It's been 3 days since the fight between Reid and the wolf. He's been continuing his journey downstream, using the sharp claws of the wolf. He chipped his divine sword and made a point at its end. With that, he now has a short spear. Reid has realized that he's still weak, although he has the body of a king; it's still not enough. He needs stamina and power. He decided to train his body, which he called the 'earthen body foundation'. In the morning, Reid trained like a madman, doing push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups using the tree branch. Learning how to throw his spear, to thrust, and run through the rough terrain of the forest. When the sun rises, he'll begin his journey. When the sun rises, he'll begin his journey. At night, he rests. Or he thinks of a way to improve his survival rate. He imagines fighting different monsters. Observing the best way to victory.
Food is not that hard to find now. Reid targets weak monsters as his prey. This enhances his hunting ability and provides food. Reid is becoming stronger. Stronger than what he could've achieved on Earth; this world forces him to be strong to survive.
Reid, a normal high school student, has friends and family, of course. His grades are average. Reid said he wasn't ready for this world, and he still has dreams that he wants to chase. But he still doesn't know what that dream is; sometimes, he just wants to live. . He doesn't know what to do in his life. That night, Reid was taking a walk to ease his mind from his nightmare that he now has forgotten. He thought, what if I did whatever I want? Can they do something? Of course, they can't; my own life is mine after all. That night should be the beginning of how he will change his life. But, it did. He got transported to another world...
His life on Earth is not that bad; he has already put it in the back of his mind. It was just that his life in this new world is more interesting for him. A world that drives him crazy, a world that pushes him to his limit, breaking the records of his past. A world where he could do whatever he wanted, without anyone taking control of his life. A world where he could live the way he wants. That was the world that he dreamed of, a world of freedom.
A fire burned bright in the dark forest. In there sat a young man, Reid. He looked at the burning blaze, but his attention is spread to his surroundings. He is training his mind.
The crackling sound of burning woods echoes through the serene night. Reid, still looking at the fire, closed his eyes. There he starts the training for his second foundation, the heavenly foundation. Though it was all made up by him, no one could say that his training doesn't improve his ability. His earthen foundation, where he trains his mortal body, shows considerable gains. Reid's long, skinny body was replaced by a muscular one. The muscles are full of protein. He got them while living in the forest. He only has gains.
"This heavenly foundation will enhance my mind, spirit, and senses to their peak. It will make me hear, see, and smell from a thousand miles. The earthen body will forge my body like a sword, a weapon. An indestructible vessel for my strong spirit," Reid thought with a grin.
Although all this sounds like a joke or a delusion of a kid. Reid still complies with his training; his aim is to ascend the mortal realm.
Reid's right ear twitches; in that direction, He heard a faint rustling sound. It should be covered by the sound of the crackling flames, but Reid still hears it. With his extreme focus, he could feel everything within 2 meters. The motion of the fire, the swaying trees, grass, the little creatures crawling. Reid, the king of this forest, has made his own domain.

A shadow figure passes behind one tree after the other. The rustling leaves and the bush go with it, as does the cold forest breeze. A huffing sound of human. Reid holding his divine sword that is now converted to a spear, is running for his life...
"What the fudge is that?" Reid whisper under his panting. ' i've been running for a while now, that sht still following me with that massive ass body' he said.
Reid is using the narrow trees to escape the creature that is on his tail. It is something big, that's why he thought to use the narrow gap between the tees. The persistent creature on his tail demolish everything in its path. Not even slowing a little bit.
It was this morning. Reid is walking downstream when he get a sight of a black silhouette far from him. There, he walked behind the trees. Away from the riverside, to avoid unwanted attention. When he got closer, cold sweat run through his back. The thing on the river is a towering monster taller than the trees. Its a massive bear, with spikes protruding in its body. Its looks tough and heavy as it produce a scratching sound.
No voice escaped from Reid's throat, he frozen. Although behind the trees, he couldn't shake the feeling of intense fear. It takes a huge toll in his mind to calm himself. After that he tried to escaped the area, and failed miserably. The crunching sounds of dried leaves got the monster's attention. It turned his head to look at where the sounds came from. Reid ran away, without a care.
Reid squeeze every bit of energy from his body to outrun this massive beast. He can't let it get closer. He controlled his breath. Liked how he used the surroundings in his fight with the wolf. He uses the root from the ground to push himself forward. He chose to go through the narrow gap between the trees hoping it to stall a little bit of time.
....
After an hour of tense silence, Reid finally dared to draw a ragged breath, crouching behind a massive rock beside the river. The monstrous beast was nowhere in sight.
"Is it gone? Did it leave?" His mind raced as he scanned the surroundings, finding no trace of the enormous bear that had nearly ended his life. A relieved sigh escaped his lips. "Maybe it got tired and left."
But before he could fully relax, a low rumbling sound shattered the stillness. Reacting on instinct, Reid dove forward just as a colossal shadow loomed overhead, the once-massive rock now obliterated by an unseen force. The forest echoed with the deafening roar of an unseen threat.
"That... that wasn't a bear?" Reid's voice wavered, his expression darkening with grim realization. Without hesitation, he sprang into action, his legs carrying him away from the looming danger. Doubts gnawed at his mind. "Can I really escape? How can there be such a monster? I didn't even notice its massive form until now."
His heart raced, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he sprinted through the forest, each step bringing him farther from the unknown terror that pursued him. A chill wind swept through the air, momentarily clearing the dust to reveal the towering figure of the monstrous creature. "Is that... a troll?" Reid muttered under his breath, his pulse quickening with fear.
Refusing to look back, Reid pressed onward, his panic mounting with each passing moment. Suddenly, the ground trembled beneath him, and Reid stumbled, his eyes widening in horror as he beheld the gruesome spectacle before him—a brutal clash between two titanic adversaries, the troll and the bear, locked in a deadly struggle.
As the battle raged on, Reid found himself frozen in place, his body paralyzed by fear. He watched in stunned silence as the troll and the bear exchanged savage blows, each strike sending shockwaves through the earth. The ferocity of their combat was beyond anything he had ever witnessed.
Eventually, the tide of battle turned, and with a final, thunderous blow, the troll emerged victorious, its wounds miraculously healing before Reid's astonished eyes. Knowing he stood no chance against such a formidable foe, Reid turned and fled, his heart pounding in his chest as he raced through the forest, desperate to put as much distance between himself and the scene of carnage as possible.
But just as he thought he had escaped, tragedy struck. Without warning, a massive boulder crashed down upon him, sending him hurtling through the air in a whirlwind of agony and darkness.
...
...
In the wake of the bloody onslaught, Reid lay broken and battered, his body twisted and mangled beside the crimson-stained boulder. As consciousness faded and darkness threatened to consume him, he fought to cling to life, his spirit engulfed in a storm of violent emotions—hatred, anger, and a burning desire for vengeance.
Through the haze of pain and despair, Reid's gaze fell upon a distant flicker of light, a solitary flame dancing in the darkness. With what little strength remained, he dragged his battered body toward it, leaving behind a trail of crimson blood as he crawled towards the setting sun.
