A few words

First of all, if you are reading this it means you already read chapter X. I want to thank you for your decision to pick up my book! I am really grateful and hope you enjoyed and will continue to enjoy.

Now, you won't find any story-relevant information in here. So if only reading the novel is on your mind you are welcome to skip this "chapter". Here I'll just speak of some of my personal thoughts and details I want to share.

For all who are still with me, thank you for your attention and precious time!

So at first I would like to share my reason for writing this book. As you've probably noticed from the blurb I'm quite fond of Isekai. To be honest I've read way too many of those. And with that I mean WAY too many. In this seemingly endless sea of Manga and Anime I literally need to search for Isekai I still don't know of.

Well I'm probably not the only one, or at least I hope so…

Anyways, although I've read and watched so much garbage were I just thought "Why am I doing this again?", I don't regret spending this much time on it in the end. Because all the suffering is rewarded when you randomly stumble upon goldmines like kumo desu ga, reincarnated as a dragon's egg, yakuza reincarnation, etc.

Of course there are many big Isekai like NGNL, Shield Hero, Overlord, Rezero, Konosuba and many more, but those "encounters" of smaller titles hold many of my precious memories.

Still, no matter how good the stories are, there is still something amiss. A personal expectation that is never fulfilled. And to be blunt my hope to find "THE Story" is diminishing more and more with each series, in other words at an incredibly fast pace.

So one day, my head told me this: "Boy now listen to me, you know EXACTLY what you want from your "Ideal Story". Furthermore, by witnessing nearly identical plots thousands of times you have the perfect guideline. Why torment yourself with the search when you simply can create the story on your own?"

At first I laughed it off because neither do I have prior writing experience nor confidence that I won't drop writing after a few weeks. Nevertheless I started my first chapter and oh boy was it fun.

A whole 2 years passed since then.

Although I took many breaks from actively writing my story, of which some even lasted for months, I never dropped it or lost interest. Rather writing influenced my daily life way more than I would have imagined. At first I started learning some theory:

How are stories built up in general? What kinds of different stories are there? What writing styles and techniques can be utilized? Stylistic devices, in depth analysis, I even discovered games like DDLC which hold some of the (in my opinion) best tips! Not only was it amazingly interesting, but it also brought me closer to the English language and, of course, the art of story telling.

Also, I started observing much more. Like, my everyday surroundings. In the beginning I only did it for the sake of gathering references, but as time went by I started to find more and more enjoyment in it. I wasn´t a fan of walking around much previously, but now I could probably be out all day, seeing all the beautiful things in the world. Continuously I took notes of what I saw and when I was in the mood I started writing.

This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source.

As a result my curiosity for new experiences grew too. Partly because I can implement them into my writing, but also due to the joy and fun of opening up to something new.

Currently I am at 12 Chapters (Not counting Chapter X and hereafter following Prologue!) with about 15k words. My notes consist of more than 6k words. That is, honestly… well, impressive for a hobby writer, if I do say so myself.

I didn't even notice how time flew by and my story continued to grow. And with some decent amount of writing done I asked some people for reviews. While it's still not too late to change the story here and there without needing to rewrite everything I asked them to give me as much feedback as they could, no matter if positive or negative, about my style, grammar, logical errors and in general every thought that came to their mind.

On that note, if any of them reads this, I again want to thank you for all your support :)

But! Even though I do care about what others think, finishing my story as a "good book" is not actually my goal. First and foremost I began writing my story for myself, and I won´t change my mind on that. What I want to say is that if I'm fine with a part I will leave it as it is. Be it because it's a drag to rewrite , I personally like the scene even if it's "objectively bad" or anything else. Of course I still wish to make this novel as "good" as possible, but don´t set your expectations too high as my taste may or may not be your cup of tea.

This probably sounds more extreme than I actually mean it though. I regardless will give every little comment about the story a thought and take it into consideration, no matter what it is. Even the words "This is shit" from a random person will probably hurt although there is no reason whatsoever to take them to heart

Anyways, I think I rambled on for long enough. Here are some finishing touches from me:

– You perhaps noticed it already, but English is not my native language. There are two reasons why I decided to write in English though.

1. It simply sounds better

2. It will improve my English skills by quite a bit

So if you notice some weird wording or anything like that I would be more than glad to have it pointed out!

– You probably figured it out from the blurb already, but I'm trying to make my story as realistic as possible. For that purpose I revisit my chapters and look out for discrepancies. I also do plenty of research (which is really fun~). My point is, if you were to notice anything that gives you a feeling of "Nah this is somehow not right" or "Bruh that's not what a normal person would do/how a normal person would think", would you be so kind to point it out? Personally, I always lose myself in my writing and feel like I often miss out on stuff like that, or in other words: I get tunnel vision. I'd be really grateful!

– If I haven't made it clear enough yet, don't be shy and write everything in the comments that comes to your mind (not only things mentioned in the previous point). I would be delighted to enter a conversation or to just read what you have to say!

– For now I plan to upload a chapter daily until I run out of chapters. After that the uploads will be really slow and irregular. From my observation I approximately write a chapter a month, although I sometimes write two in a week and then take a break for two months. I can't really say anything about this matter because I'm 100% going with the flow. I do have plenty of ideas though so there will be new chapters eventually.

Now, if you've managed to read this far I'm honestly impressed. I myself am one of those people who thoroughly read or explore all these "useless" details for no particular reason, but I rarely have met others who do that too. For me I think it's just so much fun because you can actually attain knowledge which transcends the "regular experience", but that's just how I feel about it.

Really, enough now, go read the next chapter. I kept you here long enough.

Once again, thank you very much for reading and I hope you enjoy what is to come!
