And after it was finally time for the final match between Han Laufei at the Golden-Core realm and Wang Wei at the Blood-Exchanging realm, the audience wasn't that excited about this match because of the massive difference in strength between realms.
But Wang Wei wasn't disheartened on the contrary his adrenaline was pumping and his excitement was through the roof.
He lept onto the stage closely followed by Han Laufei floating into the arena on her flying sword.
"Hmpf a physical cultivator dared to hurt my younger brother, I'm going to skin you alive!" Han Laufei said arrogantly as her flying sword floated behind her.
Wang Wei didn't even deign to reply, he immediately began an offensive, his entire body was engulfed in orange flame flames. But it didn't just stop there the flames that engulfed his body started getting hotter and hotter gradually turning a cyan color.
The flames surrounding his body also started getting bigger and bigger until Wang Wei was standing within a giant that resembled his body entirely made out of cyan flames.
He started running and with his every step a flaming footprint was imprinted into the arena floor, but before he could reach his opponent, Han Laufei's flying sword started flying around him leaving behind afterimages.
That was Han Laufei's famous swordsmanship technique "Dance of a Thousand Roses" where her sword flew around her opponent so fast that it leaves behind afterimage shadows.
And before he could realize what was happening he looked around and found that he was surrounded by a storm of shadow swords created from the afterimages.
But Wang Wei wasn't trapped as Han Laufei expected, as a matter of fact, he didn't even stop, the flaming giant continued straight through the barrier made out of the shadow swords and just as one of them was coming towards him.
It reached the body of the flaming giant and as soon as it made contact with it the sword was reduced to melted metal that harmlessly splashed against his skin. Once the sword melted into a pile of useless metal, the afterimages also disappeared.
"WHAT? MY SPIRITUAL SWORD!" Han Laufei yelled in a rage while her heart was bleeding because of how many spiritual stones it would cost to obtain another one.
Han Laufei's sword wasn't just any ordinary sword, it was actually a Spiritual rank sword created by a spiritual blacksmith.
Weapons that cultivators use are divided into 6 ranks, Mortal, Spiritual, Profound, Earth, Heaven, and finally the Immortal ranks. The 6 ranks correspond to the 6 ranks of cultivation, Mortal rank corresponds to Qi-Gathering realm while the Immortal rank obviously corresponds to the Immortal realm.
Of course, any weapon that is made by a spiritual blacksmith is ridiculously expensive and usually, cultivators would use weapons below their own rank just as Han Laufei did.
But all of that just went down the drain with Wang Wei destroying her treasured sword. But destroying a Spiritual rank weapon isn't at all easy it would take an attack at least one level higher than the rank of the weapon.
So for a Spiritual rank weapon, it would take at least an attack at the Golden-Core level, which means that just now the temperature of the flaming giant was equivalent to an attack at the Golden-Core stage.
After destroying the Spiritual sword, Han Laufei's strongest means of attack was disabled but that doesn't mean that she was completely defenseless because even without her swordsmanship she was still a genuine Golden-Core expert.
Therefore she quickly adapted and flew into the sky to avoid the charge of the flaming giant but what she didn't expect was Wang Wei to stop running at her and jump up suddenly.
Wang Wei jumped while punching out in his giant form, the punch traveled quickly but ultimately it was still too slow to catch up to a Golden-Core cultivator.
But the heatwave that was produced by it was far faster and caught up to his opponent startling her, but she quickly overcame her shock and executed her defensive technique.
Her Qi transformed into the wind attribute, left her body, and surrounded her in a bubble, the heatwave reached the bubble, but the wind still wasn't strong enough to hold out against Wang Wei's technique.
It only slowed it down enough for Han Laufei to take out the surrender talisman and teleport outside of the arena with an angry expression on her face.
As soon as she surrendered there was an uproar inside the colloseum. It was astounding news that the prised powerhouse of the Han kingdom was defeated by an unknown physical cultivator, it wasn't only unbelievable but also extremely shameful to the Han family.
It could be imagined the amount of shock there would be in the Zhong continent because of a new Golden-Core level powerhouse appearing.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Let's not forget that each Golden-Core cultivator would be extremely famous in the Zhong continent as a matter of fact Golden-Core cultivators are all Sect-Masters and leaders of kingdoms in the continent and every one of them could change the tide of war.
After that, the events proceeded quickly Wang Wei was announced as the champion to the entire Xieye City and given the rewards that came with that title, but such trifles were nothing to the resources of the Wang family.
Immediately after, Wang Wei quickly left the colosseum so fast that even Qi-Condensation realm cultivators barely saw his body.
What Wang Wei didn't notice as he was leaving, was the scheming expression on Han Laufei's face while a raging storm was brewing in her heart.
But even if he did he wouldn't care one bit because even if a Deification realm expert appeared here his safety was guaranteed with the talisman, in front of strength all scheming is useless.
Once he was outside the colloseum, Wang Wei didn't want to stay in Xieye City any longer and took out a teleportation talisman that immediately teleported him straight back to the Wang family palace.
Wang Wei reappeared again in front of his father who was amidst a game of go with one of his generals, but as soon as he saw his son appear before him, he smiled and sent away the general quickly as he started speaking to Wang Wei whom he hasn't seen in months.
"I believe everything went well?", Wang Qian spoke gently, "Yes everything went exactly as I believe it would father. " replied Wang Wei with a smile on his face as he began recollecting what he experienced to his father, while his father went ahead and helped his son analyze all of his battles and thoroughly digest all of his battle experience.
Wang Qian also agreed with Wang Wei in his deduction in needing a movement technique and once again advised him to train in one before going to the Inheritance realm in 2 years.
Time passed quickly and Wang Wei already spent a few hours talking to his father, they then said goodbye and he went back to the demonic beast enclosure to find another mount, once again departing towards the Dao Scripture Pagoda to find a movement technique.
He was once again awestruck seeing the Dao Scripture Pagoda and after passing the two gigantic statue guardians, he immediately started searching for a movement technique that was made for physical cultivators.
After searching for a while he landed on the "Light as a Leaf" technique, and the way you cultivate this technique is extremely unique.
That technique was rumored to have been made by a famous talisman maker who even though he couldn't cultivate was extremely proficient in talisman crafting and he always wanted to experience the ability to fly in the sky even though he didn't have a spiritual root.
So he incorporated all of his knowledge of talismans and runes into a technique made for physical cultivators, and thus this technique was created. Even though he wasn't completely successful in making physical cultivators be able to fly it was extremely close to it.
In order to be able to cultivate this technique first, you have to comprehend the rune structure described in the book and memorize it completely.
The rune's function is to take the Qi from the surrounding area and then utilize it to guide the surrounding air to make the practitioner lighter.
Then the second step is to learn to completely control your muscle fibers, and then finally the third step is to grasp the way to arrange your muscle fibers to match the rune structure, therefore, gaining the ability to be as light as a leaf.
After reading the whole technique he realized that this is the exact thing he needed in order to bridge the distance between him and the Qi cultivators who are able to use Qi techniques.
So he wasted no time in leaving the Dao Scripture Pagoda and returning back to the palace to train.

Time Skip 2 Years
A young man with black hair dressed in a Taoist robe is floating above the tree line occasionally landing on the ground before taking off once again. He looked like an ethereal Immortal that graced the mortal world with his presence.
This is Wang Wei who is just returning back to the palace after spending months in the forest honing and integrating all of his techniques together in perfect harmony.
While doing so, he fought against thousands of beasts, but he abstained against killing any of them because according to Buddha's teachings every living thing had a soul, and killing any creature without reason or for selfish reasons will attract negative karma that would halt anyone from achieving enlightenment.
He only took a year before he mastered the "Light as a Leaf" technique to completion, now even with a little bit of strength exertion, he can cross hundreds of meters in a second.
And now after all of that time and practice, it was time to report to his father and meet his escort team that will protect him in the Inheritance realm and to finally depart to the Void Ship of the Wang family.
The Void Ship is a marvel, it is a Heaven rank artifact constructed by a genius Spiritual Blacksmith called Mo Yu as a gift to the Wang family because they helped save his life in the past and allowed him to join the family as a servant.
It is able to bring even mortals to cross the Void outside the worlds and its speed is even comparable to Immortal level cultivators, which was extremely impressive because to be able to even leave the world and enter the Void a cultivator must be at the Deification realm.
Its only downside is that it has no offensive capabilities, so an Immortal cultivator has to be present at all times in order to protect the artifact from the fierce void beasts.
Void beasts are creatures that were born in the void between the worlds and their primary food sources are lower realms which means that each and every one of them is at least at the Deification realm and even some could be at the Immortal realm. Those creatures are calamities to even higher realms but thankfully they are extremely rare.
With the movement technique that he mastered he arrived below the Wang family island extremely quickly except this time he didn't need anyone to help him get to it, he put all of his strength into his legs, jumped up, and activated his movement technique.
He moved like the wind and before he knew it he was a kilometer above the floating island, he admired his surroundings as he gently floated down towards it as if an Immortal was descending from the heavens.
He reminisced about his previous life and remembered the scenes that he saw, all of the mortals who were starving below and couldn't even defend themselves against the demonic beasts.
His eyes filled with compassion and he promised himself that whenever he got powerful enough he would establish a system where all mortals were protected and none of them had to worry about how to feed themselves.
