King Yama's Treasury
Princess Xue Er

Princess Xue Er

She felt as though she had travelled through a vacuum the instant she stepped through the door. She was in a very large hall that was made of stone, wood and bricks, but that didn't diminish its beauty in the least. The hall was so broad that she couldn't determine how big it was. The hall was giving very ancient vibes.

The next thing she knew, she was surrounded by a bloodthirsty and icy aura. She took a glance around and saw the things that made her heart skip a beat. There were bookshelves with some books emitting Sanskrit words, weapon stands with weapons radiating a blood-thirsty aura, capsules with beasts in slumber and amours sealed releasing a terrifying aura, and shelves with pill bottles and transparent glass bottles with various types of liquids spewing a beautiful fragrance. She was enthralled by what she was seeing, since she could tell these objects were of the greatest quality and rank. As she was complimenting these treasures, a heavenly voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Welcome!"

She shifted her gaze in the direction of the voice.

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

She expected to encounter some dreadful Devil or Diablo as the proprietor of this place, since she had seen the exterior aspect of this place and had already labeled it "Devil Liar", but instead she saw an exceptionally handsome man. She could confidently say that he is the most handsome man in the world.

He was 6 ft. tall and was dressed in a black and white robe. His skin was snow-white. His face was as clean as jade, and his eyes were as black and unfathomably deep as the abyss. His brows were as sharp as a sword, a divine light flashed in his eyes, and his lips rose into a beautiful bright smile. He carries himself with grace and elegance. His jet-black hair hung down to his waist. He appeared to be an immortal in the mortal world.

Many magical things were circling the person, including Sanskrit phrases, zigzag lines, and complicated spherical plates. She couldn't cultivate, but she could sense her body was strengthening simply by looking at them, and she felt very invigorated. She couldn't figure out what those strange things were, so she ignored them. He was standing behind the reception desk on which a kettle with two tea cups, a pen and some books were placed. The reception desk was in the center of the hall, almost 30 meters distant, and she felt as if her eyes had skipped it while she was looking around. The reception desk was made of wood and stone.

"Lady, you look tense and conflicted; why don't you sit down and explain to me your problem; I may be able to assist you," he asked. She couldn't tell which language he was speaking in, but she understood everything he said. Before she could say anything, her body began to move on its own, as if what he said was an unavoidable decree.

She sat on the chair in front of the reception counter. He set the tea cup in front of her and began pouring the tea. The pleasant scent wafted out as soon as the glass was filled with tea. A slight humming sound could be heard coming from the tea. His overall attitude was that of a refined scholar. He then sat down and made himself a cup of tea. He took a sip and said:

"Please drink."

He was clearly trying to convince her that the tea was not poisoned. She also had the impression that the person in front of her had no evil intentions. If he wanted to kill her, he could simply do it the moment she had entered. His behavior and looks also persuaded her and lowered her defenses, since humans are creatures that are always drawn to beauty.

"Thank, thank you" She spoke nervously as she moved the tea cup closer to her mouth.

"No Problem", he replied.

She took an anxious mouthful of tea and swallowed it down. Her taste buds felt like they had exploded owing to the delicious flavor of the tea. She'd never had more delectable tea than this. Then she felt her meridians itching. When she examined attentively, the meridians which had been shattered, were mending and that all the impurities in her were pouring out via her pours and ——

"Blargh"

She vomited out all the impurities on the floor that had been accumulated in her body since birth. She examined herself as she felt heaven and earth energy pouring into her body. She was delighted that her meridians had been mended and the barrier that had hindered her from attaining high cultivation levels had been removed. Her nose was hit by a scent that almost made her puke again. She had a thought. She stood immediately and glanced in front of her, anxiously saying:

"I, I, I'm sorry; I didn't intend to; it happened unexpectedly and I couldn't help myself."

Her face showed signs of nervousness. One should be aware that in the cultivation world, there is no need for a reason to kill; one just has to be powerful, and the powerful cultivator in front of her now had a very excellent reason.

He waved his hand, and all the filth on the floor and impurities that had poured from her body and were on her robes were washed, and the stink was replaced by a jasmine aroma throughout the room. With a chuckle, he said:

"Don't worry!" he exclaimed, smiling.

His smile was like a cold breeze in the Sahara Desert. She was almost bewitched by his smile when he suddenly said:

"Please sit down!"

She sat on the chair.

Now that she had regained consciousness, she had realized that the meridians that could not be repaired by even the costliest medication her father had purchased for her were healed by a simple tea which simply spoke of its worth. She thought of something and immediately said:

"I know how expensive and valuable tea is; even if I sold my entire possession, I would still be unable to pay for it; I am deeply sorry." As she hurriedly added: "I'll do everything to pay for the tea." She stated this while looking down, embarrassed because it was her first time as a princess not having money to pay.

She was thinking about what the person in front of her would want when she was interrupted by his answer.

"Haha, you're pretty thoughtful, but there's no need, since it is welcome tea for anyone who visits here and it isn't as miraculous as you think it is."

She was taken aback by his statements since she came from the wealthiest empire on the east continent but still couldn't discover the remedy for shattered meridians, but the tea that could heal it was only welcome tea and he even stated that it wasn't so amazing after all. She felt that her worldview was entirely altered, and she also thought that this place was pretty strange because the exterior looked like hell, yet the proprietor was stunningly handsome and this place was even hospitable. She thought: 'What is this place?'

"This place is —" She was about to inquire what this location was but was cut off by his question.

"I saw you were stressed before coming here; why don't you tell me about it? I'm very interested." He inquired, smiling.

She could see he didn't want her to inquire, so she dropped the subject, and when he asked her about her story, she began to talk about it.

"My name is Long Xu Er and I am a princess of the Long Empire."

"I only have one more sibling, my brother, the lone successor of the Long Empire, but he met an accident in the forest to the east a few months ago and hasn't woken up since."

"Even the Royal Doctor, one of the top doctors on the continent, can't uncover anything concerning his ailment, making healing him nearly unattainable."

"Even I am unable to cultivate owing to my shattered meridians, which has resulted in no heir to the Long Empire, leaving my father extremely depressed."

"The Sword sect saint sent a proposal to marry me some time ago, but I know he wants to marry me so he can control the empire, as he had found the opportunity that Long empire doesn't have any successors left."

"Since the Peerless Sword Sect isn't as powerful as the empire, they can't rebel, so they're resorting to cheap tricks to seize control of the empire."

"My father is aware of the Peerless sword sect plans and sword saint marriage intents, yet he continues to pressurize me to marry him, claiming it is for my wellbeing." Her tone was solemn.

"Your father might have his own reasons behind it."

"However, now that your meridians have been healed, you may cultivate, which alleviates one of your father's major concerns. Isn't this also removing your worry?" While sipping his tea, he remarked on this.

"Yes, you are right, and thank you, thank you very much, senior. I shall be eternally grateful for your generosity."

He then spoke:

"That's enough of your introduction for now; let me first introduce myself. My name is "Yama," aka "King Yama" and I am the master of this Treasury."

"Let me tell you about this treasury first."

"This Treasury is in the fourth dimension of the cosmos, and you can also say it is in space or void, which implies it appears at random on Tong Xia Realm."

"This treasury is unique because you can buy everything you want unless you can pay the price that pleases me."

"This treasury has Weapons, Armors, Talismans, Contract Beasts, Bloodlines, Spiritual herbs, Supreme sutras, Pills, Heavenly Materials and many other things that you have only heard in legends."

"Every item is authentic and of excellent quality."

"This treasury also has some regulations and rules, such as not accepting currency."

"Aside from currency, the cost of the thing you desire may be in terms of exchange of things of equal value; soul, lifespan, cultivation or something you have naturally, such as your smile, enthusiasm and so on."

"The price for natural possession will also vary from person to person; since you are weak, your natural possession price will also be minimal, but someone with high cultivations will get a hefty price for his natural possessions."

He asked: "Do you understand the rules?"

She was astounded by the treasury's transaction methods, since lifespan and natural possessions cannot be grabbed by someone like plucking cabbages, and if this had been stated to her before she came here, she would have labelled that person insane. This also demonstrated that the person in front of him is powerful enough to modify natural laws and even more powerful than ancient cultivators she had heard about in ancient records who could kill a whole country with a single blow.

"I understand." Her voice was tinged with fear, she murmured while nodding.

"All right, then, why not begin with your low-grade human rank Sword?" He inquired, waving his hand. The sword linked to her waist in the sword belt fell into his grasp after he waved his hand.

The sword was a broadsword with two edges. It had a fancy appearance since its hilt was embellished with various types of glittering stones, and its blade was white in color, indicating that it was most likely purely for display and could only cut some inferior steel.

She realized she couldn't say no, so she just nodded her head. She knew her sword was a low-grade human rank sword, the least costly and was not that powerful and wouldn't be of much cost and would not be qualified to be traded.

'Do I have to sell my lifespan or natural possessions to purchase something from the Treasury then, since I don't believe this person will allow me to go empty-handed?' She pondered to herself.

"Even if it's merely a damaged sword with hardly any damage to the opponent, I'll give you a discount since it's your first time in the Treasury. I offer a human-level high-grade sword."

"What do you think, Xue Er?"
