"Where are you?"
I tried to stand yet I can't.
"Where are you? I can't see you anymore."
Smoke rise above the grey clouds as my weapon fall from my yield.
"Don't leave me out here..."
My body lies in silence as the sound of silence and flames creeps to my cold ears.
"I do not deserve such a fate!"
Corpses littered everywhere, and crows fly overhead.
"I've fought for this empire ever since I was able to walk. I've been steadfast and loyal!"
My fingers twitch slightly among the uncountable frozen bodies.
"Haven't I, my Emperor? Loyal only to you?"
Coldness reaches till my core, yet the empty case laced with burned powder warmed me up.
"Have I not been your most loyal knight? An accomplished officer among the many and feared by my enemies? I thought you valued me? So, where are you?"
Drops of water spilled from the clouds and poured down on me. It's tainted water slips into my parched mouth.
"Do not leave me like this, forsaken and forgotten. Don't let me decay in this land, along with my enemies.
As the empty case grows cold, my eyes grow tire.
"War is all I know, war is all I have ever known. I could fight again if you give me a chance."

I tried to move my fingers once more. Yet, for all I tried, I can't even feel anything anymore.
"I can, I know I can! Just give me a chance! Please..."
As my vision darkens and all seems as naught but lost.
"I've always known how to fight, my Emperor. My skill, my mettle, my experience that has been forged and tempered within me, I can fight any war you want me too. And by joules, we know that we only have war out here-"
Fear clenches my heart as I know I'm going near the gates of death as time passes by.
I have dealt in death and forge victories out of it. I was there when the traitors first emerge in the realm of the Ovalon family, I was there with Daniel Gremons himself when they first emerge. We fought like we were inseparable and survive the onslaught, slaying hundreds or not thousands of those who have fallen to the sweet talks of those cults. I was the first to bring forth the news and reports to you, remember?
Years later, I was at the northern Ignis Isles defending the gates of Reina when the Zerians invade us in this time of crisis along with another Hero, Greynard Ford himself.
What a Hero he was! We defend the gates together for a day without rest. We fought as we were inseparable while we watch the bodies piled up high until the ground was turning into hills with the corpse of our enemies.
I witness his ending when he sacrificed himself to protect the engine that controls the gate from the Zerians.
How, we lamented his passing, my Emperor! He was treated with respect and reverence.
With DIGNITY!
He was not left on the battlefield, he was not abandoned to decay. His body was carried to the inner lands so that his story may be told to inspire new soldiers among our new generations. His precarious arms and uniomech was fixed so that it may be bestowed upon his successor.
Our people sang him the songs of our country, hyms of the battlefield as we brought his body to his grave. He was treated as a Hero was suppose to be treated.
"But, th-there is n-no such fate f-for me..."
As the rain turn to howling storms, smoke and blood fuse with the raging wind.
"Please don't abandon m-me. I don't d-deserve this."
As three shadows towers over me. Clad in their ragged clothes and eyes that glows purple in the shade.
Ah, Save me!
The cults, the greatest indignity have come to clean the field from spoils!
As they start carrying me, this dying body of mine.
Don't leave me here like this... Don't forsake me! Don't condemn me to such an IGNOBLE end! My, Emperor!
Where are you my Emperor? I can't see you anymore... Is it the smoke? Is it something wrong with me?
"Did I not serve you well?"
