Merging the orb with the system, Sheehan didn't understand what that would result in. He had used the system since he had become an awakened in his previous world and this was the first time he had seen such a thing happening with an item.
He was confused but still chose to accept and let the Legacy Orb be merged with the system to see what would happen. As he excitedly Accepted the merging of Legacy Orb he saw a new message.
[Synchronisation In Process]
Sheehan sighed after not being able to find instantly what the Legacy orb did, He waited but the process was quite slow. After some time he closed the system window as it was too boring to just keep staring at it. He turned his attention to other things...
Sunlight streamed into his room from the window, thus he thought that it would be better to get some fresh air. The previous owner of this body had shut himself in his room for many days before Sheehan possessed his body, thus it felt sore all over.
He got out of the room and walked towards the kitchen... There were only a few servants in the mansion but he didn't see anybody until he reached the kitchen. A lady was cooking some food there... Martha, The cook of the mansion, had worked as a nanny as well for Sheehan and his brothers. She was the most senior employee of the mansion and someone respected by everyone.
" Young Master, You are awake, Oh thank goodness you came out of your room." She seemed genuinely happy after seeing Sheehan come out of his room.
" I am done mourning, It seems," Sheehan replied and then added, " Could you prepare something delicious? I feel like eating a lot today."
He wanted to try eating something delicious after what he had been through before coming to this world. Dungeons were not so accommodating, He hadn't eaten a proper meal in peace when he was inside there for months.
Martha quickly got to work to prepare the meal for Sheehan.
" Young Master, A Letter came from the capital yesterday."
Another servant approached him, A middle-aged man, Henry, The right-hand man of Sheehan's father came to the dining room. He brought a letter and presented it to Sheehan...
" It's from Lord Ricko, The Swordmaster who was the comrade of your father in the war."
Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.
Sheehan took the letter and opened the envelope, The letter inside was filled with words of sympathy and an offer to come to the capital. Ricko who was a sword master just like his father and also a family friend offered to take Sheehan under his care until he became an adult. He offered to teach him swordsmanship...
" Henry, Write back to lord Ricko that I can't go to the capital, Politely decline his offer."
He didn't have to learn swordsmanship, He already was a B-ranked swordsman when it came to skills. Henry nodded and took the letter with him to write a response according to that.
"Was It alright to do that?" Martha spoke as She brought his breakfast which was pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausages. Although It was the favourite breakfast of Sheehan Everhart.
"I don't need a mentor for now," That's all he said as he started his breakfast.
Sheehan quickly finished the breakfast and left the mansion to walk in the garden which was filled with flowers and even some herbal plants. He sat beneath the shade of the only tree that was there, It was both peaceful and comfortable which is exactly what didn't feel right. Sheehan was a man of action, always raiding dungeons and fighting monsters without any care for the world. Thus, a peaceful life such as this didn't suit him at all.
'In this life, Can I reach S rank?' He thought as he got up.
He walked towards a certain part of the mansion that had been left alone for a long time since the people who used the place were not present in the mansion for a long time. Sheehan opened the doors to the training room which looked like an Armory with a fighting arena in the middle of it. There were all kinds of weapons lined up in front of him and even the armour left behind as heritage.
However, Every weapon was just normal... There was nothing special about them like a magical enhancement. They were just plain and sturdy weapons.
Sheehan picked up a long sword which was the lightest weapon but still felt heavy. Sheehan's physical stats were weak compared to an average kid of his age. He decided the first thing he should do was to get all of his stats to the limit of the E Rank. He even hoped to change his class into a warrior as that seemed a better option.
In his previous life, He had obtained a legendary training manual for swordsmen which had helped him quite a lot with his physical training and sword skills. He was going to repeat the same training method in this life to make his current self strong enough. He balanced his body perfectly and grabbed the hilt with both of his hands, using the muscles of his shoulders and lower back he made a perfect swing. He repeated the same motion until he got tired. With each swing, He felt the strain on his shoulder... Once he deemed it enough, He changed his movements to a perfectly aligned vertical swing using his lower back muscle.
Later he did some pushups and other physical exercises to train the upper body, pushing past the point where he felt pain even when moving his body. Sheehan Everhart had never pushed himself this much but this Sheehan knew what he could gain by believing in the efforts. The harder one pushes himself the further he would reach...
After hours of training, Sheehan finally stopped to rest... And noticed that there was a notification from the system.
