Looking at his status, he was confused as to what a High Human was. As soon as the question popped up in his mind, a new screen showed up.

High Human 1: A superior form of the humankind. During the Ancient Era of Kaffanah, high humans were worshipped as the ruler of the world. Due to a blasphemy committed by their Ancient One, high humans were punished and expelled from the Great Continent of Yerell. Trait: 120% modifier to all attributes.

Now that’s nice.

Ken was not sure as to why he was specified as a High Human, although he had some ideas. What he was sure of was that the trait would be a huge boon for him in the long run.

Seeing as the system was responsive and user friendly, Ken tried to examine every detail of his status. The attributes were self-explanatory, which brought him to his title. Focusing on them brought another screen in front of him.

Earth’s pioneer: The first creature from Earth to visit the Great Continent of Yerell. Bonus: +1 free attribute points every two levels.

Outworlder: Creature of another world. Bonus: System empowered linguistic assistance, enable user to perceive and interact with languages of civilized creatures.

The fact that he was no longer in earth was apparent and clear as day. Panic or fear was not in his mind as what he experienced the other day was enough stimulus for him to override any emotion he felt about the sudden transmigration.

At least this title solves one of my concerns.

Gratified and relieved that he was able to converse with other people, Ken scanned his status screen one last time.

All that was left was his free points. As he was not sure about what to expect in the future, Ken believed he should not invest his points prematurely. Seeing as whoever saved him the other day was probably not going to harm him, Ken decided to learn more about this new world before deciding his path of growth.

Having reviewed all the information he had on hands, Ken ran out of things to do. Delaying any longer would do him no good. Now it was time to face his savior.

Stepping outside the room, Ken saw that the house was made of the same material as his room. He was about to explore the building when he heard a gentle voice speaking to him.

“I see that you have regained consciousness, how do you feel?”

The voice came from his left, to which direction he found a woman sitting down beside a table. Walking toward her, Ken replied.

“I feel fine, thank you. Were you the one who saved me? How long was I unconscious for?”

"I found you yesterday. It was nothing really. I was curious however, why were you lost so deep into the forest?”

Now closer to the woman, Ken saw that she was a beauty. Silky black hair flowed along her curvy body, fitting perfectly with her chestnut skin. It was a sight for sore eyes indeed. Ken was dumbfounded as his eyes moved up and down appreciating the woman before him.

A cough from the woman waked him out of his amazement. Embarrassed, Ken replied.

“Uh. Sorry, what was the question again?”

The woman mumble something under her breath. Ken could swear he heard her saying human. Then she repeated her question. This once again left Ken dumbfounded, he didn’t prepare an explanation for this topic.

Any thought occupying his mind was gone instantly. Then come the panic and worry disabled his logic. Being the first earthling stepping foot in this world showed just how rare a transmigration such as his was. Ken was not ready to expose himself to whatever consequences there was to an outworlder such as himself.

A lie was brewing, he was about to open his mouth when he closed it back. Between his near-death experience yesterday and him being stranded in another world, Ken believed that he should have at least someone to rely on. And right now, he could not rely on himself.

Kens eyes moved toward the woman's face, studying her eyes. Ken’s dilemma had costed him several minutes of thoughts, and during this time the woman had moved her attention elsewhere. The woman was calm, drinking what Ken believed to be hot tea slowly from a cup in her hands. When she noticed his stare, she put the cup back down on the table, the woman looked back at Ken, waiting for his answer.

Ken closed his eyes, inhaling and exhaling hard twice. Ken knew no one else in this world, and he might not have the chance to meet another, if he could not survive the jungle out there. Saving him was enough proof that the woman had no bad intention toward him and that was enough cue for him to take the risk.

It’s a leap of faith. Jason said in his mind, quoting a book he once read.

"Okay, now where do I start”
