Prologue

In the small town of Lock, Arthur White, a common salaried worker, was arriving home after having worked for more than ten hours. Upon arriving, as usual, he takes off his shoes, unbuttons his shirt and then says to himself, as if in a whisper, "I can't stand this anymore, that damned boss always exploiting the workers:

-I can't take this anymore, that damned boss always exploiting the workers and having fun at the expense of our work... I wish he would just die!

He stood for a few seconds while thinking about his life; instinctively, he just shakes his head as a sign that no matter how much he did, his life was not going to change overnight, so he finishes undressing and lies down on his bed, but not before setting the alarm to wake up the next day.

-This life sucks, if only I could be reborn or something like that... then I would try to lead a different life... - he thought while his eyes closed due to fatigue - I would live like the millionaires who enjoy power, wealth and influence... I would live like a... king!....

After a while he began to feel strange, he could not explain it, but he felt like he was not himself, and he also felt an intense sensation of coldness all over his body, so he decided to open his eyes, and he was very astonished. When he opened them, he saw the sky and the stars, which was very, very strange, since it only meant one thing that he was sleeping outdoors and that he was not at home... however, he clearly remembered having arrived home and having laid down on his bed...

-What the hell... Where the hell am I? -Arthur asks himself.

Moments later he begins to feel a little panic because he did not know where he was or why he was in that place, so he decides to stand up and try to find someone to help him to orient himself, but, when he gets up, he notices that his limbs were very short, his arms and legs had become smaller, this fact makes him even more nervous, until he looks and sees that in front of him there was a puddle of water that reflected his face.

-Whose face is this? Is this child me? -Arthur thought even more astonished.

He didn't know why, but his face and body were those of an unknown child, nothing that was happening to him made sense, as in a moment he went from sleeping in his bed to waking up in a strange place with the face and body of a child he didn't recognize.

-What the hell is going on? Am I dreaming? -he asked himself.

It was the only possible explanation for what was happening to him, but the strange thing was the realism of the dream, since everything felt very vivid, the smell of dirt, his reflection in the puddle of water, that place where he was, besides the intense cold he felt, he did not know what else to think or do until, suddenly, he began to hear voices coming from the end of an alley; when he heard them he ran towards that place, while he thought that finally someone could give him the answers he needed.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

As he left the alley, the scene he saw left him stunned, from what he could see, it seemed that he was in a place similar to a shopping street, as in the area there were many stalls of vendors, besides having a lot of people walking around, but what really left him amazed and almost stunned was the style of clothing that people wore, they were wearing clothes and dresses like those worn in medieval times!

Arthur felt like the world was spinning around him, as his head was filled with various thoughts, until one of the vendors said to him, "What's up kid?

-How are you boy, are you lost, where are your parents?

Arthur didn't know what to answer him, because in the end he didn't know where he was either and he almost didn't know who he was, so he decided to start a conversation with the merchant and, in that way, to get information about that place. So he begins by improvising:

- I have no parents, I am an orphan.

-Oh little one, what a pity! Unfortunately I can't do much for you, except this," he says while throwing him two apples, "I would like to give you more, but unfortunately this is what I live on....

-Thank you very much for the apples," the boy says in gratitude.

-You're welcome, little guy," says the vendor as he says goodbye.

-Just a moment... -Arthur says to him before he leaves, "If it's not too much trouble, could you tell me where I am?

-That's no problem, right now you are in the city of Moon, ruled by Baron Jack Moon, belonging to the Bless Empire.

-And could you tell me if there are other empires besides this one?

-Of course, there is also the Kingdom of Lost and the Sun Empire, those are the three human kingdoms that exist, in addition to the kingdoms of the other races.

-By other races do you mean elves or dwarves?

-That's right! In this world, besides us, there are six other races: elves, dwarves, dragons, demi-humans, demons and monsters... but now I have to go, I hope what I have told you will help you.

-Yes, thank you very much," said Arthur to the salesman before he said goodbye.

With all the information obtained from that kind gentleman, Arthur was sure that he was not in his world, that apparently -something or someone- had taken him to this other world without him knowing why.

-Well, I don't know why but, apparently, this is my world now, apparently someone gave me a chance to start again, so this time I will do what I want, in this world I will become someone of great power and influence, someone who will not bow down to anyone, or to whom no one tells him what to do, hahaha... this world will be mine! -thought Arthur.
