Inside the Phoenix Household. (Epilogue)

Inside the Phoenix Household. (Epilogue)

"Hmm..."

"I see..."

Two children whisper to each other as they sit on their respective chair. Placing the different coloured blocks with levitation magic on the steel board infront of them. The wooden pyre illuminates the large room and their small shadows flicker and fade across the numerous towering shelves. they are accompanied by the glowing floating books that are flipping pages after pages as they make their moves. Warmness envelopes them as they both cuddle to a warm blanket and a cup of hot chocolate on each.

If anyone saw this they would probably think that this is just two children playing a board game as they enjoy a cup of chocolate in a fireplace but...

"Wow! Impressive..."

The boy leans forward and makes an innocent smile as he saw more than half of his blocks being sweep away.

"Hmph, you just lost half of your entire army in one turn and that's your reaction?"

The little girl says in an unimpressed tone as she sips her drink. Her large pink ears and tail wiggle in delight as the sweet taste of her drink spread to her mouth.

"Well, I just never knew rat-kins like you know advance forms of warfare. I guess I have to reevaluate the Rat kins on our walls... If they have a commander of your strategy then..."

The boy tucks his arms in his large sleeves and leans back as he sighs and says:

"Hah~ Well you win. A deal is a deal, I'll tell you something. Maybe I shouldn't have held back."

The girl places down her cup and stands in triumph saying:

"Well, no takesy backsy. Now tell me, what is your end goal?"

The boy still slouching overlooks at the girl with sleepy eyes saying:

"Hmm... That's a big jump but sure, I mean I don't know what're you going to do with this intel but it's nothing special really. We're just improving-

"Don't lie to me! We all know what I mean."

The girl stands and slams her tiny fist on the board as she shouts and cuts his words. She gains her composure saying:

"We all know the main reason you started your isolation in the first place. It's the fear of your plague and blight spreading."

The boy looks up as he tries to remember saying:

"Well, that's not a lie."

"But that's not all, is it? I talk with the maids and Sova to find that they never mention anything about the plague nor blight but something else entirely."

"So? I think you're underestimating the sheer size of the Phoenix Sect. Not all Segmentums are infected you know. And besides, with me and the "others" around, it never really spread far."

The girl grits her teeth before shouting:

"Stop beating around the bush! Fine! The moment you isolate yourself, multiple Sectors or even Segmentums were suddenly inflicted with a plague days after it's announced. And hits the Roosters especially the hardest. In fact, isn't that one of the main reason they revolted in the first place?"

"Well, that's their fault for making secret backdoor dealings with the "true" royals knowing there's a plague going on. But I have to admit that we poison and curse some of the things that were going to get ship illegally and no one, I mean no one can resist our unique resources. Especially our Phoenix Dew, Mmm~"

The boy suddenly pulls out a couple of golden candies from his sleeves and quickly eat it while gulping his chocolate. He smiles like an innocent child who received his candy as he stuffs his face full. The little girl simply stares at him intensely, the boy stops and looks at the girl saying:

"But I think you're too paranoid. It's all just a coincidence and a tragic chain of events. To be honest, we're just exploiting whatever situation that comes and I'm sure someone like you can understand what I'm trying to say. One of them is gaining the upper hand during the grand gatherings last year. It really puts a smile on this old coots face when she asks about the "sudden" outbreaks and exposes all the corruption that's been going on lately for one of her justification."

*suck* *suck*

The boy continues to suck on the dew as the girl sighs and sits down in fatigue saying:

"The map and all the other neutral troops' placements that I read yesterday. Comparing it to my info, they are pretty much the same... And if we say the same about the way you place your troops while taking into account all the transpiring events unfolding- No way! That's absurd!"

The boy stops and merely smiles saying:

"And? What did you get?"

She glares at him saying:

"You! You... No, is she actually planning on a Conquest!"

The boy looks past her saying:

"Sharp but not sharp enough. Ain't that right, your Majesty?"

"Huh!?"

Surprised, the girl quickly turns around to see a woman in her twenties. Her long luscious amethyst purple hair with a mix of lime green and apricot orange sways like the ocean as she walks. Her slim yet bountiful body is coat with her long and simple yet fancy robe. A mere sight would easily glue all eyes that see her. She truly is a sensational beauty.

When she holds the little girl's shoulder, every hair in her body suddenly stands in absolute terror. Cold sweat drips from her head as she realizes what is going on. Every instinct in her body screams that she has to run- no, she will die here no matter what... Like a mouse that is already in a Phoenix's burning claws. She will die in the eternal flames or in the smouldering guts.

"There never seem to be a day where you don't stop looking for knowledge."

The women speak as she walks slowly behind her and slides her finger on the girl's shoulders. As she gets closer to the burning purple pyre, silence now fills the room. The sound of the burning timber sparks softly. As she turns around, the flames quickly turn black and her shadow reflects something inhumane- no, demonic.

The room was suddenly enveloped in an eerie atmosphere. The warm steam the glass produce disappear like a blown candle, the warmness of her blanket is now filled with the chilling winds from the south. Her entire body which is now hidden by the shadows suddenly has two blood velvet dots where her eyes were supposed to be.

"I admire that, Sarah," The women speak as she looks up.

Following the women's gaze, the girl who's named Sarah looks up and saw multiple silhouettes of something no one should have ever seen.

(What the fuck!)

Sarah shouts in her mind. Well, everyone would have collapse out of fear and shock if this happened to them.

*gulp*

Sarah, terrified out of her wits and end. Yet out of dumb luck or maybe pure bravery, she looks back at the women with a crooked smile saying:

"Well, you did say I can take any information I want. Are you taking back on it now? And besides, what happened to that caring aura? Come to think of it, you only have that when you're with him huh. What a double face bitch."

*siiiigh*

The women make a long sigh and play with the board saying:

"Double face? I see... I think you misunderstand. I have no intention of harming you or your new master. But..."

The women take a few steps forward to Sarah and the black flames behind her grew wilder and fierce. Sarah instinctively tries to move back but realizes that she is already cornered in the chair she sits. The girl grits her teeth as she endures the terror.

"If you try to harm him in any way, HELL SHALL NOT BE YOUR WORST FEAR."

The women's eyes flare in bright red and purple light as the black flames behind her grows more ferocious as if it will swallow the room whole. Her shadowy figure looks as if she is the epitome of something monstrous and repulsive.

(What is this!? What- what is she? Is she even human at this point!?)

Sarah shouts in her mind. When the women suddenly turn her back on her. Everything return to normal. The flames turn small and tame, the room was lit in a cosy light, and the warmness the blankets provides a return.

*huff* *huff*

Sarah suddenly collapses to the ground as she tries her best to even breath.

"Sorry, it seems I let my emotions got me again. I'm not going to lie, I know about your secrets, your perished noble family, your journey and standing in society. Along with your new master, what's her title again? The Unsung Hero? So no need to hide and I'll gladly do the same.

As for him, he will set off in two or three days time... Hopefully. As for you, you shall protect him and guide him wherever he goes. And I'm sure it will benefit your new master very generously, will it not?"

As if all the colour in Sarah's face has been stripped off, she grasps her chest as if to calm her frantic beating heart. She still smiles as she looks at the women saying:

"You don't need to tell me."

"Wonderful."

With a single word, Sarah dropped to the ground unconscious, like the great warrior falling from grace.

"You know, I too have something I need to ask."

The boy who is being quiet for a while sudden speak.

"And what could it be Mike?"

"You know, I'm happy and all that you reunite with your brother is it?"

The women's face calms down and soften as she says:

"Yes, yes he is."

"Real question is, why didn't you tell me about him yet? Or that bihai. As you know, even if he is a Martial Artist we already have more than enough. And as you also know, we have no need for excessive things."

The women carry the sleeping girl's body near the fireplace and in turn, she sits on the little girl's chair saying:

"Hmph, I think either you're finally senile enough that you forgot I'm still in vacation or suspension from yours and everyone's recommendation or you're on another channel thinking something else entirely but yes, he is a Practioner. But he is also a multi-skill user."

The boy named Mike stands and clasps his hands saying:

"Yes, you're right. Forgive this old coots mistakes, I'll make sure to never repeat this again. But multi-skill? And what makes him so special? We already set criteria that our weakest practitioner must have more than three branches of techniques."

"The spirits showed me that he manages to use the Tiger's technique, the Crane's, the Monkey, and most importantly the Dragon's and one of the end skill dragon technique and not only that, he still probably hide more."

Mike's eyes widened with each technique she speaks. He smiles from ear to ear in absolute delight saying:

"Truly! A user with more than four branches of techniques and one of them is the secret dragon technique too!? Yes... Yes! That's more than enough-"

"That's just the icing on the cake."

Mike's words were cut short and he looks at her with curious eyes saying:

"What do you mean? Is there something more important than the Dragon's technique? Truly what can he achieve more while being so young and clueless?"

"I was planning to put him on the Diplomat and foreign affairs division."

Mike sits down and closes his eyes for a while before opening them asking:

"Not questioning your wisdom your majesty but why? From what I see he can't even greet people properly."

"Just put some training and it'll work out. For just like me in the past, he too has Libera's Light."

"Wait, so he has standing in Libera's church too! Amazing! And here we thought we couldn't establish contact with Theocracy anymore with your mother gone and all and your curse too... Hmmm, knowing you, more is never enough is it? what else is he capable of?"

The women smile pleasantly saying:

"He can also use Chaos Magic like us and have multiple Chaos Weapons too."

"Chaos Magic and its weapons too!? Wait, and-and he's still blessed with her light!? Truly?"

"Yes, I may not have her light but I can still sense and see it. In fact, it surprises me that it's much brighter than the last time I met him. He must have made a true companion with someone from another pantheon too."

"That's- MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Mike suddenly burst out into mad laughter that echoes through the whole archive with both zeal and intensity. Dropping his cup yet it didn't break nor does the content spill. He held his stomach as he tries to hold his laughter saying:

Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.

"Haha, haha, you... If he succeeds, we can probably abandon plan Arkinkor entirely. I wonder how long has it been since I've had so much hope for the future generation... Say, how many trump cards are you keeping hidden I wonder?"

"Oh much much more, and I'll deploy them when it's the opportune time like now. And if you're wondering why not just tell me well... I can't call them immediately either."

"Ah! I see... I guess I'll just have to follow up as always then."

"Yes, with our unification and expansion complete and most if not almost all our internal problem solved. We can expend our influence further than this frontier. And he will be an essential piece for our diplomatic relations outside this Frontier."

"Of course, of course, he's more than qualified to take most of the seats available... Say anything else you haven't said about him? I mean I know I could just read the report you will give me later but please, won't you tell me more?"

The women still smile pleasantly and rest her head on her hands saying:

"He's also the adoptive brother of one of our five Special Rank Hunter Rubeca and An Owlian too."

The boy suddenly makes a surprise face and silence fills the room. The boy smiles wide and it becomes even more crooked and malicious as he falls into wonders. He quickly stands and clasps his hands again saying:

"So that means he can be a figurehead for the Owlians who just moved in and with him being an Owlian, we can also establish contact with both the United States since he can use magic AND the beaten Aologi Empire that is still hiding somewhere around the world...

Mwahahaha, what manner of monstrosity have you just pulled from under your wing? With him, our ambition is not merely a pipedream anymore. Now then, please excuse me, your Majesty. I must return to the New Capital at once if he is to be immediately employed."

"That's what I wish for. And prepare a Silencer Armour and bring it here by the morning."

"Oh! A silencer huh? Yes, I will gladly Obey. Who knew you were still pulling the strings during your vacation too. You're going to make this old bones break from sheer jubilations and hard work."

He bows and disappears like the wind. The women, still sitting in the room looks at the sleeping girl and decides to turn the flames off with but a flick of her finger. As darkness envelopes the room, the women stand and cover the little girl with both blankets while the women leave her to sleep in the archives.

"I have so many things I need of you Sova. Even if there are still some who don't approve of you, I'm sure you'll be something wonderful."

As she exits the archive, the area around her suddenly shifts and turns. Warping, distorting and bending beyond recognition. Before long turn into a dark and empty room. But saying it's empty is just an understatement for there is something or someone here.

"Xue-Jie, good evening."

"Shut up, Yuwei. Don't you dare call me that."

Yuwei's greet was answered by a harsh reply. The replier in question is a woman in her teens, she is beautiful as she is mystical. Her white hair and skin coupled with her clear blue eyes make her a different eye-catcher than a certain woman in purple if it's not ruined by the scar in her nose. She is named Xueque, one of the daughters of the White Phoenix family and one of the few survivors of the purge of Dongjing city.

"Sorry but I'm the one giving orders. It's been a year since then. So let us talk shall we?"

"..."

Only silence is there.

"So, how does it feel to cause such tragedy?"

When she says that, Xueque grits her teeth before shouting:

"Tch, tragedy my ass! It's nothing compared to what you have done to us!"

Xueque shouts at her even with her neck chained down. Her ferociousness still carries on in her voice

"Oh finally talking? But really now?"

Yuwei jest at her statement with a smirk as she sits down on the card hold ground. Seeing this, Xueque looks her in the eyes shouting:

"You slaughtered thousands of your own family in cold blood! Even your caretaker who help you! Your own FAMILY!"

Yuwei calmly closes her eyes saying:

"I see, then I should thank those people who embezzled money from my parent's inheritance, those who ruined me and my little sister's- no she didn't even get a social debut thanks to the red phoenix meddling. And then there are those people that exclude me from any social standing and turn me and my little sister into nothing but a living storage. Oh and let's not forget a certain pedophilic white uncle and a certain golden princess with her flock of myriad coloured birds whose sole purpose is to destroy my connections and cause endless misery to anyone who associated with me at our "School". And so much, much MORE. Lastly does THIS ring any bell?"

She then opens her robe and separates her chest to show what's between it. A gaping scar that could open a large gash between her chest.

"I decided to keep it as a good reminder to keep myself on guard all the time."

Xueque grinds her teeth as she saw it and turns away asking:

"Then what did you do to them...?"

The women merely smile and tighten her robes saying:

"Ah right, you were quickly deported by your father to who knows where when I begin. But I'll tell you, I'm a forgiving person. So all of the people who are not related by blood all went to exile."

"Don't you dare lie! I know what happened! You assassinate them didn't you!?"

"Ah, I guess fate really wants us to look like the villains huh? But then again, if I told you the truth will you believe me?"

Xueque looks down in regret as she keeps her silence.

"I see... Though growing up, I learn not everyone is cut from the same cloth. And the most surprising thing is how most of them still keep their loyalty to their houses even after knowing what they've done to their own people, my family and along with my plans too. It really numbed my hands everytime my blade slice through the necks of someone so deserving to live a better life. And after losing my family, I've gained some new ones. Albeit not by blood but being with them are truly my happiest moments.

I found what it means to live on even with the dead literally beside me. And after fulfilling my duty and seeing how the things I made flourished with my own eyes. I started seeing the true value of humanity."

Xueque looks back at Yuwei saying:

"Why are you telling me this Yuwei?"

"Everyone can change if given a chance. If I can so can you. You're different than those useless flocks. The only Segmentum where the people chose to fight with their Lords is yours. And you know how stupid it is to follow that golden brie. And you suffered almost the same fate as me by her."

Yuwei presents her right hand saying:

"Join me, Xueque. Your conduct will of killing thousands and potential hundred thousand more will, of course, be punished by death but after that, it will be your chance to be someone anew after revival. Don't make the same mistakes as your parents. You're not the same as them."

Xueque hangs her head in disbelief saying:

"Are you serious?"

Her tone filled with both confusion and surprise. Yuwei merely chuckles and reply saying:

"Of course! I have an ambition to fulfil. And this, a tenth of a city is just the beginning."

Xueque looks at her again with her eyes wide. The words spouted by Yuwei is just too much to comprehend. After all, she is Yuwei. The girl who's been secluded for family matters her whole life until just half a decade ago. And so out of curiosity and fear, Xueque asks:

"And what would your glorious ambition be? Is it perhaps the rouse of the spirits? Or did you just make a deal with the Fallen?"

Xuque's tone was taunting, coupled by her glare it was a more of a demand. Yuwei turns around and makes a small laugh.

"Fufufufu."

"What's so funny?"

Yuwei reaches her hands into the empty ceiling, trying to grasp something with all her might. The room distorted and breaks as if it's made out of glass. Xueque seeing this scene quickly try to stand and realize she's not in the room anymore and there are no chains holding her anymore. It's the back garden where the mother tree lies.

"You, what's-"

"In ancient past. Humanity is free. No such things as Gods or nationality."

"What-"

"A time before Rucina, a time before the Hero of Freedom, a time before the Apocalypse. Humanity existed with many in this world yet they always felt alone."

"Yuwei stop this-"

"It was a time where everyone was afraid, a time where they grieve endlessly and felt lost in the anarchic world."

The pure silver moon grace the bathe the garden with its graceful glow. The surrounding dimly lit by the small pyrebugs. Yuwei calmly takes a sit under the tree. The soft winds smell of the unique Wangwo and Rukui flowers, giving the area a subtle atmosphere.

Xueque in full daze can only stand in confusion. Yuwei looks up at the mother tree saying:

"And of course, there are times when Humanity felt awe and wonder but didn't have the answer they so desperately need."

Yuwei reaches her hand infront as she tries to grasp the moon saying:

"But the deepest desire Humanity has is of course. The need to control, to rule, to dominate others under their iron fist... To be fair I felt all of that as I live here. And I'm sure you do too."

The moon suddenly turns red. In a flash, the entire area was dyed in the crimson light.

"And so, the Origin Gods were born."

As the entire sky burns, burning stars rained down on the terrorize voices.

"And with this, Humanity created the most powerful weapon to use against themselves. Religion. And with the birth of pride and the difference of civilization we created the nationality cults."

Xueque, frustrated and not knowing what's going on quickly brush off all the confusing imagery shouting:

"Where are you going with this Yuwei!? Stop spouting nonsense!"

Yuwei hangs her head saying:

"In all of this, the Gods and nationality were most useful. It is a necessary Evil and divergence but it has outlived its usefulness."

Yuwei stands and her eyes turn red.

"Humanity is growing up and the Gods and old traditions have outlived its usefulness."

Xueque confused beyond compare can only leave her mouth open in awe and disbelief.

"Granted I am still bound by such things and so is everyone. As a matter of fact, I loathe how people can't respect someone's private space. That's why I will change if I wish to fulfil my ambition to create a world where no religion nor nationality exist!"

"T-that's mad Yuwei! Don't you realize what just spout out of your mouth!? What kind of world is that!?"

Xueque shouts out loud but Yuwei walks past her whispering:

"But don't you want it?"

"Huh?"

Standing back to back with the red moon shining above them, the winds blow fiercer as purple petals dyed red by the moon scatters around. Xueque hearts sunk and shrinks as she realizes the meaning of those words. Yuwei looks back from her shoulder saying:

"A world where we don't need to think or judge where someone comes or born from, a world where you don't need to think twice to help someone, a world where no one country shall claim themselves as superior, a world where no same race shall be divided, or where people stereotyping you from where you're from. It will truly be a free and united world."

Xueque grasps her weakened heart as to not falling for her words shouting:

"What you're speaking is making an anarchy Yuwei! Who in the right mind wants that!? What you speak is nothing but boorish ideals! It's full of contradiction!"

"Of course there will be contradictions, nothing is perfect. And I know too well anarchy is daft, that's why I intend to use something new or learn from the past for references. Nothing is perfect in this world, like how nothing is always 100%, just like how one plus one will sometimes not be two. Just like the concept of duality, there can be no good without evil, no order without chaos. What I will create is a mighty country- no, that's a wrong word... A realm, a world of a clean new slate where not even words can describe it! Not a Utopia nor a Dystopia, but merely a clean slate."

"That's enough Yuwei."

Xueque finally snaps but instead of shouting and expressing anger. She shows a face full of fatigue and she finally sits down on the grass field saying:

"Enough, I don't know how you were able to beat us with such stupid ambition. In the end, I won't be joining you Yuwei, I will protect the status quo and if you wish to kill me for it then go ahead."

A shadow looms over Yuwei's face and the room distorts one more back into the dark black room.

"I'm truly disappointed Xue-Jie, I thought if anyone would understand it will be you. After all, the one you love died just because he's a foreigner and too prideful to say sorry."

"Shut up, I love him because of that, he died believing what he wants. But before you leave, tell me, who were you going to invite to your cause?"

"Not that it matters if you know- unless someone can contact a... Alright, I'll tell you. I have many majors like you who I want under my wing. And another one of the majors is, of course, him, Moriz Chenghu."

Xueque eyes widened as her energy returns. She stands up shouting:

"Yuwei you-!"

Her word was cut short when Yuwei raises her hand saying:

"But then as he always does, he got himself captured when I try to invite him. Knowing him, he definitely escaped by some loophole or boldly making a backdoor deal infront of the masses and actually get away with it. As a matter of fact, I received a secret letter from the White and Golden Tiger' head that I will receive reparations in ample supply and in a form of a head from the mistake of the White Tigers Youngest son, you know who."

They both fell into silence as they realize how used they are to his shenanigans. Yuwei turns her back to Xueque saying:

"Now then, I will respect your choice. You shall be executed by two sunrises."

Xueque closes her eyes and hangs her head as she accepts her fate. Yuwei walks away and continues saying:

"And your memories shall be kept in the new capital bank after we view it."

"My memories!? Yuwei...!"

Xueque' screams swallowed by the warping space.

*************************************

As the room changes again, Yuwei now stands between the hanging steel and wooden slabs, coupled by the polished floor with a tint of a flavoursome smell, it is none other than the royal kitchen. Where all the special, exotic, and unique delicacy is prepared in advance. Yuwei whose face is stern from the decision made by Xueque decides to pacify her boiling rage.

For, after all, she's the leader of a mighty empire which will soon revolutionize into something that can't be described by the existing words. Tea and cookies are usually the leeways for tranquillity but Yuwei is more or less different. Years of suffering from her own family when they prevent her from tasting any dainty treat, coupled with the years of harsh training, years of internal civil conflict and a year of civil war. She developed a habit of eating something that fills her stomach than cuisine that tickles one tongue, a soldier's stomach is what's best to describe her.

Yuwei particularly keeps her own stash filled and plenty. Grabbing a box full from the food depot, she left the dark kitchen with heavy steps, probably from the sheer weight of the mountain of food. With the help of qi and magic, she enhances her arms to do something impossible by any normal Owlian, using one arm to hold the entirety of the food and the other to push the kitchen doors and being careful so the food doesn't drop. Expecting the staff' cafeteria outside to be empty, to her surprise, three people came to her view.

Yuwei carefully chooses who gets to enter the palace so she remembers everyone who enters, even each palace garrison guard and roaming spirits. One of the three people in question is Yuwei's sworn brother who just returned from the gruelling training of the Speical Rank Hunter Rubeca, Sova Anmao. A boy with a controversial look which is normal in the Theocracy. A trap if you will, the cute aura that exudes from him makes people wish to protect or cuddle him close and the nail in the coffin would be his voice which sounds like a girl. The other is the spirit medium she found during her reunification, Yuria. Her brown hair coupled with her orange eyes gives the feelings of someone who sees things differently which in reality she does not. In the material world as much as she knows. And the last is a member of the Elite groups of Aclisia Auxiliary from the Eclipse Empire, Kokkan Kuroyuri who she just dispatches to Sova. From his black garments that fit well with his jet black hair and deep blue eyes, his calm and cool demeanour, and his looks make him a very handsome man that could swoon any ladies. If only he knows how to and the fact that he panics quickly when someone finds out about something he tries to keep.

Kokkan and Yuria quickly get into their knees while clasping their hands shouting:

"Good evening your Majesty!"

"Good evening your Mistress!"

(It seems there is still a long way before I can abolish the royal family systems).

Yuwei thought to herself but then again, she is using it to her advantage which is also a problem. They both greet with both vigour and intensity while Sova surprised by their sudden act tense up before looking back at Yuwei and calms down. A smile form from his face as he says:

"Good evening Sis, I'm sorry to not rest as you tell me too. I'm... I'm just hungry."

Yuwei eyes widened in surprise before the stern in her face fades to a gentle smile as if all her problems have faded.

"Fufufufu, right. Both of you please stand. And as for you Sova, I just remembered that we haven't even had lunch yet. Now then, I have prepared some food in advance so shall we dine together?"

Yuwei lifts her box which is full of vegetables, meat, and fruits while both Kokkan and Yuria stand and move to the side. Sova smiles and nods saying:

"Really!? Of course! But... What about Sis Fei? Won't you invite her too? I mean with her it will be together like breakfast. Or if she's tired I guess it's okay... Or maybe I should visit her room?"

"Fufufu, Sova, you're at an age where you can't just waltz into a girl's room anymore. But..."

Yuwei walks to the nearest table and places the box down with a thump while avoiding the utensils that are already there. She looks back at Sova saying:

"Sure, Yuria, if you would please."

"Of course your majesty if you'll excuse me."

Yuria clasps her hands and bows down before phasing through the wall. Yuwei continues on like everything is normal and takes a sit in a way of a true royal that excels in manner. She rests her head on her left arm and taps the table with the other saying:

"Come, sit, let us enjoy the feast, Sova."

Sova receiving her invitation nods with a smile and sits down in a gauche way which shows his lack of social interactions...

(Even though he can speak fine I guess his body doesn't. That will need training too. Other than that...)

As Yuwei stares at the Sova who's gawking at the mountain of food. She can't help but question how nature works. His smooth kind of long blonde hair, his dark brown eyes, naturally pink lips, pearl white skin, along with his slim figure. He's just like a living porcelain doll if it wasn't ruined by the scar under his left eye. He's a beauty that someone wishes to keep for themselves.

Anyone, who finds out will ask why make him a man? Or people with magic would curse the Gods for making him an Owlian.

Sova takes the chopsticks that are already on the table and place it down again as he lifts it.

"It's better if we eat together, I must hold it."

He closes his eyes and mouth with all his might which make him flattened his lips...

(Adorable~)

Yuwei smiles pleasantly at her thoughts as she stares at him.

"Fufufu, yes."

(I thought hearing his death meant the Gods are punishing me for my actions, but that's the mindset everyone who has been indoctrinated has. And it made me wonder who in their right mind wishes to be with monsters disguised as a Gods and Goddesses who send people to the purgatory to be tortured for eternity and desired to be continually worshipped by everyone. And ironically, those who suffered are the ones who revered her the most... No, all the religions work like that. All free, all-forgiving, and all-loving my arse! For once I curse such things).

Yuwei's face soured up as the thoughts fills her mind. Sova fidget asking:

"Um, did I do something wrong, Sis? Your face is scaring me."

"!?"

Surprised, Yuwei calms down and takes a breather. Before smiling again saying:

"Forgive me, Sova, I'm thinking about work. But then again, I'm happy you're back Sova."

He nods with a smile saying:

"Uhm, thanks, Sis. I'm happy I could reunite with both you and everyone here."

As they both wait and talk together in the dimly lit cafeteria, their joyful sound resonance in the empty halls. It was true peace for Yuwei, but she realizes that this peace will only last for this night.
