Yomi awoke feeling cold and wet. Yomi groaned as he stretched his body and opened his eyes. He was in some sort of cave but it was odd light blue crystals lined the walls. He tried to stand but quickly realized that his limbs were shorter and thinner. He looked over his body. It looked so small and delicate. He slowly made his way towards one of the larger crystals to get a better view of his body. Yomi drew a sharp intake of breath.
Yomi:” Even my voice has changed.”
Staring back at him was the face of a young girl about 12 years old dressed in tattered rags. Her eyes were molten gold, her skin was a dark red, and her hair was white in color that faded into silver. Yomi looked for any more changes she prodded his mouth with his tongue and felt that his incisor grew into fangs. She also had clawed hands other than that she looked human.
Yomi:” What am I? Where am I?”
*SCREEEEEEE*
Out of the shadows came a rat the size of an average dog. It's eyes were red and its teeth were bare, it looked hungry and she was on the menu. The rat lunged at Yomi with the intent of killing her. Yomi dodge at the last minute and struck out with her clawed hand aimed at its throat. The rat's head was separated from its body. Yomi had blood coating her hand. All of a sudden a screen popped up in front of her displaying her current status and other notifications.

Yomi:” Even though my body is weak it still has decent strength for a child.”
Yomi was suddenly hit by a wave of memories and emotions
?” Abomination!”
?” Don’t play with that thing!”

Yomi was enraged and saddened by these memories and the crushing feeling of pain and loneliness. How could anyone say those things to a child? Just because she had human foster parents doesn’t make her a monster. It not like she betrayed her own kind by liking humans.
Yomi” I promise you ,whoever I've inhabited I will live out your dream of seeing the world and grow stronger.”
Yomi could hear a faint voice in the back of her mind
?” Thank you.”
Yomi felt a weight lift from her chest. Yomi realized that she couldn’t just stay here. She has to figure out where she was and how to escape. Yomi’s stomach grumbled this body was starving. Yomi looked towards the body of the dead rat and weighed her options. She could eat the rat here or look for another food source.
Yomi:” I better take my chances with the rat.”
Yomi slowly made her way towards the decapitated rat eyeing it just incase it moves again. She reached out with her claw and slit open its stomach and let the intestines slip out. She carefully slid one of her fingernails under the skin so as not to damage it and removed its fur.
Yomi:” Good thing I used to hunt for my own food.:”
Yomi but into the meat of the rat and hoped she wouldn't get sick. She knew she wasn’t human anymore but it doesn’t hurt to be cautious. It tasted terrible but she forced herself to continue for survival.
Yomi:” That was the worst thing I ever ate in my life.”
Yomi turned towards where the crystals seem to be getting larger and began to walk. She saw a faint orange glow at the end of the tunnel as she walked it began to get hotter.
As she came to the final stretch the heat skyrocketed. Yomi finally made it pass the threshold it gazed out at a scene that truly stunned her. In front of her was a vast expanse of magma running forming rivers. Out of the magma was a red serpentine body covered in dark scars. Yomi’s instincts told her to run but her determination pushed her through it. She continued to look around. Red lizards and salamanders were perched on rock hissing at each other. Yomi was not prepared for this and she knew this.
Yomi:” Damn is this some sort of dungeon!”

Yomi:” I'm in some sort of fantasy world dungeon.”
This came as a jolt of reality even though she killed that rat, she could have been stuck in some sort of dream of hallucination but now she knew that it was real.
Yomi:” Calm down Yomi! Just because you are stuck here doesn't mean it’s not a way back after all this is a fantasy world. There must be some sort of magic to send me back. I just need to make it out of here.”
After Yomi’s short meltdown she managed to pull herself together. Yomi stared back at the lizards and salamanders. They looked bigger than what she was used to. Some of them were about 4 meters long while the salamanders were bulkier and the lizards were more streamlined and razor sharp claws.

Yomi could not believe what she was hearing were Rank B monsters. They probably could kill her with just one hit. Yomi turned around and ran away quickly.

Yomi made it back to where she killed the rat. Around where the head was a deep purple crystal that glowed softly. Yomi was extremely curious about it.
Yomi:” Observe!”

Yomi felt a slight jolt in her body and then came a wave of energy that felt euphoric.

Yomi was ecstatic she gained the ability to use magic and her first spell. She couldn’t wait to use it.
Yomi:” Wait I better practice this I don’t want to blow up in a real situation.”
Yomi traced the warm feeling she got from absorbing the crystal to her heart and tugged on it. She could feel so sort of energy travel to her arm and static gather on her arm.
Yomi:” LIGHTNING ORB!”
A purple orb of lightning exploded forth and struck the wall that resulted in an explosion.
Yomi:” That was FUCKING AWESOME!”
Yomi was as giddy as a child with a new toy.

Yomi:”When was I this bloodthirsty? Must be my demon blood wanting me to fight stronger opponents.

Yomi was taken off guard by the sound of screeching and scaping of claws. She quickly turned herself around and prepared for battle. A hoard of large rats were running at her with teeth bared and ready to tear into flesh. Yomi’s blood started boiling an excited smile crept up onto her face. She flexed her claws and started slowly walking that turned into a jog then an all out sprint. Yomi tore into the first few with no fancy moves or techniques just brute strength. Something inside her told her to bathe in their blood. Yomi lost control and just abandoned dodging all together and just shrugged of blows and bites but it served it makes her fight harder. Blood and guts littered the floor. Yomi stood in the middle of the floor covered in blood, guts, and some brain matter. She was breathing heavily as the wounds stung as they reacted to the air.

Yomi was very excited but she couldn’t help but wonder what that notification said about awakening a heritage. She looked over her new skills and wondered what they were. Yomi recalled her earlier status and thought about bringing it up.

Yomi was very happy with all the skills she gained but was concerned about the title wrath and the skill berserk. Yomi’s attention was diverted by another system prompt.

Yomi was concerned about these changes but to get out of this dungeon she needed all the advantages she could get.

{Thunder Call- Calls upon bolts of lightning from the sky to destroy targets}
{Light Blade- A blade made from pure light that can easily slice through enemies and some metals}
{Light ray- A concentrated beam of light that disintegrates undead or other foul creatures}
{Shadow Ball- A ball of pure darkness that explodes upon impact.}
{Devour- an ability that uses shadows to eat intended targets.}

Yomi thought that some of these skills were very useful. Yomi forgot about one thing.
Yomi:” System what can you tell me about the title wrath?”
{The Title-Wrath is given to the one that gives into anger very quickly and it is directed against an innocent person, when it is unduly strong or long-lasting, or when it desires excessive punishment.”
Yomi didn’t know how long she stood in the same spot and thought about this title.
Yomi:” I better get going to find a safe place to awaken.”
Yomi thought about it and decided to go towards the way the rats came from. They must have a nest somewhere and if she can clear it out she could use it as a base so she could explore and have a place to return to. Yomi looked around for any clues about where they came could be living. Yomi paid close attention to the walk maybe they could have scratched the wall or left a bit of hair somewhere. Yomi looked around for a couple of minutes but came up with nothing. Slight movement caught Yomi’s attention. She immediately turned towards it and peaking of a hole between the crystal was a small grey rat with green eyes.
Yomi:” Inspect!”
When Yomi spotted it the rat quickly escaped back into the darkness but Yomi still got the information she wanted.
{Young Cave Rat. These rats are the juvenile of the regular cave rat and are very rare to spot because they spend most of their time near nests and barely leave and use them as an early detection because of their innate stealth.}
Yomi:” System shows me the information you have on cave rats.”
{ Cave Rats. Cave Rats are found in dark places such as caves or dungeons. These creatures usually hunt small or weak prey. All cave rats live in a matriarch system and will follow all orders of a queen.}
Yomi thought about it for awhile and weighed her options she could charge in there and slaughter everything in her path but she doesn’t know how many are in there. A sudden idea struck her what if she set fire to the entrance and smoke them out that way she didn’t damage the structure or destroy any useful item that could potentially be there. Yomi’s plan began to take form she should narrow off the entrance and make sure they don’t surround her. Yomi heavenly stomped the ground.
Yomi:” EARTH WALL!”
Large walls of solid earth rose around the entrance so all the rats would have to run at her in a straight line making them easier to kill. She then gathered large amounts of magic into both of her palms and ignited a fireball above them. As she gathered more magic the flames began to darken from a light orange to a deep crimson. A maniacal grin made its way onto her face she would thoroughly enjoy wiping them out. Yomi thought about how she should learn to control her demon blood.
Yomi:” FIREBALL!”
The fireball roared as it headed towards the entrance. The heat that radiated from the fireball turned the walls of earth a glowing orange. The fireball struck the entrance and exploded into an inferno.
Yomi:” Good thing the fire only stayed at the entrance or that would have been really bad.”
Screeches of anguish and anger came from the hole. Yomi knew that the battle was on.
Hundreds of Cave rats poured out of the flaming hole some of them were horribly burned, others faces were melted. Most of the rats were in panic but they could only run in a straight light right towards Yomi. Yomi wanted to try some of her magic on these lower level opponents. She began to gather lightning in her left hand and darkness in her right hand. She slowly brought both of her hands together. The magic started to destabilize but then it slowly started to merge. It slowly started turning the darkness from a shade of black until it turned a tinge of purple with purple lightning arcs jumped from it. Yomi threw the orb towards the rats.
Yomi:” Lightning and shadow combination- False Darkness!”
The orb exploded ending all life in the vicinity. The shadows devoured all life while the lightning incinerated all it touched. Yomi was astonished she didn’t think that would really work. Yomi started to cackle.
Yomi.” HAHAHAHAH THIS IS GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN!”
Yomi felt her body get tired. She must have used up most of her mana combining spells.
Yomi just when with what she knew after that good old punches and kicks. Yomi threw a solid right punch crushing a rats jaw and ducked under a rat that tried that to tear out her throat. Then she unleashed a flurry of kicks that destroyed all in her path. Covered in all that blood and the rush of adrenaline slowly made her lose her senses.

Yomi’s eyes lost their iris and her sclera turned grey. Her battle style went from graceful leaf in the wind to reckless bull. All her attack crushed her enemies splattering them against the wall. She even started grappling the rats slamming the ones she caught in her grasp against those who tried to escape. She subconsciously started directing mana into her muscles, bones and tendons. Her physical strength skyrocketed that began to shatter the rocks she hit with her fist or legs. Due to her recklessness the rat began to scratch and bite her spilling her blood. The number of rats began to dwindle as yomi kept slaughtering them
