Cezar breathed a sigh of relief, the last human had just fallen to his blade. He did not fear these lowly humans, he could slaughter them in the hundreds with his bare hands, however this battle held a monumental weight upon his shoulders.
Count Hellreid himself was watching over them, to see if Cezar was worthy of lbecoming a count. The highest rank and honour a vampire lord could recieve. If he had lost this battle, such a dream would have been lost alongside. That did not happen however, and today was his victory. "My Lord, your army awaits you." Cezar turned his head to look upon the owner of that voice. Bowing deeply was his beautiful wife Camilla, the blood of her foes dripping off her crimson armour only amplifying her beauty.
Cezar lebt down and ripped the head of the king off his pathetic body, as he stood back up he turned to his wife. "We shall present our victory together, my wife." He offered the head to the battlewife. Camilla showed her husband an alluring smile and took the blood soaked head bowing her head lightly.
The two made their way to a fallen building which loomed over the battlefield, their minions averting their eyes as they passed. When they reached the peak of the towering building, all eyes were on them. Camilla held the head high."TODAY MY MINIONS WE HAVE ACHIEVED VICTORY!" Cezar let out a domineering yell, the few human survivors taken prisoner cowered in his presence, whilst his minions roared in applause. With a grim smirk Cezar watched his army cheer, he had come so far and his power had only grown. The size of his army was just proof of that.
The aspiring lord raised his hands for silence. "And yet, this is just another small step in my plans. This was Just another battle to increase my power and influence amongst the Vampire Lords. There is still much to be done, and we will not stop, not until the name Cezar Von Imrik is whispered in fear by every pathetic human, in every tiny corner of this conquered world!" Cezar raised his hands for another round of applause and the crowd obliged. Cezar was an old vampire ready to gain the status of Count, and now, that dream was in sight.
Pukestrip let out a long disgruntled sigh. "Blah blah blah. I'm an arrogant cunt." He made his hand in to a mouth and tapped it together in a mocking manner. This was the third battle with the same speech in a row. It gets boring after the first. Scoffing, Pukestrip lent down and ripped another chunk off the human knights corpse that lay next to where he sat. Would he have said such a thing if every other minion around him wasn't cheering loud enough to destroy what little eardrum he had left? No, he wasn't stupid. Which is more than he could say for some of his fellow soldiers.
Pukestrip looked over at the soldiers corpse he was nibbling on, the dumbass probably had a wife and kids he thought to himself, not that it mattered to him of course, he just couldn't understand why these humans throw their life away to the Vampires time and time again. Surely it was easier to just give in and accept their enslavement. It's not like the life of a slave is all that bad after all. "Pukestrip. Master talk. You listen. Muuuust." He winced as he heard his own name.
Looking up for the owner of the voice he could see it was a friend of his Axewound who had callen out to him, another of Von Imriks undead army. This one aptly named as he had an axe permanently embedded in to his decayed skull. Pukestrip rolled his eyes. "I'm sure our esteemed master wouldn't care about one lowly Ghoul not listening. If the lump in his trousers is any indication he's much too distracted stroking his own ego... Among other things." Pukestrip chuckled, immediately regretting what he said as soon as it escaped his dried lips. Axewound hung his head and sulked off just as he knew would happen. The Ghoul was extremely loyal to their master, even so Pukestrip didn't want to upset him as he was one of the few other Ghouls that could actually talk... As limited as his vocabulary is.

Still, he meant what he said. He was just a Ghoul, the lowest rung of the Vampiric forces. A human bitten by a vampire, but not given the vampires blood to drink, thus keeping them as a Ghoul. Not just that Pukestrip was one of the lowest levelled of the Ghouls at a measly [Level 3]. He was just fodder, above his head floated the words [Ghoul Soldier] for that's what he was, just another mob monster on the battlefield, such a weak and pathetic monster that not even a fledgling adventurer would pay him any mind. And that was just the way he liked it.
Unlike his master, Pukestrip had no ambitions, he had no desire for power or rank, he had no desire for money or women, no, his desire was to live care free. Which, surprisingly enough was what being a Ghoul Soldier gave him. The humans see Ghouls as nothing but a nuisance, something to stop them reaching those really worth killing, so if one lowly Ghoul happens to sit on the sidelines, why would they pay him any attention. Pukestrip marvelled at his own geniusness, he didn't even care if that was a word.
Whilst he was absorbed in an oddly arrogant thought, Pukestrip didn't notice the cheering had died down. He felt a kick against his leg. "Ow." He exclaimed in a monotone voice. His focus came back into the real world. Leaning over him was another Ghoul he was acquainted with. Stump, so called as his foot was nonexistent. This gave Stump a bit of a limp, in fact, he had to walk using his spear as a crutch, which made him a bit useless in a fight. On top of that, Stump had the intelligence of a slug that had been dropped on it's head as a child. It was a wonder he was still alive. As alive as an undead Ghoul can be that is.
Stump looked down at Pukestrip with his tounge flayling about then looked towards the army that had begun marching away from them. "Fuck." Pukestrip exclaimed as he stood up. He grabbed hisfriend'ss bony hand and made a run for the back of the Ghoul army.
They made it just in time, their master had sent some of his captains to inspect each regiment of the army as we marched past. If he had been caught resting, he would have lost a limb. Well probably all his limbs and he quite liked having all his limbs, it was rather useful. Pukestrip turned to face Stump who had blended in to the mass of corpse like Ghouls with him. "Thanks mate." He said winking to his intellectually challenged friend.
Stump panted like a dog, which was his way of showing happiness. Pukestrip shook his head and looked to his right as they passed the first captain who seemed bored, there wasn't much to inspect really. The whole army was loyal to Cezar Von Imrik, whether by choice or otherwise. This was more for ceremony than anything. Of course they would report anything if spotted, but such a thing rarely happened.
The army carried on it's march, past another Captain, and another and then seven more. Ten captains to complete the inspection, finally was their master himself, standing upon another tall overhang, this time a rock. He likes to look important. Of course, Von Imrik didn't notice anything either, as there was nothing to notice. Pukestrip noticed the Vampire though, he noticed the name above his head [Cezar Von Imrik], then the Vampires lords level underneath his name; [Level ???], everything screamed power about that man and he had the arrogance and cruelty to go along with it.
Yet Pukestrip didn't care, just as he didn't care about his masters speech. Living under Von Imriks power meant an easy life for him, that's about as far as his loyalty went. Of course betraying his master would be a very difficult task anyway considering he was enslaved by magic, but that's just small print. When he was bitten originally he was terrified, yet he got lucky and managed to keep his own mind. Pukestrip got the perfect deal and he wouldn't exchange it for anything else.
