Sarin began his journey. Mounted on his beautiful carriage that cost him 20 pis and had two mysterious passengers.
"Where's the city of Harlin anyway? That guy's name is Harlin, and the city's name is Harlin. Is he the owner of the city?" he thought.
"May I ask? Which direction is the city of Harlin?" Sarin inquired.
"Do you guys have a map or something?" he added.
The two mysterious passengers did not know how to answer. They didn't know exactly where the city was and had left their map somewhere. They decided to ask for a ride, thinking this merchant might know, and to their surprise, he agreed.
"West," the young girl replied. "go west," she added.
"West, huh? I haven't gone there yet. Well, we're heading in the right direction, so it'll be straight ahead," Sarin thought to himself.
Sarin then realized something. "If I haven't gone there yet, then I'll have new products. Also, it might be a long journey, but with these two people as my guards, nothing bad will happen, right? After all, they seem pretty strong," he remembered that one night.
...
Loud gruntings broke the silence in a dense forest. Some beasts and animals ran away from the source, scared. In this world, survival is everything. Even if it means being a coward hiding in a bush. Surviving means everything. You can't do anything when you're dead.
"Aaaarhhg," a loud shout came from beneath the large body of a three-eyed wolf. Reid survived. "A human with no system, I am the strongest, really."
After the fight with the wolf, Reid woke up beneath the large body of the wolf, using all his strength to push it away. This took a while; not only was he exhausted, but he also looked dead with his destroyed right shoulder. Now he only used one of his arms to push the wolf's body. After a while, he could finally breathe the fresh air.
"I was right, in the end," he said in a low voice, his face painted with blood, with a slight smile. "I could take him," he laughed, but no sound escaped from his mouth. Little by little, his strength faded away.
...
Reid jolted awake, another nightmare, he thought. His forehead was full of sweat. He was still lying on the ground beside the wolf's body. After composing himself, he stood and carried his own body to the nearest tree. There he sat and rested.
He looked at his wounds and shrugged. "At this rate, I'll die from loss of blood." With all remaining strength, Reid forced himself to go towards the river that is behind him. He fell two times. At first, he had the strength to get back up, but at the second fall, he crawl his way towards the river.
He sat beside the river after drinking and cleaning his wounds. The one in his right shoulder is dangerous. He decided to use his shorts and tie his shoulder to close the wound and prevent blood loss. As he couldn't use his right arm, he used his mouth and left arm for it.
...
"Are you guys hungry?" Sarin asked his two passengers. "Food is available for 1 gul," he said.
"We don't need it," the young girl's voice resounded.
They could've just hunted for food when we stop to camp outside. That way, they wouldn't waste money on food. Also, they don't have enough money.
"Okay," Sarin replied with a bit of disappointment. "Are you two warriors?" he asked. "If you are, then I could cook food for you in exchange for valuable beast materials," he added. 'What?! How greedy can this guy be?' the young girl thought.

"No, thank you," she rejected the merchant's offer.
"Too bad," Sarin replied without hiding his disappointment. Although he could get money from being their service, he could also get them to hunt monsters. That way, he could collect materials more efficiently.
Silence once again befell the traveling carriage. Sarin always wondered why those two stayed silent. Not uttering a single word. Didn't they know each other? What a weird duo, he took a glance at the two inside the carriage.
Silence was broken by the sudden appearance of a berserk rock boar. It was about the size of the carriage. It then looked at Sarin with its bloodshot eyes, its tusks were menacing and scary.
Sarin was about to bring his sword out when two people shot out from the carriage...
It was an easy battle. It didn't even last 10 minutes, and the boar was no more. "Considering that it's enhanced due to the berserk state, these two are strong," Sarin said.
....
The sun had already sunk below the horizon. Casting long shadows through the forest as Reid struggled to make a fire using only his feet and left hand. Despite his hunger, he knew he had food at hand.
"Right," he muttered, approaching the wolf's lifeless body. Retrieving his divine sword from its eye sockets, he dragged the carcass toward the fire.
Yet, another problem emerged.
"How am I going to cook this?" he pondered aloud, eyeing his own body and then the wolf's. After a moment's consideration. He resorted to tearing chunks of meat from the hide with his teeth and jaw. Roasting them over the fire with a stick he found nearby. It was a crude method, but it sufficed.
As he ate, Reid's gaze fell upon the wolf's claws and teeth, sparking a realization. Using the unexpectedly sharp claws. He carefully separated the skin from the meat, beginning with a hole he had made in its ribs.
"Why didn't I think of this earlier, instead of biting it with my teeth?" he wondered aloud, slicing the skin away from the meat.
After some time, Reid had collected several pieces of wolf skin, which he hung beside the tree to dry. "They may come in handy tomorrow," he muttered, scraping the fats from some of the pieces. He also hung some meat to smoke over the fire before finally settling down to sleep.
....
Outside, three figures camped around a fire, roasting a large chunk of meat. The aroma of fats and flavor wafted through the air, potentially attracting monsters. For Sarin, more monster simply means more product.
Sarin offered the meat to his two passengers. He inquired about their journey's purpose. They remained silent, prompting Sarin to reflect on their possible motives. Perhaps they sought something or someone. Or to complete a mission, or they were on a journey to become a Brave. Or perhaps they already were.
As Sarin finished his meal, he cleaned up and retired to his carriage for the night.
...
The following morning, Reid is shock. He find some of his wounds already healed, and his right arm showing signs of improvement. His body seemed to be regenerating at an accelerated rate, a welcome discovery.
"Is this the blessed body of a king?" he grinned, hearing laughter echo in his mind. After cleaning his wounds and retying his shorts around his shoulder. Reid fashioned a breakfast from the wolf's meat and used the dried skin as clothing and a bag.
Feeling stronger, Reid pondered his memories of Earth. Longing for his family but resigned to his current circumstances. Survival was paramount, and he couldn't afford to dwell on sadness or loneliness.
Gazing at the wolf's corpse. Reid reflected on their encounter and began to extract usable bones. This creature was from another world, its bones tougher than those of Earth wolves.
After a while, Reid had collected the ribs and leg bones, which he deemed useful.
After packing his belongings and meats into his makeshift bag. He tied the bones behind his back. Reid, adorned with a robe made of wolf's hide. Takes his divine sword stick and continued his journey downstream.
.....
Meanwhile, Sarin and his passengers had resumed their journey before sunrise. Swiftly packing their belongings into the carriage's storage space. As the day passed, they made good time, only realizing the setting sun when it was almost too late. Sarin decided to stop at a small town called Liuript for the night. Securing lodging and arrangements for his carriage and horse. The passengers disembarked to explore the town.
.....
Reid, on the other hand, continued following the river downstream. Oblivious to the absence of towns along his path.
"The sun is setting I should make a fire," he mused to himself, wiping sweat from his forehead with his right hand. He was surprised to find that he could now use his right hand, albeit with some lingering pain.
"How is this possible? What monstrous regenerative ability." he marveled as he untied the shorts from his shoulder. His eyes widened in shock as he inspected his wounds from the wolf's fangs. They had completely healed, leaving only scars behind.
"Did I level up?" Reid wondered aloud, a smile slowly spreading across his face. With that, he gathered some twigs and started a fire.
