As I walked through the door I frowned lightly, as there was only an endless darkness. I waited for a few moments, unsure of what exactly I was supposed to do in here, before being surprised by the sudden slamming of the door behind me.
I turned around towards the door only to find it replaced with more darkness. Before hearing a voice from behind, "Hello." The voice was monotone and lifeless, yet smooth, it was odd in its own way unlike the odd bipolar idiotic god from before.
Turning back around I found a white orb, which seemed to flow like water, multiple stars of every color swirled around inside of it. The voice spoke up once more. "Hello Jack, I am here to assist you in remaking yourself, though first let us have a look at your status." It spoke as a large blue screen appeared besides it, showing my stats, skills, and titles.

Immediately I noticed something that was seemed extremely wrong "Uhmm, where is my health?" I asked, to which the orb responded "Ah, we cant really measure that sort of thing, since a bullet to the head is a bullet to the head y'know? Damage is based off of your resistance mainly.
I nod in understanding before I continue reading, once more I stare confusedly at the screen, not really sure if the stats are good or bad, so I decide to ask the... err.. Floating orb thing, Ah, Ill just call it helper thing! Fufufu, My naming sense is genius. "Erm, Helper thing, is that good or bad?" I ask, pointing towards the screen.
The orb speaks in its monotone voice "Hmmm, the basic average for humans is 100. Your strength, agility, and endurance are below average, but at least its not as bad as some. Erm.. But what the actual hell is up with your other three stats? 486 Intelligence?! 322 wisdom?? Arnt you a little young to be a rocket scientist kid??!"
I interrupted the orb as it spoke "I am NOT a kid, I just look like one." I spoke with resignation in my tone" And hey, yknow it's not really MY fault that everyone else is extremely stupid."
"R-right... And the luck is really over the top as well, usually the people who have around 200 are the kinds who have won the lottery. Twice. In one month."
"Ahh, That might be from all the experiments, yknow the documents I read said that the project originally started with 10,000 babies, now there's like 15, and they’ve all gone insane and deformed. In fact I remember this one guy, after they put a machine in his brain he started talking in 1's and 0's, Was actually kinda funny... But back on topic what exactly are we doing in here?"
"Oh, right, not going to say anything about that, onto the next part... Recreation! You get to change yourself to a different race, such as the elves, dwarves, beastmen, draconians, elementals, tons of different races! We at the center of the universe believe in racial diversity ya know! Feel free to look over the choices and take your time, and let me know when you have decided."
Yet another screen appeared in front of me, allowing me to browse through the options, The humans were the 'I'm not bad but I'm not good at things either' group. Now since I had already been offered the race I was definitely going to snatch for myself, I figured it would be best for me to look through the list, and copy the information down into a file in my mental computer.
It was as someone would suspect, the elves were magical hippies, the dwarves drunken craftsmen, the humans, The race I obviously currently am and I didn’t really care about staying human. Continuing my way down the list past the elementals, I made my through a surprisingly wide variety, what kind of psycho wants to be a imp? Or a goblin? Finally I reached the unique area, to find the race I had been looking forward to. A god, a minor one it may be.

Minor GodThis race is usually only available after a person has reached an amazing height of physical or magical prowess and kill another god to take their place., though through special conditions you have managed to unlock this race extremely prematurely, honestly the universe is unsure about giving you such a boon, but the universe thinks you will be fun to watch, so don't be too boring please jack.Basic Minor Gods have a 25% increase to all stat increase and skill experience gain, have the inability to truly die, more skills and abilities currently locked until more experience is gained and what you govern over is chosen.
With a joyful grin I quickly selected that as my race, almost immediately after I did the orb yelled out in surprise "W-w-w-w-why is that there!? Oy kid! How did that get there!?"
I clenched my fist as the stupid Helper thing called me a kid yet again. Unclenching my hand I lifted it to my face, balling it into a fist and holding a finger over my lip, innocently tilting my head to the right slightly. "Secret~?"
The orb stared at me, seemingly dumbfounded though it's rather hard to tell when it doesn’t have a face. " That’s... I mean.... Gaahh whatever! I don’t care! Lets just get through the rest of this kid!"
I couldn’t agree more, as I was seriously starting to ask myself if punching that stupid thing would let me do any damage or not, though I obviously wouldn’t let such thoughts out.
"Haahhh... Well there isnt really anything to change for a 'minor god' racial changes as its usually a race gained after already having an original race... Errmmm.... I guess you can change your hair and eyes...?" The helper thing offered, unsure of what exactly it was supposed to do in this situation.
"Cheh, that will do I guess." I grumble at the fact that it wouldn’t let me make myself taller, though I guess I can have a bit of fun messing with my hair and eyes.. I consider what might look interesting before I am struck with an idea. "Hey mr helper thing, since I don’t get to change my appearance too much unlike every one else can I have the option to alter my hair and eye color at will whenever?" I ask with my best puppy dog eyes "I really wanted to be taller y'know..."
"Geh... Well.. I mean your already a god so it might be..." I force myself to grow teary eyed "N-now wait! Wait! Don’t do that! Okay okay! Fine you can do that okay!? Just don’t cry!" I immediately wipe the tears from my eyes and look at the orb with a grin. "Thank yoouu~" I speak as a message box appears before my eyes.

I cant help but almost drool at the possibilities, ideas buzz through my head for what I can do, but first I really must ask. "What are God Points?"
"Oh that’s simple, its just the what you gain when people pray to you or you answer their prayers. Simple enough right?"
I can feel the premonition of a possible cult in my future, which I honestly am not 100% against. Maybe I can have beautiful people feed me fruit as I sit on some sorta.. Comfy throne/couch... Damn that sounds great. I slap myself out of the dazz as I find myself often doing and look back towards the orb, now wondering why it didn’t flip out over my skills. "You're not going to... panic or anything?" I ask.
The orb laughs sheepishly. "Oh no no, I'm panicking, I'm definitely panicking, just internally, Ahhhh Is this a mental breakdown? Maybe something like that~ Mmmm, I better go take a nap..." The orb begins to giggle rather creepily and I can't help but wonder if it's broken.
"So... Uhm.. before your nap can you tell me what to do now..?" I ask, eager to hopefully get away from this orb before it mentally snaps... Can orbs even snap? If so I really don’t want to be around to find out.
"Oh right, right. Our job is pretty much done, Ill leave you alone and go ahead and allow you to spend a week practicing, learn magic, train your already existent skills or maybe just laze around. I don’t really care, do whatever the hell you want. I gotta go." The orb spoke before popping out of existence.
I stand slightly dumbfounded at the fact that the orb had simply left me in this black expanse of space, with absolutely nothing around. As I was about to scream out in protest I noticed the ground below me had taken the shape of a brown tile, , several more manifesting around me to form a wide room, several straw dummies lined the wall as well as a rack with weapons on it, something I decided I should just ignore. As being some idiotic melee fighters in a world of guns and nuclear warfare sounded the same as being a suicidal person.
Though something that concerned me was where the lighting in the room was coming from, there was no lights or torches or really anything, the light seemed to be efficiently spread out through the entire room.

Finding this room to be rather useless to me at this time I glanced towards a door, which seemed promising so I went ahead and walked over, entering the room to find a rather large book, sitting on a pedestal in the middle of the room, with nothing else in here.
Curiosity took over as I walked over to the book, its cover was a pale brown and I doubted I had the muscle strength to actually pick up the massive book. So I grasped the cover and pulled it open with both hands, and examined the first page covered in writing.
-Greetings reader, This is the book of knowledge! A godly artifact with all the magic knowledge you could possibly desire! That is, as long as you meet the pre-requisites, otherwise you won't be able to actually read the pages. First things first, Let us check your elemental affinities!-
When I reached there I had to pause, as I understood nothing afterwards, but as soon as I read that line the book emitted a pale blue light which swirled its way up my arm, and onto my chest, glowing for mere moments before it faded away. When I look back towards the book it seems I am able to understand the next words while before I was unable to.
-Congratulations! You appear to have a natural talent for Divine, Light, Dark, and Wind magic! But before we actually get to learning that we must first learn how to actually 'sense' and 'utilize' mana, for that simply flip to the next page-
Turning the page I found a section which seemed to blur from gibberish to english. From there I continued reading through the entire chapter on the subject before the book demanded that I meditate and attempt to sense the mana in the air around me.
So I went ahead and sat down a few feet away from the book and closed my eyes, crossing my legs and sitting while trying to focus onto my surroundings. Sitting in silence for only a few moments I felt something like a mental light flicker past me, believing that the light would most likely be mana in the air, I focused onto it as slowly but surely I began to sense more and more of the 'light' in my surroundings.
Deciding I can probably continue to the next step without actually reading from the book I attempt to mentally pull the mana towards me, It felt somewhat similar to what happened when I moved my mind into a machine, but rather an odd sort of completing the process in reverse.
As the light flowed into my body I felt rather invigorated, as if I had just now woken up from a nap and was ready to get up and do whatever I damn well please.

Once more I am reminded of the wonderful benefits I gain from being a god, I consider with a grin befor standing back up to my feet, walking back over to the book to skip through to the info I need now and to continue my path to greatness....
-ONE WEEK TIME SKIP- (Really I felt like it might get boring if I wrote a weeks worth of training so Ill just post the results, if anyone reallyyy wants to see the training Ill think about writing a 3.5 chapter or something.)
I walk out of the room, once more into the wide lobby I had seen on the first day, glancing at the other people as they exited their own rooms, Some appearing more confident than when they had first arrived, while others seemed to have wasted almost all of their time.
A noticeable fact was the wide variety of races they had changed themselves into, Elves, dwarves, and beastmen number only a few. I continue glancing among the others, wondering what the girl I had met a week ago is up to, when I spot the clown and can't help but stop dead in my tracks... The... the clown is an imp... Why would.. No I mean... Oh dear, just ignore it. Ignore it and focus on the god from a week ago floating in the center of the plaza. Yeah, that’s DEFINITELY something more interesting to focus on.
Soon enough everyone had filed out of their rooms, and I still do not see the girl from earlier anywhere. I consider looking for her but God suddenly speaks up in their two toned voice. "Hello~ I hope you all took full advantage of your week here! Soon I will send you back to the same place from where you had came, although a few hours have likely passed there."
Many were surprised at such a length of time but I made sure to remain calm, myself knowing the absurdity and diversity of godly abilities something involving time distortion is hardly a surprise.
"Now, at the same time you return there will likely be much chaos as five minutes prior to your return everyone on earth would have went through the 'recreation' process so wether you all decide to be hero's and calm the people, or join in the madness is purely up to you."
Immediately as people began to try to speak over each other the god spoke in a thundering voice "No questions, no complaints, none of that bull, you have all been given enough of an advantage over others as is and you will have to learn more just like everyone else! Though one last things will be 'updates' we were thinking perhaps some monsters and demons and the like... Sounds fun right?" God asked, the smile on their mask widening slightly, not really expecting a response considering they immediately continued talking.
"Since I am a graceful god I shall allow you two minutes to calm yourselves before you will be sent back, be grateful!~" God spoke in a sing-song tone, before fading away and a large timer appearing in their place, ticking away, 2:00 to 1:59 as it slowly makes it way down to zero.
I realize I definitely won't have the time to find her in this massive crowd, and it’s a shame we couldn’t talk some more, though immediately after that thought I remembered one of my latest abilities 'Godly visage'. I close my eyes and focus on what I remember of her, pretty features, kendo equipment, hair let loose to her shoulders, and the damned fact that she was 5 inches taller than me at least.
As I imagined her image fully my vision immediately focused in onto her, reaching my mind out to connect with hers and sending the words I'll come search for you in the real world Onee-chan' I spoke in my best little brother tone of voice before breaking off the connection.
I only had a few moments before I reappeared in the real world, so I quickly looked over my stats one more time before I would be whisked away.

I grin as I examine the results of my week entirely devoted to bettering my abilities, and as the clock begins to near zero, I think over the fact that when I return, there will be lots, and lots of blood. My grin turns vicious as my consciousness fades away to the familiar darkness that had brought me here.
