Startled by sounds of movement around him he awoke, he never was a light sleeper. usually awoke the moment when someone opened his front door, despite his bedroom being in the basement farthest away from said door. He looked around the room noticing he was in his sister's living room. and the cause of his abrupt awakening was his uncle sitting down on the couch next to him. groaning the man sat himself up leaning forward, with his elbows on his knees. holding his head in his hands. a light headache making him groan lightly.
shaking he looked up seeing his uncle fumbling with the tv remote.
The man motions for the remotes and first turns on the tv with one before he turns on the channel with the other. browsing through until he finds the only native all-day news channel.
a woman appears on the screen got dark circles under her eyes, looking like a panda. obviously been crying. with shoulder length hair,a slender upper frame and a face that normally would please anyone that's looking,a beauty that is classified as mature.
As the woman tries to talk she keeps up ending sobbing and taking big breaths of air, in the upper left corner of the screen there is a green bold “Live” written
The man takes a couple second to collect his thoughts before he's able to make out what the woman is saying..
“… approximately over 20 countries are involved and more “hick” and more, are effected every hour. as said before the black clouds and lightning phenomenon is traveling east, “sob”
it's currently above the western part of china”
the man looks at the clock displayed on the screen it's currently 0613. it's only been 6 hours since it all started..
“we do not know why this is happening but we do know that the skies emits lightning that affects the landmass, new mountains are created and “sob” seas are created. due to the abruptness anyone “sob” living near the ocean is advised to seek higher grounds. no matter where u live in the “sobs” world. in fear of tsunamis and other weather phenomena. “
“the clouds that is supposedly causing this is black, emits lightning but no sounds of thunder, it appears that each flash is causing some kind of monster to appear or change of the world landscape. the monster’s that's appeared so far, has been materialised… “sobs” into people houses and are seen as extremely aggressive more are found roaming outside the homes.
we advise people to stay “hick” indoors.
“ we have yet to get a statement from the military but according to local sources regular arms as in guns and rifles have little to no effect on the creatures. what does seem to work “pales and starts sobbing”..
The man looks around it's getting lighter outside. Looking down he’s still wearing a simple white round necked t-shirt and sweatpants. on his feets he got his old trusted mountain shoes on. no socks tough..
The lady on the tv continues: choking them or taking their weapons and use them against the creatures seem to be the most effective way. or blunt weapons. As (sob) i mentioned before the clouds are over western china and seems to be going in a constant speed.
its estimated that the clouds will cover the entire earth within 17 hours.”
that would be approximately one day after the clouds started the man thought to himself.
“as for the many reports of bluescreens reported after successfully killing a monster none has been confirmed as supposedly the owner is the only one to see them. as far as we know. it covers name and numerical status of your individual strengths. but nothing more is confirmed at the moment. “

Standing up the man went to one of the window that is leading to his house. looking around he can see no movements, but the black clouds are still there with flashes going to the ground. He says aloud “ think i'm gonna head right across the street. get some more clothes on me.” his uncle answers “you sure. the tv said to stay indoors”
“nah nothing moving outside and i need a sweater and a jacket to. nothing my sis got fits me. and you barely brought enough for yourself.. “
“hmm okay but i'll lock the door after you and knock when you get back, oh and don't forget your dagger” motioning to where the man had slept.
“you held that thing so hard when you were sleeping so it seemed important”.
picking up the dagger from the couch. checking his shoe laces to be sure they were still on securely the man went to front door.
As he went outside, hearing his uncle locking the door behind him he noticed it was considerable lighter outside. everything was painted in a light grey light. similar to right before the sun comes up. everything seemed so new. he could smell the air taking on the freshness as in after a heavy rain shower. he saw everything in detail. the dew on the grass the tree he had leaned onto and the 5 corpses of the blue grumblings lying in front of his grandma's house. he could hear the alarm still going.
looking around he started walking down the path that lead to the main road. walking in total silence. no sounds except the alarm growing more distant for every step. at the main road he peeked left and right, to the left there where nothing as far as he could see the road. to the right was the same. as he started to walk out onto the road he got more and more nervous.
It was about 30 meter in open view to walk to get to the pathway to his house. he didn't take the “shortcut” this time because he simply walked on habit. when he was 10 meters away from the pathway he heard screaming behind him. startled he looked back, and wished he hadn't.
A large group of the little blue shits were running towards him.
Frozen in place, not knowing what to do he stopped moving. if he went to his own house they would just break through the door or windows and overwhelm him with their numbers. same if he went back to his sister's house only that would lead to more potential victims despite being only one entrance.
“gotta get them away from here at least he thought”
He stood there. contemplating where to run for a few seconds. arrows started dropping from the sky and skidded towards him on the black asphalt. The man started running, he followed the main road then he took a left on the road that went slightly upwards. once he got on the road he looked straight ahead it was a large building only 3 stories tall,the front consisted mostly of cement and large glass windows. the building was built with two of the stories next to a small hill with the 3 story poking up above the small hill it was nestled next too.
as the man was running he chosed the road that was leading upwards and left of the building. knowing he could climb up the gutters from the roof. as he had done many times in the youth. as he was coming to the top of the little hill nearing the gutters. he looked back they had gained on him, the distance were barely a hundred meters. he swiftly went to the closest gutter and started climbing up. he could hear arrows bluntly hitting the cement around him and occasionally a glass window breaking. as he dragged himself over the ledge unto the roof, he crawled a bit more up so they couldn't see him from the ground.
as he lays there he notices he isn't really tired. “must be from the levels, i guess. think i gotta take a look at it sometime”, the man. turns around to face the gutter he just went up. waiting for the little shits. they have to come up one at a time he figures and the next gutter is 50 meters away and around a corner so the little ones cant see it. The man doesnt have to wait long until a small blue hand reaches above the edge of the roof. he quickly slashes the little hand, the owner of the hand quickly withdraws it. he can see numbers popping up above the edge. then a little crash.

it continued a few more times. they tried to climb up, he would slash or at one time kick them back down . he killed 8 of them before they stopped coming..
an hour went by, where all his focus were on the spot they could climb up. as no one had tried to come up for 15 minutes he started getting anxious. he slowly went to the edge and peeked over. he saw them preparing a camp. most likely to starve him out. as they noticed him , 15 of the little blue shits aimed their bows at him. he quickly ducked down. hearing the impact they made on the cement wall made him shiver. he looked across the big roof. trying to figure out a way to get away. as it was the first time he had a chance to look around he noticed a golden light coming out of a acorn sized white marble ball, floating half a meter above the roof 20 meter to the left. he crept closer, the light didn't seem malicious.
as he went closer he noticed a big hole in the roof behind the marble. ignoring the hole he walked closer. standing in the golden light he grabbed the marble with his right hand.
