‘S-shit!..T-that wasn’t supposed to happen! I’m doomed...’
A woman dressed in light leather armour was sprinting as fast as she can. She was a rookie mercenary from a simple farming village who joined the mercenary guild to help her family. She was currently being chased by a pack of dire wolves, magically empowered beasts standing at 2 to 3 meters tall.
‘T-this was supposed to be a simple escort across the Northern Telrain forest. Why the hell are there dire wolves this far into the south?!’
She was a Rank G mercenary, of course she was scared. Rank G’s are normally as strong as a pack less wolf.
Her mind was was in disarray.
This world, Alnius, has five major continents: Leria to the east, Jhornonn to the south, Carnnon to the west, The Northern Deadlands to the north and finally Lethirc the largest of them all and home to humans was dead centre, connected to the northern continent.
Normally dire wolves stayed by the borders of Lethric and The Northern Deadlands. However this pack seems to be an anomaly as it was farther south than it should be.
Something was wrong. Either there was something powerful attracting them to the Telrian forest, or something driving them away from their territory. Either way, the young mercenary was doomed... unless she could find one of the magic caves within the Telrian forest. These wolves can’t follow her if she hid in one of the magic caves as these caves within the Telrian forest could drive off most magically attributed monsters. It is unknown why but people use these caves as resting points anyway. After all, why not put them into advantage.
‘...There! A cave!’
The mercenary was relieved, this was definitely a magic cave. However, there was an ominous feeling from this one. It was dark almost as if there was a black mist emanating from the deepest parts of the cave.
“A magic cave is a magic cave.” She was not willing to take a chance with the wolves just because it was slightly ominous.
As she entered deeper into the cave she found a decent place to sit down and rest until the wolves retreat. Then as she was about to take a step deeper into the cave...

“Wha-“
She fell into a pitch black darkness deep within the very earth.
----------------------------------------
Within the very earth exists an underground wonder. Adorned with enough gold and gems to shame even the wealthiest of kingdoms. There were murals of times before the world was created, wars between powers beyond comprehension and many more as if it were records of the beginning of time. Here there was no throne, after all if inspected closely, it wasn’t even a human palace. It was a dragon’s layer made by a creature named Manveil, the devourer.
He was sleeping just as he’d done for centuries in the form of a black dragon, dreaming of his time with his father, the god of creation and change, Kronth.
He remembered his birth into the world as a formless power, he was the very first creation of Kronth. He even witnessed the birth of the races which inhabit the world created by his maker. However, the moments he truly cherished, was the time he spent with his father.
Soon after the creation of humans, his father learned of a problem. The humans were being corrupted by an outside god, alien to his realm. Derron, the god governing madness and maliciousness. To Kronth, whom cherished all of his creations, this was unacceptable. He was enraged that the realm-less god would even dare challenge him.
In an attempt to cleanse his world of this evilness, Kronth led an all-out assault on Derron. However in this battle, Kronth was devastated. The humans were not the only ones to be influenced by Derron. Some of his own creations were deformed turned into the most hideous of abominations. Derron turned elves into orcs, halflings into goblins and countless others, bent into nothing but foul and mindless beasts.
However not all had been corrupted. The races of Alnius bore arms and entered battle ready to die heroes. This battle ended in the death of both gods. However, the corruption was not stopped and Menveil was left to the hardest decision of his life. To antagonise his fellow creations of life to prompt their unity and progression. Even should he be scorned and abhorred, in loneliness he shall preserve the world of his father and maker.
Then suddenly he heard screaming and felt something land on his head, providing for a rude awakening.
Opening his eyes the size of a person, he focused it on a single being.
A human, has entered his domain.

I wonder what cushionded my fall I mean all I could see beneath me is a black close to darkness, wait... its moving!
‘Earthquake?!’
Then suddenly I see something.
‘I must be dreaming right?’
After all, I’m currently staring at two gigantic eyes, each the size of a person...
