Ow.
My head screams at me.
What, Where?
I force my eyes open and glance around, before blinking in shock.
What the heck, is this a dream?
Before me are trees as large as redwoods with smooth light gray bark that reach into the sky. The canopy leaves were a paradise green as the light shined through them. The ground was covered in verdant moss, stretching as far as the eye could see.
I quickly pinch my arm and slap my face and soon feel the heat rising in my cheeks and sharp pain in my arm.
Well, apparently not. I should leave the forest and find people.
I stand up and start walking through the forest slowly. I notice the woods with the pillar-like trees is extremely strange. I glance around, trying to answer my question, but I pull up empty straws I'll let time find that answer, and It slips my mind as I continue to walk forward.
-----
Its at least been a couple miles... I think. After some time, the scene hasn't changed, though the sun is starting to set, and the lit-up canopy is becoming dark green. The same trees still tower everywhere as far as my eye could see. It's as if I haven't moved at all. My throat soon grow parched after walking a long distance, yet I could not find water. I'll keep on walking, I decide.
----
Rapidly the sky became dark, but the night was surprisingly bright. I look forward and see a clearing in the trees. Yes! Finally! I think as I run toward the clearing as if it was going to vanish the moment I let it be for even a second. As I stumble into the clearing, I notice a clear pond reflecting the moonlight. I quickly near the pool and scoop the water into my mouth. The water was clean and cold, fresher than even the tap water back in my home. After quenching my thirst, I look up into the sky, but this sky was different. The constellation I learned with my mother could no longer be seen in heaven. Replaced was an odd arrangement of stars and, more surprisingly, two moons! One crescent moon with a blue glow shone brightly in the sky, as a pale yellow full moon followed in its trail. This isn't even Earth, I think as I see the sky. Shocked, I make my way back underneath one of the gigantic trees and rest my head on the trunk. As I feel a wave of sleep overcoming me, I seem to see a shining blue boy running across the water as a bright pale yellow lady chased after him. But my eyes soon droop, and I fall into a deep sleep.

'Its been days, or maybe weeks, or maybe who knows how long.'
How much time had passed again, I forgot. All I know is that it must have been a while. The scenery had not changed at all, as if the forest would go on forever. Yet unlike the landscape, my clothes are clean but torn and ragged. I know that I've slept, eaten drunk, and washed my clothes multiple times, yet I never seem to move at all in this forest. The days are monotonous, every day I wake up to eat the moss on the ground before finding a small pool of water to drink from. This world is bizarre, I can't find any life other than the trees and the forest is always dead silent, no birds, no bugs, no animals. Where the heck am I? And the only sound I hear is the echos of my fist occasionally slamming on a tree out of frustration.
I don't know what's happening anymore, but I need to keep on walking. I soon find a pool and a rest. I start grasping the silver berries from a beautiful plant near the pond and throw large batches of them into my mouth.
When I started out, hunger soon gnawed at my stomach, and I endured painfully for three days before I decided to try the silver berries near the ponds. When I tried it, it seemed to clear my mind, but had no other effects. So the next day near another pond. I grasped them and ate, and ate, and ate until almost all the berries were gone, and I could no longer eat anymore. The walking, then drinking, then eating, then sleeping soon became a routine as I repeated it once again before succumbing to sleep.
The next morning was uneventful. After gathering the leftover berries near the pond, I set off once again. Though suddenly I saw a green butterfly in the distance. The butterfly was huge, and its wingspan was at least two feet wide. The patterns on its wings seemed to glow a gentle green as it danced off in the distance. After seeing a moving organism for the first time in so long, I was so excited I started to run toward the butterfly. As if it saw me coming, It quickly flew into the forest. I abruptly stopped as I saw it fly away, my mind calming after the burst of joy. Yet, the butterfly once again stopped and danced alluringly as if it was waiting for me, taunting me to follow it. I carefully stepped toward the butterfly and saw it fly once again at my pace further in its direction. Before stopping the moment, I stopped. Well, I have nothing better to do, so I start running after it. After 15 minutes, I run out of breath. I breathe heavily with my hands on my knees, glancing up to see if the butterfly was still pausing for me, seeing as it was I slowly stand straight and start walking behind it.
----
After half a day of following the butterfly suddenly sped up, glowing brightly before going speeding into the distance. I sprint, trying to keep up with it, running with all my might chasing the butterfly getting smaller and smaller on the horizon. Then before I knew it, My leg caught on a root, there was moss in my mouth, and my vision faded while a searing pain tore through my head.
