Somewhere in a wild forest

A man lying on the ground opened his eyes. His eyes reflected an expression of amazement and utter disbelief. He stood up and observed the unfamiliar surrounding . It was a forest, with birds chirping and creating a beautiful orchestra, and some small animals roaming around, but the man had an expression of absolute disbelief because he doesn’t know this place.

How the hell did I got here?, I don't remember coming here....

"waaaaaaait a second.... What's my name? what's my name? What's my name? my name... Why don't I remember my name? What's going on here."

His heartbeat fastened, breath became disorderly. It was a great shock for him to not know who he himself was.4

He clenched his fist to calm him down.

After 10 minutes

As thinking was of no help, he finally decided to look around for a while. He looked around him and found a long tree he decided to climb on it to view the area where he was, it was the longest tree around him with many thick and strong branches. He started climbing, and after he got on the first branch.

Can’t see anything, lets climb higher.

He was not satisfied so he climbed higher on the tree but was still unable to get the clear picture of the forest, so he climbed even more higher, but he was still unsatisfied, so he climbed even more higher than before. He repeated this until he literally climbed on top of the tree. He was satisfied now as he could he see the whole forest from here, but no matter how far he looked, it was still a forest that came into his sight. Heartbroken, he decided to get down, but as he looked down his legs lost all their strength for a moment, and his body became imbalanced, in a state of panic he grabbed the tree with all his power as if he’ll fall down if he even slightly loosen his grip.

How the hell did I climb this higher?

He himself doesn’t knew he was afraid of height, now he was stuck on top of the tree, and the longest one on top of that. After a while he mustered up all his courage and decided to climb down, bit by bit.

After a very, very long time his feet once again successfully reestablished contact with the ground. He was so happy that tears were forming on his eyes. He kissed the ground and said

“Oh my lovely land I’ll never leave you alone again. I promise.”

‘Grumble~~’

While he was busy flirting with the land his stomach roared from hunger, but he had nothing to eat or drink and because sun was setting it might be dangerous to go on a hunt so he decide to somehow pass the night with empty stomach.

Our hero was already awake or you can say he never slept. He was frightened by the roar and noises of the animal, so whole night he remained awake, and if by any chance he felt asleep, noises of rustling bushes would wake him in fright. Now after sun was already shining high in the sky, he decided to take a quick nap.

After having a sound sleep for a while he woke up, he still wanted to sleep but the hunger and thirst wouldn’t let him so he decided to find some water first.

He was panting like a dog with his tongue out and losing his sanity bit by bit from dehydration, hunger, and fatigue.

at last he was unable to endure it any longer and passed out. He collapsed with a loud thud.

Few hours later ---

Somewhere near the unconscious man, a group of man goofing of.

“you bastards don’t laze around concentrate on hunting” Their leader Alistair said

“Don’t worry captain no prey can escape from my sight”

“I hope you are right else you could expect your meat to be added in tonight servings”

Another man said

“I’m looking forward for your meat tonight hehe”

“Shut up!! you middle man.”

Their pointless bickering was giving Alistair headache he wanted to strangle each one of them.

“shut your mouth you all else one of you won’t be returning home tonight.” Alistair warned them.

After Alistair intimidation no one said anything anymore they just kept looking for a prey while cursing Alistair in their mind.

While they were looking for prey one of them spotted a man lying on ground. He immediately informed Alistair.

“Captain, there is a person lying on the ground there, probably it’s a corpse.”

“where?”

“There captain”

Alistair move toward the direction where his man pointed to while thinking about it ‘Nobody is missing from our village, so who could that person be?….. What if its an enemy trap’ Alistair halted his steps when his thought came up to this point. He ordered his man.

“Stop!! check the surrounding first for any possibility of a trap who know it might be a trap laid down by our enemy.”

All men nodded seriously, they might have playful personality but when it comes to enemy they are the most gruesome warrior else they would never have been selected for hunter group.

They checked whole area for any kind of trap but it seems there worry was needless, they didn’t found any trap around that area so they finally, decided to approach the unconscious man. When they observed that man from near they noticed that the man was white as corpse.

“Captain he probably fainted from dehydration, his face is all pale. Should I give some water to….”

“water…. Water… wa..te…..rrrrr”

When the unconscious man heard ‘water’ he started murmuring water repeatedly and then again fainted. Alistair ordered one of his men to pour some water in his mouth and then started discussing with his team to what to do with this man.

“I think we should leave him”

“Yes I agree, if we take him to village it will only increase our burden”

“Yes you are right. Captain leave him here after all he is not one of us”

Alistair was listening to them attentively and after all of them finished voicing their opinion, he replied with a playful devilish smile

“I heard your opinions, so I came to the conclusion that we’ll take him to village with us.”

All of them almost vomited blood from anger, they all were having same thought ‘Why the fuck did you ask us if you were not gonna listen to us’

“captain. Hmph... Why did you ask us if you were not going to listen to us huh” One of them clenched his teeth and complained in a frustrated manner.

“HeHe I just wanted to hear your opinion heh? Are you angry, then come bite me... come on”

All men could only clench there teeth and bear the injustice and on the other hand Alistair was feeling very delighted after taking his revenge on his piggish teammates.

After a while they all returned to village, carrying an unknown man on their shoulder.
