Prologue - Bloodline

Prologue - Bloodline

1000 years ago…

A young man was walking down the newly made road, heading towards the Nova Base to turn in his research on the Pokémon of the Ardian Region. There weren’t many new Pokémon to be discovered but he was sure there were some.

He smiled, it was enough, he’d earned his sixth star. To celebrate, he went to rest at his home. A commotion started up, “The new batch is coming!” he heard. He never was one to watch the new arrivals, but this time, he did.

As he traveled to the dock, the man thought through the plans he had made for the rest of the day, and for the next day.

He arrived at the dock when—his heart skipped a beat. He had never met such a beautiful woman.

Well he supposed, he had not seen one in a while, other than Madame Judy of course. She was the town's cook, over 45(don’t tell her he thought that),and very married.

But that was beside the point. He approached the boat, helped unload her belongings and carried them to her dwelling.”Thank you, I never would have been able to carry all that myself! My name is Helen, what’s yours?”

Shock, that was what it felt like. Was she talking to him? He quickly looked around. He was the only one around. Timidly, he managed to mumble, ”Umm… My name is Carris.”

“Carris? Did I hear that right?” He nodded shyly. “You’re a shy one, aren’t you. I like shy people, mostly because the loud ones are idiots and won’t shut up.” She giggled.

Carris blinked, why was she talking to him? She didn’t even know him. It didn’t matter that she lived next door.

“So Carris, where do you live?” He stood there, frozen, like a rattata waiting for the fearow to pass. “Carr? Carry? Ris? Can I call you Carry, I like that one.” Carris, known as Carry to Helen, blurted out, “Yes!”

“Okayyy… So where did you say you lived?” He silently pointed.

Years later, Carris and Helen married. Carris had become an eight star researcher, the highest in the entire town. And Helen, affectionately known as Hel by “Carry”, had become the town seamstress.

They were out in the fields picnicking and having a great time, when a storm started. They quickly packed up and hurried back, or at least tried to. Helen was pregnant, they quickly realized and abandoned everything.

An Alpha appeared, the most dangerous of them all, the true Alpha of the Fields, Raikou. “Go!” Carris shouted at Helen, urging her to continue on. She kept running as Carris turned to face the Alpha of the Fields.

Raikou dashed in for a quick kill. What the Beast did not expect was for the human to block. As Raikou warily circled the human it observed that the hair had changed to a deep blue. When Raikou saw the glowing brown eyes, it roared, going on the offense.

An intense combat ensued. Only one thing was apparent. Carris was losing. The hours passed, and when Carris was finally too tired to continue, the Alpha of the Fields stepped back, and nodded.

Another Alpha appeared. It spoke into Carris’ mind, saying, “You fought well, rest in peace, Child of Aura, you are the progenitor of the newest Bloodline, the Ardian. Better known amongst my kind as, The Bloodline of Aura.”
