"Sir Edmund!"
"Hello Cadets. It's great to see you all again."
Ari, Alma, and Leon each greeted Sir Edmund. Even though it was only for a short while, Ari felt like it had been a long time since he last saw Sir Edmund. Ari had a positive view of Sir Edmund, especially because he was one of the few people who had been kind to Ari.
"So, have you all obtained the Power Seed and Technique Book?"
"We haven't gott...mmphhhh!"
"Hahahhaha, that's right, I almost forgot about the contract for the cadets.
It feels like it's been a long time since I last bound a magic contract like that.
Come along, I will take you directly to where you can obtain both."
With their mouths sealed due to the effects of the magic contract, Ari and his two friends could only obediently follow Sir Edmund. He led the three young cadets to the other side of the main building, then down to the underground chamber where there was a large library on one side and a storage room on the other.
"Alright, my young cadets.
On your left side is the Ancient Knight Library, the place where all the knowledge of the knights is stored.
On your right side is the Creation Room where craftsmen work for the knights to create various useful items.
You can obtain Power Seeds and Technique Books in both of these places."
Ari, Alma, and Leon were amazed to see the two places that could be considered as scenes from beyond their wildest fantasies.
The Knight Library is a very vast, long, and deep place. Hundreds of shelves full of books from different eras and times are neatly lined up inside this library. The floor where Ari and his friends are is the highest floor, which also serves as the ground floor and the main hall of the library. From this floor, visitors can see the entire depth of the library.
Ari and his two friends immediately entered the Knight Library and approached the library reception desk located in front of the barrier between the ground floor and the next floor. As soon as they arrived at the reception desk, a receptionist woman stood up and welcomed the three of them warmly.
"Welcome to the Knight Library.
How can I assist you?"
"We have come to retrieve Technique Books for novice cadets."
"Alright, please wait a moment."
The receptionist woman then went to a room of bookshelves next to the reception desk, took some books from each shelf, and then approached another bookshelf and took some more books. When the receptionist woman returned, she was carrying a stack of books taller than herself.
The receptionist woman then neatly arranged the stack of books she brought on the reception desk into two rows, each consisting of books on different weapons.
"Thank you for waiting.
This is the Technique Book that you can choose as a new cadet.
Let me explain a little, these books are basic level books, divided based on the most common weapons used by knights, which need to be mastered by all knights before they learn higher-level techniques.
As for the levels of techniques, they can be divided into five levels: Basic, Beginner, Intermediate, Expert, and Master. It is highly recommended for knights to master at least one technique at each level before learning techniques at the next level."
Alma and Leon looked amazed and confused, they couldn't decide which book they would study. They didn't even understand what type of weapon they wanted to master.
Meanwhile, Ari confidently picked up the Technique Book titled "Basic Sword and Shield Techniques." Ari gazed at the book with admiration and longing, as if this book was something he had been eagerly anticipating for a long time.
"Are you sure you want to choose that book, Ari? Don't you want to see other books?"
"No need, Leon. Since the beginning of enrolling in the knight academy, I knew that I wanted to be a knight who wields a shield and sword on the battlefield."
Alma and Leon looked surprised and impressed by Ari's decision. They had never really discussed what kind of knight they wanted to be, considering it as something that only needed to be discussed in their classes and education, not in their friendship circle.

"So, what weapon will you choose, Leon?"
"I'm not sure, Alma. I do have an idea of the knight I want to be, but now I feel uncertain."
"Hmm, I see. Well, I'll follow what Ari did and stick to what I've imagined."
Alma then picked up a book titled "Basic Single Sword Techniques" and tried to fit it into his pants pocket, which turned out to be too small to hold a book of that size.
Seeing her two friends who had chosen books according to their own visions, Leon shyly picked up a book for herself titled "Basic Spear Techniques."
"Thank you for choosing books for yourselves. I hope you can become great knights in the future."
The receptionist woman bid them farewell and then neatly rearranged all the books she had taken out, returning them to their original places. Meanwhile, Ari and his two friends left the library, heading towards the Creation Room as their next destination.
The Creation Room looks completely different from the Knight's Library. The main space appears almost empty except for a long reception desk guarded by a stern-faced man, and a few long sofas for visitors to wait on. The three of them quickly approached the reception desk and were greeted with a stern look from the receptionist.
"Welcome. Can I help you?"
"Uh... we're new cadets. We're here to-"
"Oh, Power Seed. Wait here."
Alma could only stay silent, closing his mouth and nodding obediently, not daring to speak more for fear of the stern gaze from the receptionist. The receptionist went into a room behind the reception area, and then came out with three Power Seeds of different colors, placing them on the table.
"These are the three types of Power Seeds available for knights.
They will all strengthen your STR status, as it is the basic and main status for knights.
Each of you must choose one of these three Power Seeds.
The red one will enhance STR and AGI.
The green one will enhance STR and DEX.
The yellow one will enhance STR and CON.
If you happen to choose the same type, I will fetch more from the storage room."
Ari confidently picked up the yellow Power Seed, once again impressing Alma and Leon. However, this time they didn't ask because they had already guessed the reason why Ari could make a choice so quickly.
This time, Leon acted swiftly and chose the red Power Seed, followed by Alma who chose the green Power Seed. The receptionist looked at the three of them suspiciously.
"You didn't choose because I only brought out three Power Seeds, right? I already said that if you want the same color Power Seed, I can get more from the storage room."
"No sir, I believe we have chosen our Power Seeds correctly. Especially for Ari and Leon, they seem very confident in their choices."
"You're just cadets. Hmph! Alright, to use your Power Seed, simply stick it in the middle of your chest and let the Power Seed absorb into your body. You will feel the effects tomorrow."
The male receptionist then gave a dismissive hand gesture, as if these three young cadets had already taken up too much of his valuable time. Ari and Leon quickly turned and walked out, but Alma remained standing in her place with a puzzled look on her face.
"What will happen after the Power Seed seeps in, sir? What should we do next so that we can feel its effects?"
"Try not to scream too loudly. Hehehe."
The receptionist gave a wicked smile, making Alma's hair stand on end, prompting her to quickly follow her two friends who had already left the Creation Room.
After Alma exited the Creation Room, the three of them were once again greeted by Sir Edmund, who then guided them out of the underground chamber. On the way out, Ari suddenly remembered something and immediately asked Sir Edmund about it.
"Excuse me, Sir Edmund. I want to ask, why weren't there any new cadets following us on the way down to the underground chamber? How will other cadets get all their needs?"
"Good question, Cadet. Hahahaha.
First, new cadets can only descend to the underground chamber if guided by a knight or instructor.
The three of you happen to have caught my attention, so I decided to find and bring you to the underground chamber as soon as possible. Other cadets trying to follow us won't be able to enter the underground chamber. The path to the underground chamber will be closed to them.
Second, other cadets can try to find other instructors or knights assigned to patrol around the Knight Academy. They can ask to be taken to the underground chamber by those instructors or knights."
"Is this a form of test for the cadets, Sir Edmund?"
"Every day you spend in this academy and in the outside world is a test, young cadets. Remember that well, and you will become great knights in the future."
It didn't take long for the three of them to exit the underground chamber. Sir Edmund then bid them farewell before leaving them to return to their dormitory room. Ari, Alma, and Leon then hurried back to their dormitory rooms, without encountering Flowy at all, and immediately entered their respective rooms.
Alone in his room, Ari quickly opened the Technique Book and began reading it. Ari spent the rest of the day reading the entire contents of the Technique Book until he finished it. When night fell and it was time to sleep, Ari was still thinking about what he had just read.
The Technique Book titled "Basic Sword and Shield Skills" contained five basic techniques of sword and shield usage, one attacking technique, two defensive techniques, and two counter techniques.
Each movement seemed simple to Ari, just swinging the sword and positioning the shield correctly to achieve the desired results.
"These five techniques seem easy. I should try them out tomorrow and maybe I'll be able to choose a book with a higher level."
Satisfied with completing his book, Ari then took out his yellow Power Seed. Ari first unbuttoned his clothes, leaving his upper body exposed and only wearing his pants, before placing the Power Seed in the middle of his chest.
Magically, the Power Seed seeped into Ari's body, slowly merging with him until it completely entered his body.
After the Power Seed seeped in, Ari tried to feel the changes in his body but didn't see any difference. Ari couldn't even feel anything in his chest, as if the Power Seed that had just seeped into his body was just a silly illusion.
Confused, Ari then thought about leaving his room and asking his two friends if they had tried their Power Seeds themselves before Ari felt something. A pull, coming from inside his chest, suddenly appeared and gradually became stronger. It was as if there were hundreds of strings tied inside his chest, pulling all his bones and organs inward.
The pain slowly began to attack from within, unavoidable and unrelenting. The only thing Ari could do was scream as loudly as possible.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
