A near forgotten memory, showing its form into a vivid dream, a young man in brown clothes with no face, seemingly patting a child's head, a gentle warm pat that calms a child's heart.
Transits to the young man fighting a giant monster with 6 arms, a terrifying face with sturdy body. Clashing the young man's sword with a palm of its hand consecutively. Thus, transits again to him sitting under a bright full moon while the stars shines at the night sky, a wind breezing through the land, blowing their hair and clothes. The young seem to said something yet no sound is coming through until, "...u ..... . ...e .....u e...r ..i...e I..e... .o.. "
A sentence that herself, never understood what it meant even within the dream.
A monster collapsed to the ground, died by huge hole on the center of its body, burning with a blue fire.
"That was so cool, Mr. Genzo! You just flicked your finger and killed the high ranked monster instantly!" Ramelin, looking at Genzo with admiration.
While Genzo, pondering about, "How the hell did monsters spawn after the world got distinguished? Maybe theirs descendants were alive, hiding to survive and reproduce."
Ramelin looking at Genzo, confused about what's in his mind. Yet, she leaned into his arm in excitement, "If you had this kind of ability, why don't we annihilate all the monsters roaming around?!"
"What should I say about that... I'm just lazy to do that kind of stuff I guess. I don't mess with life sometimes." Genzo replied.
Ramelin pouts, "Aw, what a pity, it should've solved this kind of problem if you do it."
Genzo looks at Ramelin, with an annoyed expression, "What a pain in the ass. She keeps yapping about everything I do! Maybe if I teleport somewhere, she wouldn't find me, but she'll search for me everywhere until I'm found..." He pondered.
A growl heard from the bush, Genzo swings his hand, the trees and plants were sliced to the ground, the other halves blown by the immense wind. The monster hiding loses it's half, dying with a clean cut.
An unknown person from afar heard the following explosion-like sound and went to where it was.
"So powerful!" Ramelin shouted.
"Can you be at least a little quiet? You've been talkative ever since you joined my adventures." Genzo said.
"Roger that!" Ramelin shouted yet again.
Genzo is annoyed but he remains collective as he doesn't want her to look bad. A sound of the bush made Genzo wary about what it is. An unfamiliar elf with a large hat that covers her face entirely appears, "Were you the one who blew the woods around here?" She asked.
Genzo replies, "Uhm, yeah. Who're you?" followed by a question.
"Just a wanderer, I've been wondering what is going on within the woods." She answered.
All of the sudden, a lazer beam shoots out aiming at the Elf, Genzo summons a barrier and deflected the attack. A very powerful impact occurs, causing the trees to collapse and wipes out the plants.
"Impressive, you have a good reflex and strong barrier magic. Are you perhaps a defender knight?" She asked while touching the barrier.
"Barrier magic? Oh, these strange object is called a barrier? Why didn't Raijin tell me that?" Genzo ponders while he views the barrier's full appearance, then he answers, "Actually no, I'm just a wandering traveler too, though I am indeed not to be underestimated."
"Good confidence, could you kill that Spiratorath that just attacked us just now?" She asked a favor.
"Spiratorath? Is that the monster over there?" Genzo asked while pointing at the monster with a large hole on its body, brutally killed by an unknown power. "I guess the attack must've deflected back to its owner." He stated.
"This man is no ordinary human, just being able to get a glimpse of him moving and strikes the monster down without changing his position, even the girl besides him is as powerful as Jeliu yet she didn't even notice it. I cannot take him lightly." She pondered, she held her staff cautiously in case he might attack.
While Genzo already noticed her being wary of him, does not bother mentioning it as it doesn't change anything. "So, do you need something else? But before you do, may I know your name?" Genzo politely asked.
Stolen story; please report.
The unknown elf, seem to be pondering about something, finally answers, "My name's Anderson, I'm just a wandering traveler like you. What about you?" She asked.
At the moment, Genzo has realized something. "Anderson... This name is clearly from Earth's! Out of all the strange names I have heard in this world, this one is the least of it. It's most likely she's connected to the Legendary Hero the Elf King mentioned." He pondered. After much thinking, he replies, "I'm Genzo, a human. And this girl is Ramelin, an elf."
Anderson replies while shrugging, "I can already tell by the length of her ears. Though it's interesting you made a Pure Elf your companion."
"A pure Elf? What do you mean?" Genzo shocked by what he heard, curiosity made him question.
"Didn't you know? Pure Elves lived for more than a thousand years, naturally born within the World Tree's roots. However, not everyone knows in this age that the World Tree actually lay eggs in the Ancient Times where humans were a barbaric apes, newly evolved into a new form. Pure Elves were much more powerful than Current Elves, existing solely by the World's Mana Source itself, not the World Tree's Mana Source." She stated.
Genzo's speechless by her boundless knowledge. He has come to a conclusion, "You must be the Great Mage the King Elf has told me about. Without a doubt."
The unknown elf is shocked by his intelligence, "Impressive that you knew I'm the Great Mage all this time. I shouldn't have told so much." She said.
"But the King said you don't care about anything though that's why you've abandoned saving the world, I don't know the reason why you're explaining things to a total strangers?" Genzo asked.
She laughs as to what she heard, "That fool, he thinks I'm some kind of nonchalant or something? Hah, well, I don't have anyone to talk to, so that's why I'm killing time explaining things to you." She replied. She walks off and sat down the nearby tree root and explains, "The reason why I never fought the Demon King or his name "Asmephord", was because I knew how powerful he is. I also knew that he could copy anyone's specialized magic techniques if he kills that individual. You've heard about the first Legendary Hero before right? He was killed by Amephord himself, gained a immense power from the Hero, reaching beyond the World's limits that even the Goddess Athena noticed, which resulted him being sealed for 1000 years." She stopped halfway, gripping her skirt tightly, she tries not to cry as it would embarrass her. "But, I couldn't save Anderson, Benturu, and Emiliane... I... I don't deserve to be called as the Great Mage, I'm just a powerless Pure Elf who only gained powers after seeing my kind being massacred by the demons, the atrocious trauma that I have concealed within my adventures, which resulted me being weak like a normal girl..."
Genzo comforts her and held her shoulder, "Don't blame yourself for being powerless, you only failed protecting them because it was an inevitable end. You all faced a powerful being, so it's normal that sacrifices has to be made. I think." Though he wanted to ask about who this "Anderson, Benturu, and Emiliane" is but it was met with a wrong time and wrong place. He will keep that question for later.
She laughed it off, "Heh... I don't think you're trying to comform me or you just don't know how to. But you're right, I have faced powerful beings that I can't defeat alone. I wonder who was that Hero that defeated Asmephord..."
Ramelin shouted, "It's Genzo who kille–" But quickly stopped by Genzo by shutting her mouth.
"Uhh, don't believe what she just said, she's a huge supporter of mine that would brag everything I didn't even do." Genzo explains with a blunted lie.
The Elf stands up and already figured out everything. "It's not surprising, I knew you're the one who killed that Spiratorath earlier with a quick movements that I, cannot foreseen. It's getting late, I have to go now."
"But you haven't told us your real name yet though?" Genzo said.
"Since you're no threat, I guess telling it to you has no problem. My name's Adrila, Adrila Jica." She replied with a truth.
Hmm, Adrila Jica huh? She had the most unique name I've ever heard.
"Well then, Adrila, we may part ways for now. We'll see you again in another time." Genzo bids his goodbye, waving as he leaves with Ramelin.
Both of them are now gone from Adrila's sight, she stands there suspiciously and asks, "Who are you?"
The sun is setting, but the wilderness has gone dark. Everything is difficult to see as the only thing that can be seen is pure darkness. An unsettling noice from afar, seemingly coming closer, until an unknown figure attacks from the bush behind her, unexpectedly blocked by Adrila's barrier magic. A noice of a hitting blade, makes Adrila notice their position then shoots out a magic beam from her staff. The unknown figures quickly dodges the attack and hid among the bush yet again.
Adrila smirks off, "Impressive, though that wasn't enough to get me off-guard."
She began doing a freestyle with her staff, only to stick it to the ground then summons a mystical tree roots, arising from the ground below.
An another attack from behind swiftly held their dagger and goes for the neck, she notice it and casts a barrier within 1 meter only to be broken, with no other choice, she dodges by stepping at the back. Adrila then take the staff off the ground and in an instant, she hit the unknown attacker in the head, immediately turning the ground into a hard surface and the attacker's head hits the floor and dies with blood coming out of it's head.
While distracted, the other attacker tries to stab her behind again, only to be pierced in the heart first by her with the tip of her staff.
The two attackers' corpses were laying on the ground, it could get any worse if left there and rot.
She checked what are those who attacked her, "Huh, so it was an Injikami Goblins. I thought they were instinct after that World Blast..." The moment she mentioned the blast that almost destroyed the world, she's starting having headache, as if it was a traumatic response from her experience.
Adrila casts an everlasting flames, a fire enough to turn a body into ashes under a minute. As she is done, she took off and left like nothing happened.
In an abandoned house, Genzo and Ramelin temporarily lives in due to the rainfall.
Ramelin looked outside and complains, "Aw, this house looks... Eek! There's a lot of spiders! Genzo, I wanna go to another place where it's clean!"
Genzo with an annoyed expression, replied to her, "Come on, just deal with it. The spiders are gonna do nothing to you, and you're a pure elf, you're not supposed to be afraid of nature."
The more he looks at Ramelin with her scaredy face, the more pity he felt. He eventually stood up from the floor and goes outside.
While it's raining heavily, Genzo is seemingly dry, so Ramelin ponders to herself, "The rain drops... It's not touching him? Does he always activate barrier magic around him 24/7? That's strange, the most powerful barrier only has the duration of 1 hour, but his... There's something strange about his mana."
Genzo touched the ground, making Ramelin confused on what he is doing, until a built-in house appears, arising from the ground, though wiping out everything that's within the radius. In an instant, Genzo created a house with an ease, no effort whatsoever.
Ramelin was bamboozled as she did not expect him to be able to do that. Excitingly, Ramelin quickly rushed into a house, and see the fabulous house design. A golden chandelier with diamond glass, an obsidian table polished with marble at the edge, and a very comfy bed with a thick blanket joined with a air conditioner to keep the room cold.
"It may look decent but suit yourself." Genzo said.
But to Ramelin's eyes, this is a dream, a dream that she was always wanting to be true. She immediately jumped in the bed, and feel asleep in an instant. Genzo headed to the kitchen, opening the refrigerator and grabbed some loaf of bread with a bowl of pork adobo. He sat at the table and enjoyed a sandwish with adobo.
Time passed by, a group of unknown monsters sneeks from the bush, attempting to destroy the wall with a log, but for unknown reason, it deflected the log like a barrier has already been deployed all over the house. This alerted the security of the house and a special artillery appeared from the roof and shoots down all the monsters with a blue laser, the first monster to get shot shouted painfully as the heat slowly devoured its whole body, instinctively, all the monsters ran as they witnessed a very painful death. But it was all in vain as the laser catched up to them—wiping all of them without a corpse left.
