"...huh"
She was taken aback by what she heard. The crappy sword she'd brought with her to show off can be traded for High Grade Human Rank. Even if the high-grade human rank Sword is of inferior quality, it is still several times more powerful than the low-grade human rank Sword.
When he noticed her hesitation, "King Yama" narrowed his eyes and asked firmly and dissatisfied, "What? Do you believe I'm attempting to defraud you? Do you think I'm so nasty that I wish to take advantage of some junior's damaged sword?"
When she heard it, the temperature in the room dropped dramatically. "No, no, that's not what the senior thinks," she responded quickly. "I absolutely trust the senior; it's just that the offer is so good that I was taken aback for a while. I gratefully appreciate your offer."
Seeing her nodding, his face lit up with a smile. "Good, then wait here," he said. "I'll go get your sword."
The atmosphere became calm again. Then King Yama passed through the area between the bookshelves and the large glass capsule that was left at the reception desk. That area was as dark as an abyss, and not even light could enter through it. She felt her soul being drawn towards it as she gazed for a while. She swiftly glanced aside, knowing that if she hadn't, she would have lost forever. Now that she glanced around carefully and noticed that everything on exhibit was of such high quality that even she couldn't determine what rank it was, despite the fact that her Royal treasure that she had seen herself was a high-grade Heaven rank, which was a peak treasure on the east continent.
The Armors on exhibit were so powerful simply by seeing that she could say that even the most powerful cultivator of the Tong Xia Realm* couldn't scratch it if he kept attacking it with his most powerful blows for his whole life. The weapons were so potent that she could feel that even a mortal could kill a powerful cultivator with a single flick of the wrist.
She became even more amazed as she looked around more. There were Sutras that hummed, some that emitted complex diagrams, some that radiated Sanskrit words, and some that excreted forbidden knowledge, making her head dizzy.
There were some beasts in capsules in slumber, and she even saw dragons and phoenixes in them. It is to be noted that there was only one dragon and one phoenix in the Tong Xia realm, and that was in the Primordial age, which was about 100,000 years ago, and here they were captured like some decorative piece, as it is to know that they were God beasts, and are haughty and arrogant creatures that would prefer to die than bow. There were also many more beasts she had only read about in stories, as well as others she had never heard of.
There were also herbs and Elixir bottles on display that gave eyes a calming delight just by looking at them, but no one knew how much they cost or how scarce they were.
Yama returned after five minutes as she was looking around. He was armed with a sword. It had a 41-inch blade length and a nearly 1-inch blade width. It was a straight two-edged sword. The hilt was 5 inches long. Its hilt was white as snow, and its blade was silvery white. It was a thin and light sword.
"This is a high-grade human rank sword; it doesn't have a name; you may name it yourself if you like," he stated as he approached the registration desk. "Though this sword type is not the same as your sword type, I believe it will fit you better. It contains an array that may boost your damage by a notch while also providing your heaven and earth energy water element touch."
She was surprised again, since only earth-rank weapons have arrays that can add elemental touch, and even those are uncommon, yet she witnessed a human-level weapon with elemental touch. This suggested that this sword treasure worth approached a low-grade earth-rank weapon. She picked up the sword. It weighed about 1 kg and she felt that this blade was meant for her, yet something was preventing her from properly utilizing it.
"If you want to use it, drip a drop of blood."

She was amazed, since only heaven rank can seal the bond between master and treasure with a drop of blood because they have some consciousness due to the materials used to manufacture them, albeit not much that they can think of on their own. The bond between master and treasure elevates the combat to a new level, since their consciousnesses are mutually connected, making it simple to control the weapon. This is also one of the reasons why heaven-ranked treasures and earth-ranked treasures are on distinct levels.
And this weapon can do things that only earth-rank weapons and heaven-rank weapons can do, making it extremely rare. However, it did not become a heaven rank weapon, and it will still be destroyed with a single strike of a heaven rank weapon, because the materials used were inferior to those used to make heaven rank treasure. The array placed on the sword enabled practical connection.
She excitedly dripped some blood from her finger on the blade and then, for a few seconds, an eye-blinding light emerged from the blade and then she felt an absolute connection with the blade, as if she could control it, as if it were a part of her own body.
"If someone tried to forcefully form a connection with the item purchased from the treasury, he or she will receive soul damage"
"If the owner died, then that treasure will vanish and be restored to the treasury automatically." He said calmly.
"I understand," She replied.
Then he reached for a big 13-inch-long register from among the books on the reception desk. The register's outward aspect was terrifying. There was an eye with a dark crimson pupil in the upper center of the cover that moved here and there; the cover appeared to be composed of monster scales. The scales were black, and there were scarlet veins between the spaces in the scales, as though blood was running through them from time to time. The words "King Yama Treasury Register" were inscribed in the middle.
When he opened the register, a heavy black mist was emitted and quickly dissipated in the air. He then took a pen from the counter and began writing. He turned the register towards her after writing and said, "Customer, please place your right thumb under the Customer's signature heading."
Again, she had no idea what language it was, but she understood what was written. The following was written in red on the register:
Name: Long Xue Er
City: Long City
Continent: East
Transaction Nature: Exchange
Received Item: Low Grade Human Rank Sword
Provided Item: High Grade Human Rank Sword
Costumer Signature:
The registration page appeared to be made of monster skin, and when she pressed her thumb on it, she felt as if she had lived a monster's whole existence in an instant, but she also forgot what it was. When she lifted her thumb, there were crimson thumbprints of her, and she suspected that the ink for the thumbprint was her blood on, but when she examined her thumb, there was no trace of even the slightest damage. After a short period, the letters on the paper began to glow crimson.
"Customer, the transaction has been completed." He said this while shutting the register, and the mist that had vanished before was pulled back in, giving the impression that a soul was being tormented using this way.
"If you have any questions, customer, please ask." He smiled as he said this.
"Can you tell me where this place is in Tong Xia realm?" She inquired after some thoughts.
"This Treasury is in a different dimension of the cosmos. You can also say it is in space or void, and it appears at random in the Tong Xia Realm."
"How will I visit this treasury again if I wish to?" She inquired cautiously.
"You will be informed of the time and location where Treasury will appear next, so you will not have to worry about not entering Treasury again."
"So, I walked into Treasury on a whim but rather because senior Yama chose me."
"You will know your every answer once you get strong enough; for now, knowing will only end in your death."
The response made her shudder.
"I was simply travelling to another location when I noticed you in distress, so I just thought I'd help you."
"If you don't like it, I can erase this memory of our encounter and have you return." He stated.
"No, No. I am grateful to King Yama for his thoughtfulness." She spoke quickly, believing she would be sent back.
"That's good." He spoke.
"Does this Treasury offer anything? Does it also...have a cure for my brother?" She spoke hesitantly as she was afraid of a negative answer.
"I'm not sure what disease your brother has, but I'm confident that this treasury has a remedy for anything. However, the more difficult the remedy, the greater the cost." He mentioned this.
"I understand." The response was both happy and sad.
"Didn't I tell you I'd help you, so don't be concerned about the cost."
"Huh, what does senior mean?" She asked hurriedly.
"What I mean is that I have a solution for you if you don't have anything to pay for."
"Really?" She almost jumped hearing his words.
"However, once you accept the terms, there is no going back," he stated firmly.
