Chapter 29
The first thing we did was call Sengoku and inform him of everything that happened. Including the part where we sarcastically told him that the Straw Hats escaped, though they were defeated. I thought I could make out a small ‘Whahahaha1’ behind Sengoku’s angry growls.
Because of my abilities, we ended up staying at Enies Lobby for a few more days where they requested help from me to move some stuff with my Devil Fruit. I guess it was a sort of practice because even if the Buster Call wasn’t called upon, the Straw Hats and the Franky Family still did cause some damage on some infrastructure on the Headquarters.
*grunt*
Diana: You okay? That looks quite heavy.
I was moving massive portions of the broken bridge of hesitation so the Marines could replace them entirely…as well as a couple of buildings so the building equipment (vehicles) could go through all at once.
Me: My speciality is slamming down things hard… *grunt* not lifting things for an extended period of time!
Well, at least I could call this practice in a way. From what I know, approximately 2 years from now, dad held up all the debris and loose pieces from Dressrosa. I’m not really there yet but I think I still have time to practice.
After a couple of busy days and when the Headquarters told me I could come back, we met Sengoku and Garp at his office. Well, since it’s only been a couple of days, I guess Garp hasn’t raided Water 7 to see Luffy again.
Diana: Hey old man. How’s the paperwork?
Sengoku: *hmpf* OK, first…WHAT THE FUCK! You girls do nothing but cause me paperwork. What was that about? Why’d you leave the Straw Hats. You think I’m dumb enough to believe that they ran away from you? YOU?
Diana: I have no idea what you’re talking about *wink*
Sengoku: *grumble* Well at least you kept the damage to a minimum compared to what could’ve happened. We’ve got the Spandam in custody now, we’ve heard what he said and judging from his actions and his reasons for calling a Buster call, he’ll be under arrest. But speaking of which, do you know why the signal never reached my Silver Den Den mushi?
I smiled as I held up my hand and pointed at Sengoku’s personal den den mushi
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
*ring* *ring*
Me: Electronic Waves, that’s what den den mushi calls each others with. I just so happen to have some power over it.
I smiled.
Me: So I just intercepted Spandam’s signal for a Buster Call when it came. Since he was being broadcasted all over the base, I planned to call for one again through mine if it really was an emergency. Turns out he was an idiot who pressed it by accident and just tried to justify his actions.
Sengoku: Good… can’t imagine what would’ve happened if you didn’t. Could you imagine sending a Buster Call to one of our own Marine Headquarters? *haha*
Sengoku and Garp shared a laugh at the ridiculous thought while I just grimaced internally, knowing it would have happened if I had not stepped in.
Sengoku: Alright, I think that’s enough for now… but what to do with your Unit? It’s strange how every time you guys are somewhere, something big pops up. So what are you going to do now?
Diana: I rather like the idea of Spooking out Gecko Moria. We’ll rest here for a couple of days, gather our supplies before heading off to Thriller Bark
Sengoku: No can do… sorry. Moria’s rather known for attacking Pirates and Marines all the same. We can’t have you or your sister arresting another one of the 7 Warlords, if you don’t even kill him that is.
Diana: We won’t do that. We’re not that mean.
Sengoku: From what I heard from your report on how you treated Crocodile and beat him into the ground…which was SAND says otherwise. How’d you even beat up a Logia User in their own element?
I just shrugged, honestly, I just remember punching him a couple of times real hard and then Crocodile just giving up after a while.
Sengoku: Besides, we already sent Kuma there. Better that another Warlord deal with the mess than a high ranking Marine.
Huh… I guess that’s goodbye for Thriller Bark arc then. Not that I really enjoyed it in the first place… but I would’ve enjoyed meeting Brooke.
Sengoku: And also, Dr. Vegapunk said he wants to see your Pacifista model on your ship… what did you call it?
Sarah: Requiem
Sengoku: yes, that. Anyway he needs to borrow your PX-1.0 for a couple of days. He’s making some upgrades and stuff. So you guys stay here for a while, unless you don’t want your PX-1.0 back.
Of course we wanted it back. That was one of the main reasons why we could leave our ship anywhere we wanted and be fine with it. He was better than almost every security system the World had so far, no way we’re no waiting for it back.
Diana: Alright, fine. But we’re going to Sabaody right after though. I want to see dad.
I nodded at her words. Calls over den den mushi just isn’t the same. I want to be hugged again. Also, I want to see if I can win now, with my new Devil fruit and all. I know for myself that I got a lot stronger.
Sengoku: Fine fine… just do what you want. You’ve got maybe 2 weeks here to do nothing. Intrude in some classes, eat at the Officer’s cafeteria. Sarah, you’ve been trained here. Takes these newbie Vice Admirals around, will you?
After a couple more minutes of talking nonsense and a lot more arguing between Sengoku and Garp, we left the office to the quarters we’ve been given.
I way laying on the bed in my pajamas while sis was sitting on the couch, sipping tea but also using her other hand to pet me.
Diana: Well, I guess we won’t be interfering with Thriller Bark then. I wanted to punch Gecko at least once though, I mean, what type of Character design is that?!
Me: *pet* *pet* muu… well. He’s kinda like a filler antagonist that needed to be kinda strong. The arc right before it was Enies Lobby so it’s inevitable that people end up comparing it anyway.
Diana: The next major thing we have is Sabaody, and then the Paramount War. We should start detailing some plans for that as well.
Me: Personally I want to be at Impel Down as well…but Sengoku would never allow me to not be part of the War.
Diana: You’re too strong to not be part of the War. Especially your gravity attacks, that’s going to really affect the outcome of it all.
Me: Still…I’d rather be facing prisoners and killing escapees from the 6th floor from Blackbeard’s break-in than facing Whitebeard.
Diana: Why? I thought you were looking forward to that war.
Me: I am… but it’s Whitebeard you know? I don’t mean that I don’t want to fight him but it’s our actions.
Diana: I understand…
Me: He’s helped so many islands and countries that the World Government refused to help! He’s not like the other pirates where he raids and pillages… ok maybe against the Marines he does but I mean against innocent people… I just don’t like the idea of fighting to kill against a person who just wanted a family.
I felt tears at the edge of my eye… Whitebeard’s story was too relatable to me. After all, being born orphans, I’ve always wished for a family and being born and raised by a father in our second lives, we cherished every moment of it.
Diana: We’ll ask dad alright? He’ll have some words for us. He always does. You know yourself that the World isn’t black and white. Not everybody sees the world like Sakazuki. Not all pirates are bad and not all Marines are good. Before which affiliation we stand one… Pirates, Marines, Revolutionary, we’re all people.
Me: I don’t want to think about these things. Questioning them just makes my head hurt.
Good night sis
Sis kissed me on the forehead before turning off the lights for me.
Diana: Good night Kara
