Welcome back, dear reader.
Perhaps it’s been a year, a week, a day, an hour, a minute or perhaps seconds since we last met.
I had to leave urgently last time, the air is far too thin around here! You should get that checked out when you have the time.
Time.
Sometimes, all a person has is time.
I mean, we all have time… hopefully.
Time to mend our sins,
Time to live our best lives,
And some time to waste.
I don’t. I’m just words on white.
However, I’m not here to talk about me, it’s about Joseph after all.
After all, Joseph will die in The Third Chapter.
But when is The Third Chapter? It’s not a holiday, that’s for sure. Though, I suppose they could make it one after his death.
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
Hm.
But when would the holiday even be? The date of publication? The date when the passage is read?
Everywhen?
Nowhen?
The truth is, The Third Chapter is indeed a place in time, but not the time you experience.
Chronology in novels is an interesting thing. Event A happens, then B then C. However, what happens if the reader reads the book backwards? Then from their perspective, Event C occurs, then B then A.
Perspective. That’s what every novel is about.
That’s what everything is about.
Everything is your perspective and only yours.
What the writer intended doesn’t matter, what makes logical sense doesn’t matter. Every art can be interpreted and that will be the truth.
Therefore, for time in novels, you are the God of time. Only you have the power to change time, to stop time, to rewind time.
Right now, you can stop reading the chapter, or you can refuse to read the next chapter.
That way, you’ll be preventing Joseph’s death!
Remember my plea?
Please do not read The Third Chapter.
Of course, you may think in your clever, little heads:
> “If I’m the God of time, I’ll just read The Third Chapter, then read the first chapter and that’ll mean that Joseph’s death will be prevented!”
I cannot tell you more.
I cannot tell you less.
Please do not read The Third Chapter.
