An old man in heavy black overalls composed himself and walked up to Emelia. “Greetings, Forge Lord. I am Yang Fu, but everyone calls me Uncle Fu.” Uncle Fu smiled at her.
Emelia nodded “Uncle Fu.”
“Come, come! Let me introduce you to my two disciples, Mo Ye and Chu Yan. You two, come, greet our new employer!” Uncle Fu shouted at the boy and girl, which clearly startled them as they jumped and ran to them.
The two stood in front of them, heads lowered. They both looked to be around 14 years old. The boy, Mo Ye, looked like an average boy, yet he had a big build which he had earned from his work in blacksmithing.
The girl, Chu Yan, on the other hand looked very beautiful, her hands where one would usually find calluses were completely dainty.
Emelia put on a confused gaze “Brother, Sister?”
Mo Ye and Chu Yan looked at each other and then at Emelia, then after a couple of seconds they realised what Emelia had asked. “Yes, yes. We are twins.”
Emelia had checked out their bodies and found a blood connection, yet, they looked nothing alike.
Yang Fu saw Emelia's confusion and quickly explained. “This.. Chu Yan was very sick when she was young and fortunately, got a drop of Phoenix Blood which made her body incredibly strong and, of course, very beautiful.” At this comment Chu Yan blushed and looked away.
“Unfortunately, during the procurement of the blood, their parents died and they were left orphaned, until I took them in as my disciples, and as my children.” Mo Ye and Chu Yan’s eyes teared but quickly turned around and walked back towards their work places.
Uncle Fu looked at them for a bit as he slowly composed himself. “Anyway! What does Forge Lord need? We have already acquired most of the materials needed for weapons. Does Lord need a sword, a saber? Perhaps even a hammer?”
“Not yet. Show me what materials have been delivered and then we’ll see what can be made.” Emelia looked at the two who were working on a sword and saber respectively.
“You two, keep working on them. If it becomes orange quality, maybe I will teach you some sword and saber techniques. Lord, follow me to the storage room.” He closed the door behind Emelia and walked to the back room.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
The qualities of of equipment were ordered in the colours that they release when used, green being weak, orange being normal, red being strong, gold being epic, and purple which is of course legendary.
“Here, 1 kg of steel, 10kg of feather ore, 10 kg of lava stone and… 5 kg of charged crystals. We’re currently waiting on--” As he was listing the items a shout was heard.
“Uncle Fu! Uncle Fu! Your Phase Crystal is here!” Uncle Fu looked at Emelia strangely and shrugged.
“Ok well, perfect, no need to wait, the final item is here. I’ll go get it, you can just tell those two if you need something done.” He took off his dirty overalls and briskly walked out. Shouting back at the man. “Dare to shout at me, see if I don’t reduce your pay!”
Emelia chuckled slightly and walked towards the two youths working hard. “You two, do you have any graph paper or the like around?”
Mo Ye jumped at the sudden voice behind him and put a slight bit more force into his strike, breaking the heated the sword in two.
Chu Yan, scared by Mo Ye’s sword breaking in half also broke her own saber.
Emelia stared at the two of them speechlessly. She hesitated before slowly saying. “Well. This is fine too, you can help me make something much more advanced, and in the process, I’ll teach you a bit.”
“I’ll get the paper.” Chu Yan said very slowly, holding a sob in. “I… I’ll get some tools.” Mo Ye held his head down. They both ran out of the forgery together, leaving Emelia staring at their backs.
She stood on the spot awkwardly, her gaze slowly floated towards the sword and saber. “Well, I suppose I’ll compensate them.”
She raised her hand, and as she did that, the two weapons floated towards her and began to glow red, even turning slightly viscous.
The four broken parts slowly floated towards each other and reconnected. Emelia hesitated and ultimately decided to add a small enchantment to it.
This should make it a couple of grades higher than it should have been.
The two items glowing in orange floated back onto the two workbenches and quietly laid down.
The door to the forgery opened and Uncle Fu, Mo Ye and Chu Yan walked inside.
Uncle Fu walked over to the workbenches and looked at the sword and saber which had reconnected. “Broken? If this is broken in your eyes, what have you been doing all these years?!” Uncle Fu looked at them with disappointment and the two ran over to him and stared at the two weapons which had been reconnected.
“Th.. This.. Uncle Fu, I..” He looked over at Emelia whose body was half hidden by the door to the storage room. He let out a big smile and rubbed his neck. “Sorry Uncle Fu.. I think I drank a little too much of that Healing Rum you gave me…”
Chu Yan had already taken her saber to her workbench and checked it out completely. She let out a big smile towards Emelia and ran to her.
“Here you go.” She handed a pencil and paper to Emelia and ran back to her bench and cleared it.
“Mhm, alright, Uncle Fu, go get all of the materials and bring them here. Chu Yan, I’m going to draw something here, you must follow all the instructions I’ve written down, and lastly, Mo Ye, you will forge the basic components.” Emelia quickly ordered them.
Uncle Fu wanted to say something but just nodded and walked to the storage room.
Chu Yan walked over to Emelia and saw her drawing a strange door handle and writing some points about it.
“Now, cut and purify the ores according to this, it has to be exact. There can be no room for mistakes. If there is a mistake, throw it away. Got it?” Emelia stressed as she looked at Chu Yan.
Chu Yan cutely nodded and ran over to Uncle Fu to help him.
Mo Ye began to prepare his equipment as Emelia approached him. “We will be working on the forging together, you will create the basic things, and I will finish it.” Mo Ye nodded and put the sword he was working on to the side.
