Blood eyes only like floral patterns (Revised)

Blood eyes only like floral patterns (Revised)

The scarlet nation was not something to take lightly, behind all the brutality and grim originality the vampires weren’t something to be messed with unless you desired a painful tortuous death. One reason for this was simply because the human body was weak.

If it came to it one vampire of nobel origin had the power to end the lives of 20 humans without ever breaking a sweat. Considering this the human government decided it would be best not to meddle in their affairs in case the vampires ever decided it was enough.

Yet somewhere deep in a vampire castle a queen dawning the colors of red, white, and black sat on her throne unbothered by her chatting servants. She had blood colored hair with crimson red eyes. Her hair was tied up in a bun with a crown placed perfectly on her head. One would say she resembled a doll. She had porcelain-like skin and long elf-like ears. She wore a long dress and never showed her emotions to the public.

She was most certainly the queen but something in her mind had caused her to scrunch her eyes and twist her lips. The maids who had been next to her had spoken about something that she had managed to overhear.

“Have you heard ? The third daughter had turned one of the human prisoners into a vampire. That's insane isn’t it ?”

The maids had been whispering back and forth to each other but unknowingly to them the queen had one ear out and had heard everything that was whispered. Unfortunately for them the maids had been fairly new so they couldn’t have any way to know about the queen’s temper.

The frown on the queen’s face was enough for the maids to begin sweating bullets, her hand was curled into a fist. They immediately became silent.

And then something happened that one would say was bad luck.

Other than the foolish actions of the first two maids one girl across the room had fallen onto the red carpet. Everyone's gaze fell on her and she quickly knelt in front of the queen.

She seemed to be scared.

In the presence of the queen it was only natural to be scared. This queen, unlike the others, was not someone you could relax around; she was merciless and brutal, willing to kill at a moment's notice. If a vampire with similar power were to appear she would surely be run out by them, but the problem with that was that they were all dead.

“M-my q-queen what seems to be thy matter.” Her voice was shaky.

“What is this about my daughter making a human into a vampire?” The queen’s imposing voice was enough for anyone to decide it would be best if they rolled over and died. For a vampire, angering the queen was almost the same as a death sentence with most either being killed on the spot or being sentenced to the dungeons where they would spend the rest of their days till death.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

The maid placed her head to the ground and started apologizing in an attempt to preserve her own life. The queen’s face never changed, still as beautiful as ever, never making an unsightly expression not even once.

“M-my queen I apologize for my incompetence!”

“Quiet!!!” Once again the queen's imposing voice silenced the crowd, her fiery blood colored eyes burned the maid like a laser would a piece of paper.

The other maids all agreed that they were glad not to be that maid with a head nod.

“Tell me maid… How did you find this out ?” The maid practically went limp. Behind the queen’s heavy words was an uneasy feeling she couldn’t describe.

“M-my queen, the royal servants of the princess were talking about it. They spoke in whispers so I could only hear so much.” The room was once again filtered with silence. The pressure from the queen's blood eyes seemed to grow evermore terrifying. The queen had formed a grin across her face.

The maid who had been on the spot for what felt like hours suddenly gasped for air as she choked the air right out of her lungs with just her gaze…

“So maid… Why isn’t that you didn’t confront me about this pressing issue ?” Her heart must’ve been on fire, the calm yet unknown tone of the queen’s voice was enough for her to know. But she chose not to believe it. The maid had a fearful gaze upon the queen.

Then she remembered, this queen would kill if her answers didn’t align with hers. That made her fear for her life. The queen was fit to become a tyrant, yet nobody spoke out or corrected her behavior in fear that they would be the next to perish. Well it wasn’t fear as much as a lack of power, the only ones that could ever tell the queen any advice, were only her daughters. As the maid was attempting to come up with a reason a slight pain in her heart began to grow slightly.

“Errr.” The pain in her heart grew like a balloon until the pain became so intense it felt like her heart was going to burst. She had known it was over, but she couldn’t fathom a death such as this one.

“I-I apologize my lord please don’t kill me.” The pain grew more intense. The others in the room only looked away. The maid didn’t get a response, only pity.

With the queen's secret art at play there was nothing she could or anyone else could have done. The blood rose was something that once started can never be stopped. It was feared amongst everyone who had witnessed it, when it activates it almost instantly ends in death. If the queen willed it she can plant a rose in any person's heart who had stepped into her line of sight which will then expand and grow bursting out of every part in the body as a floral garden blooms out of the victim.

“This will be a message to those who don’t obey my orders.” And with that the queen opened a fan with her left hand and watched as the maid before her bursted into a beautiful sea of flowers throwing blood everywhere onto the floor, walls, and some of the maids who looked on in horror.

“You there.” The queen had called out a maid before her. The maid didn’t express any emotion; she must’ve been a maid in the castle for a while. “Yes, her highness.”

“Take this corpse to the garden and plant it into the ground so that the plants may have soil.”

“Very well.” The maid signaled for two other maids who lifted the corpse without much effort taking it out of the queen’s view.

“And you!” The queen waved her fan at the guard standing next to her who didn’t react or have any thoughts on his mind when the body exploded.

“Gather some troops and bring that disgusting human’s head to my throne.” The guard took his leave.

“Scarlet, why must you do this ?” The queen laid back on her throne, closing both her eyes and waited for what's to come.

“Love, Cherry, Cardinal, Scarlet, please be safe… Scarlet please don’t resist.” The queen whispered her thoughts.
