Somewhere In a dungeon underneath a castle a boy by the name of Rubi had currently awoken to the sounds of stomping. When Rubi had attempted to get up the feeling in his wrists that he had become fairly familiar with ceased like nothing was there in the first place.
The weirdest thing he had noticed was that instead of being chained to the ceilings he was across the room from where he had originally been held captive. Was it him that put himself there or was it someone else. He had thought about it for a while before coming to the conclusion that whatever happened- happened.
Yet that didn’t stop him from feeling like something bad was going to happen.
Also when he had pulled himself up, it was like a miracle, like he was blessed by the gods themselves.
Not only was his body healed, his shaggy appearance had also changed, he was a new creature that was far out of human reach. His long black hair that used to be flowing freely had been tied into a ponytail as his skin had turned pale like snow.
His eyes were a dreadful scarlet color and his teeth had grown deadly fangs. Yet the biggest and most interesting change to his body was the two black wings the size of a grown adult on Rubi’s back. He also had a long black tail protruding from his tailbone with a spade on its tip.
-I need something to drink, I feel like i'm going to die.
As a vampire it was important to drink. Usually when a vampire is born its thirst for blood is twice as bad because of their lack of control. This goes the same for humans turned vampires. Without blood Vampires get the urge to drink just as humans get the urge to eat.
Rubi clutched his chest, the glow in his eyes were saying he needed to feed. The feeling of being starved was the feeling he felt.
“Ahh.” He grabbed at the rags beneath him trying to relieve himself of the pain. He had taken a deep breath and with his vampiric eyes he gazed around the room for something he could sink his fangs into.
Nothing had caught his attention.
A noise from the door became apparent.
Who could be at the door at this hour? It was loud, the sound was similar to an earthquake at a low magnitude or the sound of a bunch of kids running on the second floor.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
When Rubi had looked towards the door he had propped himself on the slab leaning his back all the way on the wall. He was like a fox ready to pounce.
The room was quiet, then suddenly after a couple of seconds the metal door that closed the cell suddenly flew open and guards covered head to toe in silver quickly filled the room. The heavy weaponry that had was enough to tell him they weren’t here for a chat.
“Human, according to the queen's orders you’re to be executed and your head brought to the queen.” The guard with the feather on his head had spat out his words placing his hand to his shoulder. This was commonly known as a knightly salute. It was common for knights to salute before introduction, yet this one was sort of different from the traditional one.
Rubi interjected.
“Hey that salute, wouldn't that leave you vulnerable ?” The guard sword was tightly in his hand, no emotion befell his face.
He was done talking.
“To hell you dreadful beast!” The guard's wave had triggered the other guards to position their guns. And after a nod from the guard the others took aim and gunfire rang as smoke filled the air.
The guard then brought his hand up as the other guards stopped the onslaught of gun fire.
“I shall cut the head off. The guard angled his sword up.
Slashing down the smoke atmosphere he revealed the room once more, taking a step forward. The step he had taken wouldn’t be one without consequence though, in his vision he had seen it.
In the corner where there should’ve been bullet holes and blood a ball of vampire wings had protected Rubi. “Impossible we had silver bullets he should have be penetrated with hol-”
Once the guard had made the connection he had seen his own body infront of him as one of the black wings had swiftly beheaded the guard. His blood quickly exploded from his decapitated corpse.
“Thanks for the meal.” The other guards who had witnessed this without much emotion for their fallen leader aimed their guns towards Rubi and took fire once more. Yet it was quickly blocked by Rubi’s right wing. Rubi picked up the severed head off the floor, the scent of flowers filled his nose.
Rubi then sank his fangs into the severed head’s neck gulping down its blood before throwing it back to where it belonged, the floor.
“Disgusting, but not enough.” Rubi with his scarlet eyes looked at the remaining guards. There were only a few, maybe 7 or 8 left. The few who had been smart enough to know decided they would leave protecting their own lives instead of the now dead leader. Gunfire rained once more…
Meanwhile in another part of the castle a girl with oddly bright red hair had been rudely awakened by a guard whose blood stained her once pristine red carpet. The guard saluted before walking into the room.
“Sorry for the intrusion princess Love. We are told to guard the princesses!” The guard had been heavily breathing as a deep cut was present on his back.
Love had tilted her head “And for what reason ?”
“A human turned vampire is currently running a rampage inside the castle.” This had caught her attention. “A human you say.” Love placed her fingers to her lips as a sharp grin fell upon her face.
-Finally some fun in his boring mansion.
Love who had been locked away in the castle was a force that even the queen feared. Not because she wasn’t strong enough, but because of Love’s violent tendencies. She was known for her recklessness and for the amount of bodies she had piled up.
“Where is this human turned vampire right now ?”
“What princess, it's too dangerous!”
“So what you’re saying is that you don’t trust my secret art ?” She gave him a psychotic look. If the guard continued on this path he would soon die if he didn't obey her wishes.
“U-uh he’s currently on the bottom floor, the dungeons.”
Love smiled. Somewhere else in the castle Scarlet had been searching the kitchen for blood with a smile across her face.
