luotian’s current cultivation level, they could not be his training partners any longer. However, he came to say his ‘goodbye’ as he casually announced: “I have had a good time with you all, especially you, Little Silver. But I’m Six Fangs now, so you can’t be my opponent anymore. Nevertheless, I have one final business with you guys. I am in need of monster cores right now and I am quite interested in all of your tails. So, please be still for a couple of minutes, okay?”

Feng Luotian asked, smiling at the monsters. There was only indifference in Feng Luotian’s tone but the monsters’ instincts could somehow tell them to run right now. The area trembled upon the stampede of Blade Tail Lions as they were all running away with their lives on the line.

Feng Luotian could only sigh and shake his head: “Why do you all have to make it more troublesome. Anyway, let’s train a new skill together with the old one while collecting items from them.”

Feng Luotian jumped down from his usual branch, activating both [Pinnacle Flash Lightning] and [Underworld Physique]. The ground shattered upon Feng Luotian’s landing as his weight was ten times heavier.

Feng Luotian smiled: “Another week to go. I wonder how strong you have become after this one month, Yue’er, Brother Sun and also …” He stomped his foot to launch himself towards one of the Lions and disappeared. One Lion after another fell as a flash of lightning passed through them.
